Teleconsult para sa mga PDL, inilunsad ng DOJ at BuCor
Transcript
00:00 As for the lack of doctors in the Bureau of Corrections,
00:04 DOJ and Bucor launched a teleconsultation for PDLs who need medical assistance.
00:11 That's what Luis Eriste reported.
00:13 Aside from the strict prison, one of the big problems of persons deprived of liberty is the treatment.
00:21 The Justice Department admitted that there are very few doctors in the facilities of the Bureau of Corrections
00:28 to treat the PDLs' health.
00:31 That's why DOJ and Bucor launched telemedicine for PDLs in the Correctional Institution for Women.
00:40 Even online, PDLs can now consult.
00:44 If you have a disease, you can see what you can do.
00:47 If you're obese, what can you do?
00:50 And then the app will tell you what to do, what to eat, what to exercise.
00:54 So, it's not just telemedicine, but complete medical solutions for our PDLs.
01:01 PDLs' spending is not a problem anymore.
01:04 Because of the help from the private sector,
01:07 CIW will be able to give 100 vouchers for free consultation.
01:12 They don't have a problem with paying because we know that they are inside
01:18 and it's hard for them to find livelihood.
01:22 So, with that, we are donating telehealth vouchers.
01:26 For now, the program was launched in CIW,
01:29 but DOJ's target is to do this in all facilities of Bucor.
01:34 Hopefully, at least by the end of this administration,
01:38 we will be able to provide a higher number.
01:42 Luisa Erispe for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
