Teacher claims trial to outraging modesty of pupil in Melaka school

A 42-year-old male teacher pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court in Alor Gajah, Melaka on Friday (Jan 19) to an offence of outraging the modesty of his 11-year-old female pupil during lessons in a classroom in May last year.

00:36 The charge was framed under Section 14, Subsection A of the Sexual Offences Against Children
00:43 Act 2017, which carries a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping upon conviction.
