00:00 The Prophet's words are not enough.
00:10 In Surah Al-Baqarah, there are many repeated words of mercy.
00:21 For example, in Surah Al-Ma'idah, the words of mercy are very few,
00:25 but there are many warnings from Allah. Why is that?
00:31 Let's follow the discussion in this repetition session.
00:35 [Music]
00:56 Allah is the Greatest.

01:15 And follow not the desires of a people who have gone astray.
01:37 And follow not the desires of a people who have gone astray before,
01:55 and have gone astray a great many, and have gone astray from the right path.

02:29 How are you ladies and gentlemen?
02:31 We meet again in My Quran Time, Quran Salat Imfaq.
02:34 Today, we want to review two pages that we have studied before.
02:39 In pages 121 and 122 of Surah Al-Ma'idah, the fifth surah that provides guidance
02:46 on how when we are given the blessing of success in life,
02:51 the reward for the reward from Allah is for us to fulfill the promise,
02:56 to fulfill the responsibility, not to enjoy or take a vacation throughout our lives.
03:03 And today, we will review with Al-Fadhil Ustaz Abdullah Bukhari.
03:07 How are you Ustaz?
03:09 Alhamdulillah.
03:10 Welcome Ustaz.
03:11 Ustaz Tir, how are you?
03:12 Alhamdulillah.
03:13 Today, we want to discuss with Ustaz to discuss the verses that are actually heavy in Surah Al-Ma'idah.
03:19 It is a bit harder compared to Surah Al-Baqarah.
03:23 There is a reminder about the Bani Israel, but this time there are terms that do not appear in Surah Al-Baqarah
03:31 that tells a lot about the Bani Israel.
03:33 Why is this Bani Israel always repeated?
03:35 Because there are 32 surahs that tell about Prophet Musa and his people.
03:40 So, let us start our session with the prayer.
03:43 Subhanakallah, ilmalana illa ma'allamtana innaka antala 'alimul hakim rabbi zidni ilma
03:51 May Allah bless us with goodness and knowledge today.
03:55 We look at the verse number 77 just now.
03:59 Allah says, "O Muhammad, O People of the Scripture, do not exceed in your religion."
04:08 "La ta'ulu fid-dinikum ghayr al-haqqa"
04:11 And the term "la ta'ulu" does not mean "always"
04:14 We have learned that this term appears in verse 171 of Surah An-Nisa in page 105.
04:20 So, maybe if you could explain in the beginning why this verse appears and why it is different.
04:28 What is the context and understanding you have with me?
04:30 Okay, Alhamdulillah. Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
04:33 Thank you Ustaz Fazlurun and Ustaz Tirah.
04:36 And the audience, ladies and gentlemen, Alhamdulillah we meet again this morning.
04:41 And this question, at the beginning I liked the intro that was given by Ustaz Fazlurun.
04:47 Al-Ma'idah is a bit harsh.
04:50 And if I say that Al-Ma'idah is one of the last surahs that was revealed to Rasulullah.
04:54 So, this surah is like a confirmation.
04:56 You cannot play with religion. This is what you should do.
05:00 So, it is a final closure so that people do not make it easy with the content of the Quran itself.
05:06 Okay, then the question is, why is it the same?
05:10 Indeed, if we look at Surah An-Nisa, Allah says, "O People of the Scripture, do not exceed in your religion."
05:16 This is also mentioned, "Qul ya'ahal kita bila taghlufi dinikum."
05:19 The similarity between the two surahs, the two ayahs, is that we should not exceed, do not exceed.
05:27 And exceeding is in two contexts.
05:29 One, exceeding is too strict.
05:33 Another, exceeding is too harsh.
05:35 And we Muslims are neutral. Not too harsh, not too strict.
05:39 And what happens to the People of the Scripture?
05:42 One extreme is that Christians are too much praise Jesus.
05:46 That is what is mentioned in verse 171.
05:49 Whereas, Jews are more and more praising Jesus.
05:53 So much so that Jesus is said to be the son of Zina and the people of the Scripture.
05:57 So, if we look at the context of these two verses,
06:00 both of them are a message, Allah's message, so that we should not exceed.
06:04 And if we look at the context of these two verses,
06:06 the more accurate context is that it is directed to Christians.
06:09 Christians, Jews come later.
06:11 Christians, for example, in verse 171,
06:13 "Do not exceed in praising Jesus, so that you may raise up Jesus as God."
06:19 Whereas Jesus is a normal human being.
06:21 And the verse 177 that was just read,
06:25 "Do not exceed," this is also directed to Christians.
06:28 "Do not exceed in your religion, not in truth, but in your own desires."
06:33 Why? Because when we exceed, we will create new deeds in religion.
06:38 What is said is that for Christians, this is a spiritual life.
06:42 They are not married, they live far away from others.
06:47 And in verse 177, Allah says,
06:49 "Do not follow your own desires that have been lost before you."
06:54 That is referred to Jews.
06:55 And if we look at the Surah Al-Ma'idah itself,
06:58 from the beginning, it talks about the crimes committed by Jews.
07:02 Then, it is related to the verse that we are reading now.
07:05 The crimes committed by Christians.
07:08 So, in conclusion, we can say that both verses give a firm message,
07:12 "Do not exceed."
07:13 But both verses are more specifically directed to Christians.
07:17 The Surah Al-Nisa verse,
07:18 "Do not exceed in praising Jesus, so that you may raise up Jesus as God."
07:22 And verse 177,
07:23 "Do not exceed in your religion, O Christians,
07:26 following your own desires, creating new religions,
07:29 and following the traces of the Jewish people that have been lost before you."
07:36 So, both of these can't be exaggerated.
07:38 I would like to ask Fadhil Ustaz Abdullah to explain
07:41 why the "Tawlu'u Fi'idhi Ni'kum" has been mentioned in Surah Al-Nisa,
07:46 and this time in Surah Al-Ma'idah,
07:48 to ensure, not to overdo it,
07:50 to have a religion.
07:52 It is still in the name of religion,
07:54 but it is either too weak or too firm.
07:57 If it is too weak, it is like the Jews,
08:01 but if it is Christians,
08:03 it is perhaps too much in loving the Prophet,
08:06 Prophet Isa,
08:07 so that he was raised up as God.
08:09 That is perhaps what we need to learn.
08:11 Do not be too firm,
08:12 do not be too weak,
08:13 too firm or too much in praising the celebrity,
08:18 praising the figures of religion,
08:20 even praising Prophet Muhammad.
08:22 He prayed to the grave of the Prophet's grave,
08:25 not to the Qibla.
08:26 That is perhaps one thing we need to pay attention to.
08:31 And speaking of this "Tawlu'u",
08:33 we continue with the 78th verse,
08:36 how it gives the impression of curse or a curse to whom.
08:43 We read the 78th verse with Fadhil Ustaz Timizi.
08:46 [Fadhil Ustaz Timizi recites the 78th verse]

09:06 [Fadhil Ustaz Timizi recites the 78th verse]
09:31 [Fadhil Ustaz Timizi recites the 78th verse]
09:45 We know that Prophet Daud was a king,
09:47 he had a strong character.
09:49 If he wanted to curse the grave,
09:52 he would have to be rational.
09:54 But Prophet Isa was soft like Prophet Ibrahim,
09:57 compared to Prophet Noah and Prophet Musa,
09:59 he had a strong character.
10:00 Prophet Isa was soft,
10:01 but he was still recorded here as
10:04 [Fadhil Ustaz Timizi recites the 78th verse]
10:07 Why did Prophet Isa curse them among the Children of Israel?
10:13 We will follow the answer after this.
10:15 We will take a break.
10:16 We will be back with Quran Time.
10:17 Quran Salah Deen Fahad.

13:14 We are back with Quran Time.
13:15 Quran Salah Deen Fahad.
13:16 We are reciting the 121st and 122nd pages of Surah Al-Ma'idah.
13:21 We have just read from the 78th verse
13:25 how the curse or the curse of Prophet Daud and Prophet Isa
13:31 was recorded in Surah Al-Ma'idah.
13:33 We are with Fadhil Ustaz Abdullah to explain
13:36 why Prophet Daud and Prophet Isa
13:39 were far from the time
13:43 and why they were not recorded.
13:46 Please.
13:47 Thank you.
13:48 First of all, we have to remember that this verse was sent down
13:51 to the Prophet's time, addressed to the scholars
13:54 during the Prophet's time in Madinah.
13:56 Because their stubbornness was so great
13:59 that Rasulullah had to fight them.
14:02 Sometimes, this battle was a war of inheritance.
14:05 So, this verse was sent down to give them a warning.
14:08 "You should not be stubborn like your great-grandmother.
14:10 Your great-grandmother was once adopted by Prophet Daud.
14:14 She was once adopted by Prophet Isa.
14:16 There is a story that Prophet Daud adopted them
14:19 because of the case of Saturday.
14:22 They were not allowed to catch fish on Saturday.
14:26 But they did all kinds of tricks.
14:28 Finally, the whole village was in a frenzy
14:31 to catch fish on Saturday.
14:33 So, because of that,
14:35 they were finally punished by Allah.
14:38 They were changed into a fish.
14:40 That was a popular story.
14:41 That was the time of Prophet Daud.
14:42 The time of Prophet Isa was referred to
14:45 the followers of Prophet Isa who asked for a treat.
14:49 That was the heavenly treat.
14:50 And Allah Ta'ala, actually,
14:51 if we read in the end of Surah Al-Ma'idah,
14:53 Allah Ta'ala gave a warning.
14:55 If the treat is sent down,
14:57 but they are still stubborn,
14:59 not believing in Allah,
15:00 they will be punished.
15:02 And they were changed into a fish.
15:06 So, why were they cursed?
15:09 One, because of their extraordinary stubbornness.
15:12 Prophet Daud was cursed,
15:13 and Prophet Isa was cursed
15:14 because of their extraordinary stubbornness.
15:16 But what is more important than this verse,
15:19 is the issue in the 79th verse.
15:22 In the 79th verse,
15:24 if there was no common misconduct,
15:27 maybe the prophets would be angry.
15:30 But when they let go of the misconduct,
15:33 not blaming each other,
15:35 not preventing the misconduct that happened to them,
15:38 that was also one of the reasons why Prophet Daud
15:40 and Prophet Isa were cursed.
15:43 That is why the 79th verse should be read together
15:46 with the 78th verse.
15:48 They were cursed because they did not prevent
15:52 the misconduct that happened to them.
15:54 When we read these two verses,
15:56 Rasulullah SAW emphasized,
15:59 "You must ask for forgiveness.
16:01 You must prevent the misconduct.
16:02 If you do not prevent the misconduct,
16:04 there will be a bigger disaster.
16:06 And the impact of the disaster
16:08 will not only befall those who commit the misconduct,
16:12 but it can also be devastating to those
16:14 who do not commit the misconduct themselves.
16:17 In this context,
16:19 when we look at Prophet Daud praying for this curse to befall them,
16:25 was Prophet Daud in that area,
16:27 or was he already out of that area?
16:30 I am looking at it because in this story,
16:33 when we read about Bani Israel,
16:36 which we call the people of Nelayan,
16:39 we do not see Prophet Daud in that story.
16:41 For example, when we open Surah Al-Baqarah,
16:43 Surah Al-A'raf,
16:44 we do not see Prophet Daud there.
16:46 Only the tafsir scholars mention that
16:49 in the name of Prophet Daud,
16:53 he was the one who caught the fish.
16:57 So I can assume that
16:59 they were in the territory of the government of Prophet Daud.
17:03 And Prophet Daud,
17:04 among his instructions,
17:05 "You, my people, must pray on Saturday."
17:08 "Like this place,
17:10 among the challenges or tests from Allah to you,
17:12 you must sit and catch the fish in the midst of the disaster."
17:15 "So even if you want to catch the fish,
17:17 Allah's instructions to me,
17:19 through the book of Zabur,
17:21 for example,
17:22 you cannot catch the fish on Saturday."
17:24 "Because on Saturday,
17:25 you must focus on your worship."
17:27 So maybe we can link it.
17:29 Because if we read the tafsir,
17:31 Prophet Daud said,
17:32 "They cursed based on Allah's instructions in the book of Zabur."
17:35 So that is a big lesson.
17:38 How in a community,
17:40 there must be a culture of
17:42 "Yatanahau na'amunka"
17:44 If that does not happen,
17:46 it invites the curse from Allah SWT.
17:49 What does "Yatanahau na'amunka" mean?
17:51 It is a curse for any kind of evil.
17:54 In a company,
17:55 if there is something that does not comply with the SOP,
17:57 it is cursed.
17:58 In a country,
17:59 if there is something that is not in accordance with the curse,
18:02 but the curse does not cause the curse to be bigger,
18:05 it happens.
18:06 Maybe there is an additional comment.
18:07 One more thing,
18:08 I like it when it talks about the importance of preventing evil.
18:11 One verse that is always mentioned by the scholars
18:14 in Surah Al-Anfal.
18:15 Allah said,
18:16 "Wa taqoo fitnatallatusi binalladhina dhalamu minkum khalsa"
18:20 You must be careful.
18:22 A disaster that does not only happen to the oppressors,
18:27 but it will affect the general public.
18:29 For example,
18:30 we take the context of the time
18:32 for an issue related to the importance of preventing evil
18:35 to cause a bigger disaster.
18:37 The irresponsible party does not maintain cleanliness.
18:41 They do not maintain cleanliness.
18:42 They want to be cursed.
18:44 They want to be cursed.
18:46 They are at home because they are dirty.
18:48 But the evil or the evil that they do,
18:51 when the curse is true,
18:53 the curse does not only bite them.
18:54 The curse goes to another place.
18:56 So when the neighbors see,
18:57 I am afraid,
18:58 do not prevent the evil,
19:00 try to fix the situation.
19:03 When the curse is true,
19:06 it bites others.
19:07 A community can be affected by a disaster.
19:10 So,
19:11 the verse "Wa taqwu"
19:13 I always say,
19:15 when I give a speech,
19:17 these verses can be used for campaigns.
19:20 Campaigns to prevent evil.
19:23 This is the verse.
19:24 "Rasuah" and so on.
19:25 It means we must be careful,
19:26 we must prevent evil.
19:27 Otherwise, the disaster will affect everyone.
19:29 Thank you, Dut Syahkan,
19:30 for explaining to us
19:32 the importance of preventing evil.
19:35 And of course,
19:36 this is from Surah Al-Ma'idah.
19:38 It is much more important
19:40 because it is in the phase
19:42 when there is a country,
19:43 for example,
19:44 a community,
19:45 an organization,
19:46 one person doing it,
19:48 it can affect the existing system
19:51 and we do not want
19:52 damage,
19:53 disasters to occur
19:54 because there is someone
19:56 who makes a mosquito
19:57 and it is not reprimanded.
19:59 We continue with the 80th verse.
20:01 We read together with Al-Fadlul Susten Mizi.
20:04 Let's start with the 80th verse.
20:07 You will see many of them
20:13 turning away those who disbelieve.
20:21 Evil is that which their souls have sent forth for them,
20:32 that Allah should be angry with them
20:39 and that they should abide in torment.
20:51 Surah Al-Qaluh, the 80th verse,
20:55 tells about the majority
20:57 of those who disbelieve.
21:01 If you can explain what it means,
21:03 "Wa launalladhi nakafaru"
21:05 people say it is the term "al-walaq".
21:08 Usually people say
21:10 if we do not obey the leader of Islam,
21:13 we will be expelled.
21:16 But the case in this verse,
21:20 what is the original meaning of "al-walaq"?
21:22 Al-walaq gives
21:26 complete loyalty to Islam.
21:34 One thing,
21:37 when we read the Quran,
21:38 so that we are not confused,
21:40 we have to remember that
21:42 the Quran was revealed in the time of the Prophet,
21:44 speaking to the people of the time of the Prophet.
21:46 But the context,
21:47 the principle can be brought to all times.
21:49 And Surah Al-Ma'idah,
21:51 as explained earlier,
21:52 was revealed in Madinah.
21:53 And among those who were fierce and fierce
21:57 against the Prophet in Madinah,
21:58 there were the people of the scripture,
21:59 such as the Jews and so on.
22:00 So the verses like this,
22:02 Allah does not want to remind them,
22:03 "Do not be stubborn,
22:04 do not cross the line,
22:05 do not be stubborn.
22:06 If you are stubborn, you will be expelled.
22:08 And with you,
22:09 you see what you do against Muhammad,
22:12 this is something wrong,
22:14 you should prevent this rebellion,
22:16 you have to be firm with each other,
22:17 among all others.
22:18 And among the crimes committed by the Jews in Madinah
22:21 at that time,
22:22 Allah says,
22:23 "And those who disbelieve,
22:24 they have given certainty to the disbelievers."
22:28 And the story,
22:29 if you read the translation,
22:30 is one of the stories brought by the interpreters,
22:32 the stories of the scholars of the Jews in Madinah.
22:35 Such as Huyay bin al-Akhtab,
22:38 and also one of the famous ones,
22:40 Ka'b bin al-Ashraf.
22:41 Ka'b bin al-Ashraf,
22:43 after the Muslims experienced defeat in the battle of Uhud,
22:47 he saw that there was an opportunity for us
22:50 to defeat Muhammad by being in alliance with the outside.
22:54 Then he went to Makkah.
22:56 He went to Makkah,
22:57 read the Shaa'a of the residents of Makkah,
23:00 because Ka'b was a poet.
23:01 The poet,
23:02 in the past,
23:03 was like a singer,
23:04 who could give influence.
23:06 He went to Makkah,
23:07 met the family of the Makkah people,
23:09 who were dead,
23:10 family members in the battle of Badr,
23:12 read the Shaa'a,
23:13 commemorating the services of Ka'b,
23:16 telling the badness of Rasulullah and Islam,
23:19 which caused the Makkah people to burn with anger
23:22 because of the efforts of Ka'b al-Ashraf.
23:25 When the dialogue happened,
23:27 Allah Almighty recorded it in Surah An-Nisa.
23:30 The Makkah people asked,
23:31 "Who is right,
23:32 between us and Muhammad?"
23:33 Then Ka'b al-Ashraf,
23:34 for political reasons,
23:36 said, "You are right,
23:37 Muhammad is wrong."
23:38 So,
23:39 in silence,
23:40 they had made an agreement,
23:43 a pre-agreement.
23:44 At first,
23:45 when Rasulullah arrived in Madinah,
23:47 they had made a pledge to defend Madinah.
23:52 But when they saw an opportunity
23:54 to defeat Rasulullah,
23:56 they sought a stronger side.
23:59 They made a pre-agreement,
24:01 until the battle of Ahzab or Khanda'a happened.
24:04 So,
24:05 because of the actions of the Jewish scholars
24:07 during the time of the Prophet,
24:08 Allah Almighty did not send down this verse.
24:10 Allah Almighty said,
24:11 "You have obtained much from them,
24:13 even though those who disbelieve
24:15 have bought the faith of the disbelievers
24:17 to defeat Rasulullah."
24:19 And the action of this verse,
24:21 Allah Almighty said,
24:22 "The more they have put themselves before them,
24:24 the more Allah will punish them."
24:25 Because of this action,
24:26 Allah Almighty punished them.
24:28 This punishment,
24:29 if we want to say it easily,
24:31 if you look at your grandparents,
24:33 during the time of Dawud a.s.
24:35 and Isa a.s.
24:36 they were cursed by Allah,
24:38 because of their actions.
24:39 You too,
24:40 may Allah be pleased with you,
24:41 are being cursed by Allah,
24:42 because you have given
24:44 the faith of the disbelievers
24:46 to the disbelievers.
24:47 That is why Allah Almighty said,
24:48 "Sakhita Allahu 'alayhim."
24:50 So, "Sakhita Allahu 'alayhim,"
24:51 we can relate it to the previous verse,
24:53 "Allah cursed them."
24:55 Thank you, Mr. Shaikh.
24:56 Mr. Fadhil Hussain Abdullah
24:57 explained how important it is
24:58 to keep promises.
25:00 And do not have promises
25:01 over promises.
25:03 Because there is a personal interest.
25:05 It can happen in an organization,
25:07 for example,
25:08 in a company,
25:09 where there is a promise,
25:10 when you enter the company,
25:11 there is a promise.
25:12 If there is a promise with someone else,
25:13 you get a commission,
25:14 or something like that.
25:15 If those things
25:16 break the first promise
25:18 that actually
25:20 is directed to Allah Almighty,
25:22 then that is also
25:23 one thing
25:24 that we need to pay attention to.
25:25 What was said earlier,
25:27 the Jews,
25:28 this is the hypocrite,
25:30 who actually
25:31 looks beautiful in front,
25:33 but behind,
25:34 he tries to rob
25:36 or tries to kill
25:38 the companions and the Prophet Muhammad.
25:41 Peace be upon him.
25:42 We will take a break.
25:43 We will be back after this.

29:33 Welcome back to my Quran Time, Quran Salat and Fard.
29:36 We are together re-examining pages 121 and 122.
29:40 I would like to thank all of you
29:43 who are present in the studio.
29:44 Today we have friends from
29:46 Al-Isra Group, Shahalam.
29:48 Alhamdulillah, welcome.
29:50 And also to the Istiqamah Group.
29:53 We are here together to re-examine
29:56 and get a glimpse of the Quran.
29:58 Hopefully, with this guidance,
30:00 we can provide guidance.
30:02 Perhaps some of you are wondering
30:04 how is Surah Ma'idah
30:06 to be practiced in life?
30:09 The story about the Jews and the Christians.
30:12 Jews were not present.
30:13 In Penang, some of them were already in the grave.
30:15 Now, there are Jews on the streets
30:18 in Malaysia.
30:20 How do I get the general guidance
30:23 before we go to the next question?
30:26 I have read the words of Sadrna Umar.
30:29 He said, "Teach men Surah Ma'idah."
30:32 "Teach women Surah An-Nur."
30:36 Because the content of An-Nur
30:38 is suitable for women.
30:40 About adultery, adultery,
30:42 covering of the body.
30:44 Why is Surah Ma'idah
30:46 not recommended for men?
30:48 It has issues related to
30:50 the contractual phobia.
30:51 The burwan, the polygamy.
30:54 And it tells the history of the bad things
30:56 done by the Jews and the Christians.
30:58 Hopefully, when we read it,
31:00 it's easy like this.
31:01 When there are many stories of problems,
31:03 the end of the teaching is,
31:04 "Don't make problems like this."
31:07 And if possible,
31:09 avoid as much as possible
31:11 from repeating the mistakes
31:13 that they have done.
31:14 The Jews have made their mistakes
31:16 by changing the content of the Torah.
31:18 For example, the Christians,
31:20 their mistakes have been
31:22 extreme in their religion.
31:24 And we can relate it to our time.
31:26 Extreme in religion or
31:27 loose in religion.
31:29 And the Quran will always be relevant
31:31 if we take the teaching
31:32 in the right way.
31:33 So, that is one of the aspects
31:36 why Surah Ma'idah
31:38 needs to be given attention.
31:39 It means that men need to understand.
31:41 And mothers need to understand
31:43 why they are teaching their sons.
31:45 And to make sure that
31:47 the husband is a man too.
31:48 If he doesn't have time to listen to
31:50 My Quran Time,
31:51 he can chat with his son.
31:52 It's quite true,
31:53 the story about this
31:54 as a lesson together
31:56 on the table of eating.
31:58 We continue with the 82nd verse
32:00 that was read just now
32:02 related to the Christian group,
32:04 the Christians.
32:06 [Al-Quran 82 verse]
32:11 There is a comment from Allah
32:14 about the Christians.
32:16 What does it mean by Christians,
32:17 Ruhban and why are they being killed?
32:20 Please.
32:21 I really like this verse.
32:23 Like before,
32:24 I was in the UAE in the early 2000s.
32:27 We worked in the UAE.
32:28 In our department,
32:29 in the language department,
32:31 there was a Christian.
32:32 He was British,
32:33 his name was Ursula.
32:34 He was very polite, kind.
32:36 When I talked to him,
32:37 I always said,
32:38 if you accept Islam,
32:41 you will get double rewards.
32:43 That is based on the verse in Surah Al-Qasas.
32:46 So,
32:47 the people of the scripture,
32:48 if we look at it,
32:49 there are Jews and Christians.
32:50 But in this verse,
32:51 Allah said,
32:52 the one who is closest to his love
32:54 to the believers,
32:55 the Muslims,
32:56 is the Christians.
32:57 And this verse is for more.
32:58 We say,
32:59 to understand,
33:00 this verse is about
33:02 An-Najashi.
33:04 And An-Najashi is the king of Harsha.
33:06 The king of Harsha,
33:07 who has given protection to the Muslims
33:09 during the first migration.
33:11 And if we want to complete the 82 verses,
33:14 until the next verse,
33:15 we need to read together with Surah Maryam,
33:18 and read the surah.
33:19 Okay.
33:20 Allah said,
33:21 when Jafar bin Abi Talib
33:24 read Surah Maryam
33:26 to An-Najashi and also
33:28 the scholars of his time,
33:29 the Rahibs of his time,
33:30 in Harsha,
33:31 the first migration.
33:33 An-Najashi and also the Rahibs and also the scholars of his time
33:37 cried with sorrow
33:38 because they saw the truth
33:40 brought by the Prophet,
33:41 which was read through Jafar in Surah Maryam.
33:43 And the word Qisisin,
33:45 actually,
33:46 if we translate it into Malay,
33:48 it is called a scholar.
33:49 Or the easiest,
33:50 Qisisin is the scholars
33:52 in the Christian community.
33:55 Like we say,
33:56 the experts of religion.
33:58 Whereas,
33:59 the word Ruhban refers to
34:00 the life of a Rahib,
34:02 or a worshipper.
34:03 Usually, when we say Ruhban,
34:04 a Rahib is someone who is unmarried,
34:06 who is isolated,
34:07 in a place that is suitable for worship, etc.
34:10 And the interesting thing is,
34:12 Allah did not mention this verse.
34:14 If we look closely,
34:15 we find many Christians,
34:17 right now.
34:18 But,
34:19 the closest to Islam
34:22 are their scholars
34:24 and their worshippers.
34:26 And there is one in UAE,
34:28 Dr. Unggaran.
34:29 He is a BA,
34:31 MA,
34:32 in a university in Indonesia,
34:34 focused on Christianity.
34:36 And when he did his Master's,
34:38 he focused on deepening his studies.
34:40 And finally,
34:41 he became a Muslim.
34:42 So,
34:43 Qisisin and Ruhban,
34:44 Qisisin,
34:45 especially,
34:46 the more they deepen their religion,
34:48 the easier it is for them to embrace Islam.
34:50 And if you look at their verses,
34:52 their hearts are soft enough,
34:53 they cry easily
34:54 when they hear the truth.
34:55 And I believe,
34:56 even though it is not mentioned in the biography,
34:58 or in the Quran or the hadith,
35:00 I believe that they,
35:02 who are praised by Allah in the 82th verse,
35:04 until the next verse,
35:06 they are still embracing Islam with anna jashy
35:09 in the hands of Allah.
35:10 But, what we usually hear,
35:12 the Prophet did his special prayer
35:14 only to anna jashy.
35:15 If we have friends who are Christians,
35:18 especially among the daters
35:20 and the worshippers,
35:22 if they prefer to go to church,
35:25 or read the Bible,
35:27 or study,
35:28 then, of course,
35:30 this is a space for us to convey the verses of the Quran.
35:33 It is easier for them to...
35:35 Sometimes, even the Muslims,
35:37 some of them read the Quran,
35:38 they do not cry,
35:39 but this is because
35:41 they deepen their religion,
35:43 they are impressed
35:44 with the truth that is brought.
35:47 We continue with the 83rd verse,
35:50 the first verse from the 7th juz,
35:52 page 122.
35:53 We read it together with Al-Fadl Usastin Bizi.
35:56 Let's start.
35:59 And when they hear what has been sent down to the Messenger,
36:10 you see their eyes overflowing with tears
36:20 because they have not yet known the truth.
36:28 They say, "Our Lord, we believe,
36:41 so record us with the witnesses."
36:52 May Allah bless you.
36:54 And when they hear what has been sent down to the Messenger,
36:57 you see their eyes overflowing with tears
36:59 because they have not yet known the truth.
37:04 They say, "Our Lord, we believe,
37:07 so record us with the witnesses."
37:14 This is another praise from Allah
37:17 to the Christian-Christian people.
37:21 What is their history?
37:23 What is their reality?
37:24 We will continue in a moment.
37:26 We will take a break.
37:27 My Quran Time.
37:28 Quran Salat Imfah.

39:01 The Jews had many tombs.
39:05 The Prophet could not enter.
39:08 He said, "I will give this flag to a man who will cross the Ka'bah.
39:19 He is a man who is loved by Allah and His Messenger."
39:23 All the companions were wondering who the man was.
39:28 If I'm not mistaken, in the story,
39:31 Umar was there to make himself look taller.
39:34 He wanted to see himself first.
39:38 But when all the companions had gathered,
39:41 the Prophet asked, "Where is Saidina Ali?"
39:44 If I'm not mistaken, at that time,
39:46 Saidina Ali was suffering from an eye disease.
39:49 The Prophet put a bandage on his eye.
39:52 Saidina Ali was the one who held the flag
39:55 and went to the tombs of Khaybar.
39:58 He opened the tombs that were closed.
40:01 This meant that the army of Islam was in trouble.

40:26 We are back in Quran Time, Quran Salat In Fakh.
40:28 We are re-reading page 121 and 122.
40:32 We have just read from the 83rd verse,
40:35 the starting verse from the 7th verse.
40:38 The reality of Christians among the Christians and their relatives,
40:43 when they are heard with the verses of Allah,
40:47 they cry and pray to be made martyrs.
40:53 What does it mean to be martyred?
40:55 Those who witness the truth of Rasulullah SAW and the Quran.
41:00 Because the people of the Bible already know,
41:03 in their Bible, it is said,
41:05 "The Prophet will come after them,
41:09 after the Prophet of Islam,
41:11 whose name is Ahmad or Muhammad."
41:13 So they are waiting.
41:15 Once, when Ja'fa bin Abi Talib was in Abyssinia,
41:20 he read Surah Maryam and told them about the character of Rasulullah SAW.
41:24 They were surprised.
41:25 "These are the people we are waiting for."
41:28 Then he said, "O Allah, make us among those who witness the truth of this Prophet."
41:33 If we want to read this verse beautifully,
41:35 we should read it together with the end of Surah Al-Isra.
41:38 At the end of Surah Al-Isra, Allah ta'ala tells the context of the book of As-Samun.
41:42 That is one interpretation.
41:45 The martyrs witness the truth of Allah,
41:47 saying that the Prophet's promise will come.
41:50 There are also interpreters who say that they want to witness with Rasulullah,
41:54 to be a people of Rasulullah in the hereafter,
41:57 when all the Prophets came with their own people,
42:02 and they were opposed by their own people.
42:05 Prophet Noah said, "I will deliver the da'wah."
42:07 The people of the land said, "You will not deliver the da'wah."
42:10 So Allah ta'ala wanted to take a second opinion.
42:13 Then he asked the people of Prophet Muhammad.
42:15 The people of Prophet Muhammad said, "We witness that Prophet Noah delivered the da'wah."
42:19 Then Allah ta'ala asked, "How do you know? You did not live with them."
42:23 "We believe in the Qur'an. The Qur'an says that Prophet Noah delivered the da'wah."
42:27 And the Muslims were given the honor of witnessing with Rasulullah
42:31 about the truth brought by the Prophets
42:33 through their faith in the Qur'an.
42:35 This was mentioned in Surah Al-Juzu 2.
42:37 He said, "And I will not be a follower of the Muslims."
42:40 Although they were Christians,
42:42 they wanted to be a chosen people
42:44 after they had accepted the truth of Islam or the Qur'an.
42:48 InshaAllah.
42:49 So that was a great lesson for all of us.
42:51 That if we have a little truth in us,
42:55 if we meet the verse of the Qur'an,
42:58 it can flow like a river.
43:00 And that makes us want to be martyrs.
43:04 We want to fight and we want to be with the group of Prophet Muhammad SAW.
43:10 And of course, more than that,
43:13 we witnessed with Prophet Noah and so on.
43:16 Because we want to be with those who also fought in the early stages of the past.
43:22 And we continue with page 122.
43:25 If we go down, we find the words,
43:29 "And I will not be a follower of the Muslims."
43:33 It talks about food.
43:35 There are many verses about food in Surah Al-Ma'idah.
43:38 One of the pillars of the Islamic law is food.
43:41 So when it talks about halal and ta'iba,
43:44 then suddenly it talks about swearing in verse 89.
43:48 What is the connection between food and swearing?
43:50 We are surprised.
43:51 Actually, the connection is quite good.
43:54 If you look at verse 72,
43:55 Allah said, "O' People of the Book, do not transgress your religion."
43:58 That refers to swearing in the Book.
44:01 It turns out that the Muslims were also sworn in.
44:03 That was in verse 87.
44:04 Allah said, "O' you who believe, do not forbid the good things that Allah has made lawful for you."
44:10 He had a story.
44:11 The three companions of the Prophet went to meet the wife of the Prophet.
44:14 She asked about the life of the Prophet.
44:16 So the wife of the Prophet told what the Prophet did.
44:18 One said, "That is a sin, O' Rasulullah. Forgive me.
44:21 I will fast for a long time."
44:25 The other said, "I will not sleep. I will worship all the time."
44:29 The third said, "I will not get married."
44:32 So the Prophet's wife knew.
44:33 The Prophet said, "I am the one who fears Allah the most.
44:36 I will get married, I will fast, I will break my fast, and I will sleep at night."
44:40 Then the Prophet said, "Whoever does not follow my way, he is not a believer."
44:43 The following verse was revealed.
44:45 Allah said, "O' you who believe, do not forbid..."
44:47 Don't be extreme.
44:48 Don't be like the People of the Book.
44:50 Don't forbid the good things.
44:52 Allah said, "Eat, drink, and do what is lawful and good."
44:56 When this verse was revealed, the three companions said,
44:59 "O' Rasulullah, we swear by the name of Allah.
45:03 I swear by the name of Allah that I will not get married.
45:06 I will not sleep at night. I will fast all the time."
45:09 So how do we get our oath back?
45:13 Then Allah said in verse 89,
45:15 "You will not be judged by the oath you say in vain.
45:19 But you will be judged by the oath you swear by with all your heart and soul."
45:24 So whoever swears,
45:26 the way to cancel the oath or to remove the sin of breaking the oath,
45:31 is by doing the things mentioned in verse 89.
45:35 That is the connection.
45:36 There must be an explanation so that it is more understandable.
45:38 So from the beginning, we discussed in verse 77,
45:41 don't be too extreme.
45:43 So the reason why the Jews and the Christians are too extreme,
45:47 is because they are good at forbidding things that are not lawful
45:51 and making things that are not lawful lawful.
45:54 And apparently, the companions were a bit wrong.
45:59 Because they remember that there are many sins,
46:01 they only fast all their lives,
46:03 or they worship all night,
46:05 they don't sleep at all.
46:07 But apparently, there is something.
46:09 So if we look at verse 78,
46:12 religion cannot be judged.
46:13 It must be guided.
46:14 Even though we think it's okay,
46:16 not getting married, not sleeping, fasting all the time,
46:19 but it's not allowed because religion is not based on our taste,
46:23 but based on guidance.
46:24 That's why Allah did not want to judge.
46:25 And actually, the mistake of the companions is a common thing
46:28 because they are in the process of learning.
46:30 As long as this verse is revealed,
46:32 they are always judged by Allah,
46:34 and it becomes a lesson for us today.
46:36 So the mistake is part of the lesson.
46:40 It's important.
46:41 How the beginning of Surah Al-Baqarah,
46:43 the incident of Prophet Adam,
46:45 he was wrong and repented,
46:47 as a chance, a hope for all of us.
46:50 If not, we will read the Quran and feel that it's the best.
46:55 And feel that it's not wrong yet.
46:58 And we will be very stressed out
47:00 and feel that we are not worthy to be human.
47:02 We should not live because we made a mistake.
47:04 Apparently, there is a hope that Allah has provided
47:07 and we learn a lot and get benefits from those
47:11 who have received the Quran with Rasulullah SAW.
47:15 We pray to Allah SWT
47:16 that this Quran is the guidance of our lives
47:20 and we accept that we want to be good,
47:23 but we also have mistakes
47:25 that do not destroy that hope for ourselves,
47:29 for the family, for the community
47:30 by reading the verse from Allah SWT.
47:34 Finally, we pray with Al-Fadhil Faisal Abdullah Wakhal.

49:43 Assalamualaikum.
49:44 Assalamualaikum.
49:45 This ayat 87 is about
49:47 not to forbid good things,
49:49 what is halal by Allah.
49:51 Halal is not just a piece of cake.
49:53 But halal is a lot of things
49:56 that Allah allows us to eat,
49:59 to sleep,
50:02 that is also halal.
50:03 So, don't forbid sleeping
50:06 because we feel that we have committed a lot of sins
50:08 and it has been rebuked by the companions.
50:11 I would like to thank Al-Fadhil Faisal Abdullah Bukhari
50:14 and also Al-Faisal Firnizi
50:16 and also everyone who is in the studio,
50:18 who is at home.
50:19 And we pray that we continue to be steadfast with the Quran.
50:23 InshaAllah, we will meet again in a new episode,
50:25 a new ayat from Suratul Ma'idah,
50:28 from My Quran Time,
50:30 Quran, Sonat, and Infa'ah.
