Buccaneers Defeat Eagles 32-9, Advance to Divisional Round

00:36 putting a whopping on the birds

00:41 just one game in the National
00:43 Football League playoffs. The
00:45 Bucks are on to the division
00:46 around and a road trip to the
00:48 Motor City awaits next Sunday.
00:50 Yeah, which actually I think
00:52 you like might end up being a
00:54 pretty good game between the
00:55 Lions and the Buccaneers, you
00:58 know, I just I maybe maybe I'm
00:59 the last one left in the United
01:01 States to not be sold on the
01:02 Lions. I did pick the Rams in
01:04 that game. I bet on them with
01:06 the points. I actually did kind
01:08 of expect the Rams to win that
01:10 game. But the Buccaneers are
01:12 sort of fascinating because they
01:14 definitely have had some real
01:15 highs and Baker Mayfield was
01:16 coming into that game injured,
01:18 you know, kind of in a similar
01:19 way to the Philadelphia Eagles.
01:21 I thought there was a chance
01:22 that he just was not able to get
01:24 through but they had some real
01:25 lows to their season for
01:27 routine. That is now in the
01:28 divisional round, you know,
01:29 they lost to the Falcons. They
01:31 lost to the Indianapolis Colts.
01:33 They lost to the Saints. They
01:35 lost actually all the way back
01:37 and week three got just
01:38 absolutely smoked by the Eagles.
01:40 I guess the the big thing for
01:43 them was one. They actually did
01:45 have a lot of success running
01:47 the ball in the back half of the
01:48 season when the Eagles stopped
01:50 being able to run the ball
01:51 entirely and Mayfield really I
01:55 really for the first time in his
01:57 career, I guess 2020. He was
01:58 quite good in 2020, but just
02:00 really limited the turnovers
02:02 that had been Baker's problem
02:03 and a lot of these big spots
02:04 before had been the
02:06 interceptions. He gets through
02:07 clean obviously against the
02:09 Eagles, but only 10
02:10 interceptions for the entire
02:12 season and the best second best
02:14 year of his career in yards per
02:16 attempt. I Baker is obviously
02:18 going to get the Gino Smith
02:20 contract from the the
02:22 Buccaneers this offseason, but I
02:24 think it's said a one year. I
02:25 think he's going to get a lot of
02:27 I don't know what five years
02:29 four years maybe but like
02:31 $32 million per year. I mean
02:33 it's going to be a I don't know
02:34 how much they're going to love
02:35 that contract, but he is
02:36 definitely going to get it.
