00:00The debut of the Mike Elko era tonight in College Station for
00:07Texas A&M and another top 20 tilt on this first full
00:11Saturday. Enter seventh-ranked Notre Dame and year three under
00:14Marcus Freeman as well. Coach Bowden, a short number here,
00:18less than a field goal as well. In favor of A&M, what do you
00:22expect tonight at Kyle Field? Yeah, I think Texas A&M will
00:26win by a field goal. This, like the Swamp, is one of the
00:29toughest places to play in the country and Mike Elko, I think
00:33has done a great job. You look at the job he did at Duke,
00:36having the number one scoring defense in the ACC at Duke and
00:40the talent that they had. Now, he comes over to Texas A&M and
00:45as the leader of that team, he'll play great
00:48defense and Notre Dame has a weak offensive line. It's not
00:51as strong as the strong defensive front at Texas A&M
00:55and I think Texas A&M will dominate. I think both teams
00:57will run the football, but I think Texas A&M will come out
01:00on top because of the strength of their team. Jimbo Fisher
01:02left them a lot of talent now. They did not win at the end, but
01:05he left them a lot of talent and I think Mike Elko, like
01:09Kirby Smart, like Nick Saban, he's a defensive head coach and
01:12I think when it comes to building championship programs
01:14and turning programs around, I think that defensive head coach
01:18is the way to go in the future. Coach, how important is it that
01:21Elko understands the weaknesses and strengths of his former
01:25quarterback, Riley Leonard? Well, that's another great
01:29point, Joe, because I know it's a factor. Leonard was at Duke
01:32and Elko, every day in practice, he watched his
01:35mannerisms. He watched his tendencies. He watched where he
01:38liked to throw the football, what he liked to dump off, all
01:40the things that he did. That's a huge advantage for him and
01:44that's why another reason why I think in a close ball game, a
01:47field goal difference, I think Texas A&M wins this game. Two
01:50years at Duke for Mike Elko with his quarterback being
01:54Riley Leonard for the majority of it. A 16-9 record in Durham.
01:58He now takes that to College Station, his debut tonight.
