Joe Buck reviews Newcastle United's newly refurbished club shop that has opened to the public.

00:00So I'm here just outside St. James's Park. The Newcastle United Club Shop has just opened.
00:05You can see just behind me there. It opened at 2pm for Max Plus members and it's open
00:09at 4pm for the public. Now it's been a long time coming, this new club shop. Of course,
00:14Newcastle United signed that kid deal with Adidas. Kids made by Adidas for the first
00:18time in over a decade and a half this season and it's hotly anticipated. The new permanent
00:22club shop, there was one just across the road over my shoulder there, that's now been shut
00:25down because of the opening of this new one. And to be fair, the new one is fantastic.
00:29It's a complete refurbishment of what used to be in there. As soon as you walk in, there's
00:33mannequins of Newcastle United players, big screens of Tyne Bridge, St. James's Park,
00:40iconic Newcastle landmarks and there's everything you want in the shop. Of course, you can expect
00:45what to see in there but as the design goes, there's been chatter recently worried about
00:51whether the club are serious about putting money in and I know this is not a big thing,
00:55don't get me wrong, it's not as big as a new stadium but to see it redeveloped shows that
00:58clearly people care about it because it is a much better shop than it was a year ago,
01:03two years ago, I don't know how long, probably in my memory. So yeah, certainly must go and
01:07see, it's open every day. As I said, it's open from four o'clock today and Monday, well
01:13seven days a week. Hours vary on match days so look out for that but yeah, as I said,
01:16it's a brilliant new club shop and one that I'm sure fans will be excited to go see. And
01:21yeah, that's the one bit of positive news, only Newcastle United just have to back that
01:25little bit of positivity up by a win against Chelsea tonight in the Carabao Cup with a
01:28spot in the quarterfinal on the line so yeah, huge day for Newcastle. It started with a
01:32new club shop opening, can it end with a win and a place in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal?
01:37That, we'll just have to wait and find out.
