00:00 President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has signed the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, or NICA,
00:07 for the strengthening of the intelligence gathering and the security of the country.
00:13 Based on Executive Order No. 54, the President has already seen the need
00:20 to reorganize the agency to be able to cope with the changing challenges in national security.
00:27 It also aims to strengthen the coordination of various agencies inside and outside the country
00:34 and to prepare the intelligence and security assessment using the correct data
00:39 to be able to protect the national interest.
00:42 As part of the reorganization of NICA,
00:46 the Office of the Deputy Director General, or the ODDG,
00:52 is responsible for cyber and emerging threats that are planned and coordinated
00:58 by counterintelligence and countermeasures against cyber security threats,
01:04 weapons of mass destruction, and others.
01:08 The ODDG is led by the Deputy Director General of the President
01:15 and is counted by the Directorate for Counterintelligence and Security
01:19 and the Directorate for Cyber Intelligence and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction.
