00:00 Is that kind of the moment set tonight?
00:02 >> I mean, we know it was on the line, but I mean, this is what we've done all year.
00:05 I think that's a feeling, this attack, keep attacking, keep being who we are.
00:08 And it's a testament to the work that we've put in.
00:11 We just continue to grow.
00:13 We continue to grow as a brotherhood, we continue to grow as a team.
00:16 And I think tonight shows who we were.
00:18 >> You know, for the defense to really put this game on their back in key moments,
00:21 of course, Brock getting his first ever start.
00:24 Just what does that say about how this team picks each other up?
00:27 >> I think he just explained it.
00:28 I mean, I think it's awesome.
00:29 We knew the situation, but we never folded.
00:31 We welcome adversity on this team.
00:33 That's something that Coach Norville preaches.
00:35 And this attack, we just keep getting after it.
00:38 And I couldn't be more proud of the guys and the effort that was put out tonight.
00:42 It took everybody, from staff to players, to everybody involved.
00:47 It took everybody.
00:48 >> Do you think this game could have been played better if it was a playoff?
00:52 >> I don't see why not.
00:53 >> Zero in a loss call.
00:56 >> What else can you ask for?
00:57 We can't control who we play.
00:58 We can't control any other scenarios.
01:00 13-0, 13-0.
01:02 I'll let that take for itself.
01:03 >> You were getting a little bit emotional a little bit after the game.
01:08 What has this year at FSU been?
01:10 >> It's been huge.
01:11 I think where I was just a year ago, I was in a transfer portal,
01:16 kinda unsure of the situation I was gonna be in.
01:18 I had shoulder surgery.
01:20 Just to be here in this moment, to have a game like that, in that situation,
01:23 I mean, just everything kinda hit me at once.
01:26 I saw something like this.
01:29 Being able to make an impact on this team is something I wanna do for
01:33 the day I stepped on campus and finally happened in this moment.
01:37 It's been a huge thing.
01:38 >> One year later.
01:40 >> Well, the Rubyville team has scored quite a bit of points and everything.
01:43 And you guys were able to get to no touchdowns.
01:46 So just talk about how important that was at the level of intensity
01:51 that your defense put in it.
01:52 >> Yeah, I kinda spoke on it earlier.
01:54 That's just who we are.
01:55 We know we understand who we are.
01:58 It's every step of the way, the work that we put in, it's starting to show.
02:02 We keep growing, we keep getting better.
02:04 We knew the circumstance tonight.
02:05 We understood that our offense was probably good off this line.
02:09 If a new quarterback had to get his feet wet, I thought if the game went on,
02:12 he got better, and it gave us more confidence.
02:14 So yeah, I thought it was great.
02:16 >> Brady.
02:17 >> You spoke to making an impact on this team.
02:19 I'd say three sacks for career pains is an impact.
02:22 Can you speak to that and what that third sack felt like after the release of emotion?
02:27 >> Yeah, being consistent.
02:30 I didn't have a sack until week eight this year.
02:33 And I don't know where it is now, but just being able to consistently get after it,
02:38 just trust the process, trust what the coach is having to do for you.
02:41 The work that you put in to show up every day and
02:43 with your opportunity happening, I think it's very special.
02:47 It's hard to even- >> And what's it like playing for
02:49 a coach like Coach Holden?
02:50 >> It's awesome.
02:52 Look at the defense we play.
02:52 I think he had a vision for what the team that we were building and
02:57 what he has put together, who we are out there.
03:00 >> Brady, Brady, Brady.
03:01 >> It's really special.
03:04 I couldn't be more thankful to be a part of this.
03:07 >> Cutting the sod tonight, just how special of a moment was that,
03:10 knowing that that win is gonna be buried at Florida State forever?
03:13 >> Yeah, I think it goes back to how I can make an impact and
03:17 finally the impact I made just so happened to be in the ACC Championship.
03:21 It's just surreal.
03:23 It is, it's awesome to be a part of it.
03:26 I just could not be more thankful.
03:27 I cannot say no.
03:29 >> Is that the best team you've ever played against?
03:33 >> Yeah, I put it up there.
03:35 Yeah, we'll go with that, probably the best.
03:37 >> Well, once again, you know how good that line is.
03:39 It seems like everyone that I've contributed in a major way to that play.
03:42 >> For sure.
03:43 It took everybody.
03:44 I thought we were getting after it from the first snap.
03:47 When we came to the sideline, I was like, all right, come on, let's get after this.
03:50 >> What do you mean by that?
03:51 [INAUDIBLE]
03:56 >> It's pretty cool.
03:57 It's got a nice ring to it.
03:58 [LAUGH] It's awesome.
04:01 It's a very great team.
04:02 >> Great.
04:03 What's it like now to be a part of this?
04:07 I've seen you streak it 19 and out, and you're getting it in the top 12.
04:11 >> When Coach Norvell was recruiting me, and I saw the opportunity to come here and
04:15 be a part of something so special, everything that he told me during
04:19 the recruiting process was so different compared to anybody else.
04:22 I trusted him.
04:23 I believed in what he had to say.
04:25 He had to trust me, and I think the relationship's worked out pretty well so
04:28 far, and we gotta keep it rolling.
04:30 >> I know you and Jared like talking about sacks a lot as well.
04:32 What was the conversation like tonight between you two?
04:36 >> The first one I had, he tried to take out for me.
04:38 >> [LAUGH] >> But no, it's a credit to him for
04:41 the two sacks that I got at the end there.
04:42 I mean, he's the one that set it up for me.
04:45 We talk on the side of it all the time, but what we're seeing and
04:48 how we can make an impact.
04:49 We may joke around a lot, but we do.
04:52 We really study this game, watch film together, and
04:53 make sure we go out there and can have the biggest impact we can.
