00:00 How's it going everybody? Randall Sweet, AllSooners.com, here to talk more about OU's 2024 recruiting
00:06 class. I'm going to talk about KJ Daniels, a three-star wide receiver out of Franklinton,
00:12 Louisiana. Now, again, coming from Franklinton High School in Franklinton, Louisiana, Kelly
00:17 Daniels is a three-star recruit. He's listed at about 5'9", 5'10", 150, 160 pounds, so
00:26 much lighter frame. Some work in the strength and conditioning staff with Jerry Schmidt,
00:31 those guys will really do him well, especially going against the bigger SEC defensive backs.
00:36 But right now, KJ Daniels really has, he's really the mold of a smaller Emmett Jones
00:41 slot receiver, or really just a versatile Emmett Jones receiver. Those smaller guys
00:46 who can kind of have the speed to play on the outside but are much better in the slot
00:50 just because of their size. He can really stretch the field with his speed, but he can
00:54 also move laterally very quickly, which again makes him a good slot receiver there. And
00:59 I think more in the mold of a Jaquez Padaway, who OU brought in last year, who again is
01:04 not the biggest wide out, but he's very fast. He is kind of versatile enough to stretch
01:09 the field deep, but can also run some of those short routes, be a possession receiver like
01:13 we saw at times this year with Padaway. I think that Kelly Daniels has a lot of that
01:16 as well. Again, very fast, quick-changing lateral movement, a guy who would probably
01:22 get some work on special teams too, given his skill set, given the speed. But another
01:26 good wide receiver for Emmett Jones and company in this 2024 class, Michael Hawkins, Brendan
01:32 Zurbrug, they're going to have a litter of guys to choose from when they're giving
01:35 the ball to some of these other freshmen in the practice field.
