00:00 You can't see the impact, but the audio from this security camera captures the horror.
00:07 The screams that occurred just after the impact occurred are horrifying.
00:18 About nine o'clock last night in Doonside, a Ford Territory, hits Jodie Robertson and
00:22 her fiancé Curtis Hickey.
00:24 Ran over him twice, reversed back, hit their car and then drove off.
00:31 As the driver flees, he crashes into a tree.
00:34 I heard a scraping noise. I saw the four-wheel drive go around there. White four-wheel drive.
00:41 I just heard his back tyre.
00:43 Police say it started with an argument between Mr Hickey and Corey Porter, who lives up the
00:48 road from Ms Robertson.
00:50 It was over their dogs.
00:52 Ms Robertson went to speak to the 29-year-old. Police allege that as the dispute escalated,
00:57 Mr Porter threatened Mr Hickey with an axe.
01:00 Revved his engine about three times, sped up, hit them.
01:05 Both suffered serious head injuries and Mr Hickey has broken and dislocated bones.
01:11 These people have got lifelong injuries.
01:14 The street tells of the car's violent movements. Broken plastic is scattered on the road and
01:19 you can see skid marks where the vehicle took off.
01:22 Some of the car stuff is still stuck in the tree.
01:27 After the tree hampered his getaway, Mr Porter was arrested nearby. He's been charged with
01:32 causing grievous bodily harm and dangerous driving.
01:36 This particular incident highlights how horribly wrong neighbour disputes can go.
01:42 Police are urging people to be calm and rational when conflict arises between neighbours.
