Oklahoma's Jennie Baranczyk and Skylar Vann talk after Oklahoma's win at Houston on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024.
Transcript
00:00 Coming into this game you talked about keeping up with the Cougars defense. How do you think your team handled that pressure?
00:05 Well, I think there were some things that we did really well and obviously I thought Houston did an incredible job of turning us over
00:12 Those are some things we're gonna have to clearly work on but you got hats off to Houston
00:17 With it being such a close game. What was the most important thing for you to see going into that fourth?
00:22 Well, I felt like us just having our composure. We needed to rebound the basketball
00:28 And they made a lot of plays. We needed to rebound a little bit better
00:31 I felt like our offense got a little stagnant, but I think when we needed to make plays we made some plays
00:36 So I thought that was pretty impressive for us. That's a lot of what we're working on right now
00:39 Thank you coach leading score tonight 21 points. What's that got about your performance tonight?
00:44 I mean, I just think me and my teammates we just put each other in really good positions and situations
00:50 I mean, I mean, yeah, I did have 21 points, but I'm pretty sure most of those were from assists
00:55 So people just give me the ball when I need it and like when I can score just go up
00:59 How did you manage to keep up the momentum that whole game? I mean coming in today, you know when you're coming from like an away
01:05 Jim you're down 10 points. That's what Jenny was saying
01:08 So I think really being connected especially when times are getting a little rough and Houston going on runs
01:12 That's when connection is the most important and we have that. Thank you guys
