00:00 Overnight, the bodies of Jesse and Luke were moved to the morgue and detectives will talk
00:06 to staff there today about when a post-mortem can happen.
00:09 But it's still very much an active crime scene on the ground here in Bungonia.
00:14 Police tape is up.
00:15 This area has been cordoned off since one o'clock yesterday afternoon when the bodies
00:20 were found.
00:21 This morning, several police officers and the dog squad has arrived to conduct more
00:26 line searches for any additional evidence they might find.
00:30 And yesterday we also saw Mr Baird's family come and visit the site.
00:34 They left the area around 7.30 last night.
00:37 Just an absolutely heartbreaking situation but hopefully they were able to get some closure
00:42 and I understand that the other victim's family chose not to visit the site.
00:48 Isaac, where you are at the moment in Bungonia, it's at the road where the bodies were found.
00:53 What can you tell us about the area?
00:58 Yes that's right.
00:59 So I'm a few hundred metres down from where the bodies were found.
01:01 There's an active search happening in that area at the moment.
01:04 It's very dense bushland.
01:06 It's your quintessential Australian landscape driving into any rural town.
01:10 Bungonia is a small country town, a population of between three and four hundred people.
01:16 I had the privilege of meeting some of the residents during very different circumstances
01:19 a few years ago and they're very warm, welcoming, inviting people.
01:23 So it must be very strange and harrowing for them to have one of their main roads closed
01:28 off due to an active crime scene all day and all morning.
01:31 We have seen cars, including school buses, turned around here.
