00:13 And just, I mean, God can go on and on about how explosive he is,
00:18 how he stays attached.
00:20 At the line of scrimmage, he just gets off the football.
00:24 Just a real athlete and then got a frame to build into,
00:28 just put some good weight on and just an amazing young man.
00:32 Been really fun seeing him buy into what Troy Fitanu,
00:37 I think he got to know him a little bit over the course of the winter and
00:40 the spring.
00:41 And really kind of looked at him as a guy that, you know what,
00:45 I can be that guy and I really like his personality too.
00:48 And so credit our players always, right?
00:52 Because they're as good of a recruiter on our staff when people see our culture,
00:56 when people see just what our locker room looks like.
01:00 What from a player standpoint, and this situation where I think
01:05 Paki really saw what our offensive line personality was,
01:11 how those guys got along, and he got a lot of time to just really kind of get
01:16 a feel for that.
01:17 So, David comes to us from Clovis North High School,
01:21 that's just down the street from where I actually lived not long ago.
01:26 And things happen for a reason, and he was kind of a late
01:31 comer in the process for us, but once we saw him and really,
01:35 the guy just blew us away.
01:38 There was a couple of recommendations as we were kind of feeling out what he was
01:42 all about early, watching his film, that came unsolicited as far as
01:48 just throwing recommendations out there, really no ties to the program.
01:52 Just coaches that he was playing against that were like, man,
01:56 this guy's the real deal.
01:58 And he's a big frame, he's a big, massive human that,
02:02 the guy's a quick first step, and just an amazing family, amazing person.
02:09 He loves ball, he's explosive, moving people,
02:14 just love everything that DeVetan brings.
02:17 And again, we had probably some other guys early in the process, but
02:21 like I said, I think things work out the way they're supposed to, and
02:24 we're certainly glad DeVita is with us.
