00:00 The last of the moisture from the storm
00:02 system we've been talking about for the
00:03 week is gone and what has it led to?
00:06 Snow and wind and all sorts of
00:08 different things.
00:08 Just checking in on some of the storm reports.
00:11 You can still see some of those rain
00:13 reports and flooding concerns that we've
00:15 had over the past couple of days.
00:17 Still, some of those reports highlighted there.
00:18 The wind is also a big factor for Colorado
00:21 and New Mexico at this point in time,
00:23 and there are some fire conditions
00:25 too because of that wind.
00:26 So we do have to watch out for that,
00:29 but the story is really what it
00:30 has done to California as the
00:32 moisture exits the snowpack.
00:34 Here has gone up.
00:35 We've been talking about snowpack
00:37 trying to make it to 100%.
00:38 We've done that in the northern Sierra,
00:41 Central Sierra were still a little
00:42 bit shy of that and Southern Sierra
00:44 falling still a little short of that still.
00:47 But again,
00:47 we're trending in the right direction,
00:49 so this is some good news.
00:51 This is what helps keep us out of drought
00:53 as we talk about again that snowpack there.
00:55 And we talked about the rainfall
00:57 that's come down in some spots.
00:59 We have seen more moisture for San Francisco.
01:01 Just in this past outbreak of rainfall,
01:04 and put us up to almost 18 inches
01:06 of rain for the wet season,
01:08 which begins at the beginning of
01:10 October ends through April,
01:11 and that means we're above historical average.
01:13 So we are talking about a wetter than
01:16 historical average season so far.
01:18 Thursday though,
01:18 dry weather as the last of the snow
01:21 showers move out of Colorado.
01:22 Places like Grand Junction,
01:24 a little bit of rain,
01:25 so places like Grand Junction,
01:27 a little bit of moisture there.
01:29 Salt Lake City also dealing
01:30 with some wet weather.
01:32 Our story though is very quiet
01:33 through the upcoming hours.
01:34 Really not much in the board here as
01:37 far as future radar is concerned,
01:38 and we're going to keep things
01:40 dry with the new storm system.
