00:00 High pressure hanging on in the south.
00:02 A dry day by and large over central and eastern England.
00:05 One or two showers for Wales, perhaps early on.
00:07 But we do have this weather front drifting southwards.
00:10 That'll clear from Scotland and Northern Ireland
00:12 by the afternoon.
00:13 Showers will follow in behind.
00:15 And that rain will push into parts of northwest England
00:17 and west Wales by the end of the day.
00:20 It's only quite breezy as well, particularly so in the south.
00:22 But this is a cold front.
00:24 So ahead of it, we've still got the mild air in place.
00:27 Temperatures getting into the teens in places.
00:29 But starting at least to turn a little chillier further north.
00:34 That process will continue later this week
00:36 as the first cold front pushes through.
00:39 And then a couple of weather systems we're watching.
00:41 This one in particular winding up just
00:43 as it approaches the UK.
00:45 Again, the isobars squeeging together.
00:47 It's going to get windy.
00:48 But a greater cause for concern is the amount of rain
00:51 this is going to generate.
00:53 Because the ground is saturated in places across Wales
00:56 and southwest England, that is likely to cause some issues.
00:59 So there is a warning in place.
01:00 Further flooding, further disruption,
01:03 highly likely, actually.
01:04 The rain will spread to all areas pretty rapidly.
01:07 And for most, it'll actually clear through the afternoon.
01:10 So something a little bit brighter.
01:12 Temperatures, if anything, going up through Wednesday
01:14 because that weather system is bringing milder air.
01:16 But it won't feel all that mild with the wind and the rain.
01:20 That weather system should be clearing through.
01:22 But it's linked back to another one, which potentially brings
01:26 another spell of rain as we go through Thursday.
01:28 In particular, this weather front could be quite active.
01:31 Some heavy rain on this one as it moves through
01:34 during the course of Thursday.
01:35 So again, if you've got plans for Thursday,
01:37 do keep up to date with the details.
01:39 Because this could be quite a lively band of rain
01:41 as it crosses from west to east.
01:43 Again, following on behind something a little brighter
01:46 for a time.
01:47 But again, as it clears through, temperatures
01:50 will be dropping once more back closer to average by Thursday.
01:54 Still quite mild across the southeast.
