00:09 The Social Security System announced that it is earning 62.8% of its net income of P51 billion in 2023.

00:19 Based on the 2023 audited financial statement of the SSS,

00:24 its net income reached P83 billion, which is higher than its net income of P52 billion in 2022.

00:33 According to SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Rolando Ledesma Makasait,

00:39 this is the highest net income they have ever achieved.

00:43 In addition, the SSS's net income increased by 15.6% in 2023,

00:48 which is estimated to be P353 billion from P306 billion in 2022.

00:55 According to Makasait, the SSS maintained a low expenditure in 2023
