00:00 So how's your first few months here in Norman been?
00:03 It's been pretty good, you know, just adjusting to everything that's here getting used to all the
00:08 workouts, all my new teammates
00:10 Could get a connection with everybody here
00:13 And obviously, you know, you've had a good relationship you said with Coach Jones for a while now
00:19 How's it been like getting to actually meet him and be coached by him?
00:22 It's been good him coaching me pushing us through all the drills
00:27 Teaching him teaching me a bunch of new stuff. So it's been pretty good
00:30 Get closer to him and everybody here
00:34 What's your relationship been like building with the other receivers and receivers, some of the more veteran guys?
00:40 Yeah, it's been pretty good and teaching me all the new drills how to do stuff correcting me if I mess up
00:47 They've been a big help so far. So
00:50 going into the spring vlogs you want to learn from them and
00:55 Try to see what I can do better
00:57 What are workouts like? Have you learned that Spitty doesn't mess around?
01:02 Yeah, his workouts are pretty hard, you know, he's always
01:05 pushing us
01:07 Just to be better to do everything right to sprint everywhere. So
01:11 It's been pretty good to have him here as a strength coach. What's the toughest thing he's made you do this one?
01:17 individual workout or coaching station
01:21 How to coach the stations and that drills has been pretty hard. So
01:25 It's been tough since we got here
01:28 Where the mattress has been like you can walk us through that
01:32 No, it's been very hard, you know just him pushing us and if we do it wrong I was making us do it again
01:40 What is a mad joke and system?
01:43 It's just like first year
01:45 Just us like on the ground, you know, just rolling around and stuff. So it's been it's been pretty tough
01:52 Especially after a hard workout
01:53 Is there any kind of veteran receivers in that room specifically that have helped you or kind of taking you aside and been?
01:59 Earlier or is it just in the whole room in general? I think the whole room in general
02:03 I've just been there for all the young guys just
02:05 Like coach us up on everything. But I feel like
02:09 Nick and Jayden Gibson, they've all been there for me personally like I'm always in their line
02:14 So they always there coach me up and tell me what I'm doing wrong
02:19 Taller receivers all three of you think that you guys kind of a similar play style
02:22 Do you think that what they what they teach you can kind of help you grow?
02:26 Yeah, I think it can't cuz they're the same they're all like basically the same height as me. So
02:31 What they're doing I'll probably be able to do and when I start growing and going through all the new drills
02:37 Something just adjusting at college in general and just figuring out the balance of what it's like
02:45 I
02:47 Was pretty hard transitioning because that's when we're in high school, you know, just routine thing already
02:55 So is it pretty good just adjusting to everything going to class?
02:59 Super good
03:01 Who you rooming with Zion Kearney?
03:04 It does that kind of help you guys build some chemistry in that receiver room getting to live together in the same room
03:09 Yeah, it does
03:10 If we ever have like questions about anything, we can always just talk about it
03:14 We're always just hanging around in the living room or in the kitchen
03:17 Just building that connection
03:20 Are there any other freshman receivers that you've gotten to build that connection with so far?
03:25 Jacob Jordan, I've been building it with him. We've been playing golf together just in the players lounge
03:30 Just hanging around talking to him whenever I see him
03:33 What do you think of coach Venable's now that he's officially your coach and not just recruiting you? It's good. You know, he's a good guy
03:40 He's been helping everybody throughout the judges watching us pushing us
03:44 He's been there supporting everybody there
03:47 It's been good just going through all the walkthroughs we've been through just him being there in the drills pushing us like actually pushing us
04:05 So it's a pretty good support
04:07 You excited to start official start spring ball? I am pretty excited. I haven't been on the field in a minute
04:14 So I'm excited to get back out there
04:16 You still getting the chance to talk to your family? How's that been? Obviously you're hours away here in Oklahoma. It's been pretty hard just
04:23 Not being able to see them every day or live with them. So
04:27 It's been pretty hard, but I just always talk to them on the phone go down there when we have a weekend off or something
04:33 So it's been pretty good
