(Adnkronos) - "Il paziente, affetto già da tempo da vasculopatia polidistrettuale, è stato ricoverato alle 3 del mattino di oggi per una sindrome coronarica acuta". Il direttore sanitario dell'Arnas Brotzu di Cagliari, Raimondo Pinna, racconta le ultime ore di vita di Gigi Riva. "È stato sottoposto a una coronarografia alle 10.30 di oggi che ha evidenziato una gravissima malattia coronarica". Dopo le valutazioni gli è stato proposto un intervento di angioplastica coronarica "che ha rifiutato". "Alle 17.50 ha avuto un arresto cardiaco, sono state immediatamente eseguite tutte le manovre rianimatorie cardiopolmonari - spiega il direttore sanitario del Brotzu -. Durante la manovra rianimatoria è stato portato in sala operatoria di Emodinamica per eseguire un tentativo di angioplastica coronarica, che purtroppo è risultato inefficace. Nonostante le manovre rianimatorie il decesso è avvenuto alle ore 19.10 del 22-1-2024".
