00:00 Stage 6 of the 2024 Tirreno Adriatico ventured into the hilly terrain of Le Marche, starting

00:13 in beautiful Sassoferrato.

00:23 One attempt followed another, and after 40km a group of 10 came together at the front.

00:29 As in yesterday's stage, Vismalisa Bike kept the breakaway close, the high pace meant that

00:37 the pressure was always intense.

00:43 Former world champions dropped out of the leading group, and a hilly led a group of

00:49 four over the intermediate sprint at Pian di Trebbio.

00:58 But by the second categorised climb at Moria, Lec Nissonde and Carapaz were alone.

01:06 The chase behind was relentless, but the two persisted, taking the mountain points and

01:13 then riding together towards Cagli at the foot of the final climb.

01:29 The two men worked well together, but on the punishing final ascent, the Olympic champion

01:37 pressed on alone.

01:41 Even so, he was shedding time too quickly to the chasers.
