Eagles' Collapse: NFC East Loss Exposes Coaching Issues

00:00 I know one of the biggest stories, one of those divisions,
00:02 is the Eagles, amazingly, still have not won the NFC East.
00:06 And now, Adam, it looks like they're not
00:08 going to win the NFC East as long as Dallas wins on Sunday.
00:12 Yeah, that's right.
00:13 If the Eagles win and Dallas loses somehow
00:15 to the Commanders, yeah, the Eagles would win it.
00:17 In fact, the Eagles have an outside shot, the number two
00:18 seed, of somehow the Lions lose this week.
00:22 But look, the bottom line is, this has been an implosion.
00:26 This has been, as one source said to me,
00:28 looking at the Eagles' tape recently,
00:30 this has been, and just what is happening here,
00:33 just basically a collapse.

00:37 we've gotten on the Eagles' collapse here,
00:39 losing four out of five.
00:40 As you mentioned earlier, they were 10 and one.
00:43 It's hard to understand, because if you look at it,
00:45 yes, they had the toughest middle of the schedule
00:48 of any NFL team.
00:49 We called it the gauntlet of six games.
00:51 But they finish giants, Cardinals, Giants.
00:55 You would think they would easily go 3-0.
00:57 That's not the case.
00:58 Yeah, they beat the Giants, didn't look great.
01:00 And they got embarrassed at home against the Cardinals
01:02 last week, where the Cardinals, Mike, did not punt,
01:05 never punted.
01:07 As one person said to me close to the Eagles,
01:10 this reminded them of the Eagles-Cardinals games
01:12 in the mid to early '90s, when the Eagles were really good,
01:14 Cardinals were really bad.
01:15 And by the way, they were actually in the NFC East then.
01:19 And somehow the Eagles would come up short
01:21 and play down to the opponent.
01:22 And that's what's happened here.
01:23 And it's not just one side of the football.
01:26 It's both.
01:27 Yes, Jalen Hurts has not played as well this season.
01:29 He's definitely dropped off.
01:31 But the defense is so bad right now.
01:33 They have the NFL's best run defense for seven weeks,
01:36 one of the worst in the national football league,
01:38 probably the worst in the last five weeks.
01:40 This is a monster collapse.
