00:00 >> What's this year been like for you, this experience of,
00:02 you guys have played quite a bit this season as a true freshman?
00:06 >> It's been crazy, it's been a fun year though, kind of trying to learn,
00:09 kind of trying to just like, used to the college schedule really is probably
00:12 the biggest change from high school to college.
00:14 But it's been a fun season, really fun playing with older guys and
00:17 kind of learn a lot from them.
00:19 >> What are some of those things that you've learned throughout the season from
00:22 the older guys?
00:23 >> I think probably the biggest thing is coming to work every day hard,
00:26 cuz I feel like in high school, it's not as long of a season,
00:29 not as long of practices, but kind of like staying level and just like,
00:33 coming hard to work every day and just playing hard every day and
00:35 just trying to have fun with it.
00:37 Cuz it gets kind of like monotonous, kind of like every day, just same workouts,
00:40 practices, meetings, but it's trying to like have fun in it and
00:43 have fun in the process.
00:44 >> What do you think your game improved the most this past year?
00:47 >> I think probably just recognizing stuff, cuz I think at the end of the season,
00:52 I was just kind of throwing out there and trying to learn on the fly.
00:55 But probably recognizing how people are trying to block me and
00:57 things like that is probably the biggest thing I learned this season.
01:00 >> How much has it helped having Mateo and Tatum, a couple other freshmen,
01:03 are playing kind of similar spots?
01:04 Did you kind of go through this the first time together?
01:08 >> It's definitely good having them to kind of talk to a lot,
01:11 cuz we're all kind of going through the same thing, like you said.
01:13 Like having somebody to kind of bounce ideas off of, learn from them, and
01:16 see their mistakes, and I can kind of try to fix them and
01:18 sort of make the same mistake as them.
01:20 But it's definitely been good having other people to talk to,
01:23 cuz everybody's not in the same position as me.
01:24 But having them kind of doing the same stuff definitely makes it way easier.
