Ebbsfleet Academy school parking problems
Pupils at Ebbsfleet Academy are campaining for better access to their school and say problem parking and speeding outside the gates is an "accident waiting to happen".

00:09 introduce given that this is a public car park because it it feeds for the
00:13 surgery, it feeds for the public library, the pharmacy as well as the Academy. So
00:18 the council need to really have a look at what they can put in place, whether
00:22 it be restrictions on the car park, security, they need to have some
00:28 enforcement for people that are illegally parking on the double lines, people are
00:35 parking on the roundabouts, this is all illegal so something needs to be done
00:39 about it. The councils have been conducting a campaign, they've written to the local MPs,
00:45 they've been out in their high vizs doing surveys, they've asked students for
00:51 their opinions on what's happening and the conclusions are all the same that
00:55 something needs to happen and it needs to happen quickly especially given the
00:59 influx of the communities that are growing in the Castle Hill area with the
01:03 Absolute Development Corporation. So with all the new housing that's going on
01:07 they really need to think about the infrastructure and making sure there's
01:11 there's enough in place to keep everybody safe.
