00:00 So yeah, we are at Goodison Park, finished Everton 3, Newcastle United 0.
00:05 Yeah, that was a bit of a shocker in the closing stages there.
00:10 78 minutes, Everton broke the deadlock and scored two more goals after that.
00:15 But it all came from a Kieran Trippier mistake, or Kieran Trippier mistakes,
00:21 because not only was he at fault for the opener by Dwight McNeil,
00:25 he was also at fault for Abdoulaye Decoray's second goal, and also at fault for Beto's third goal in injury time.
00:33 The first one, just behind me there, goes through a little flick on the far side, loses the ball,
00:39 Dwight McNeil takes the ball forward, drives it to the back of the net,
00:43 then tries to play a pass again, down that side there.
00:47 Pass is cut out, Dwight McNeil drives forward again, puts the ball in the box,
00:51 and Decoray makes it 2-0.
00:55 And the third mistake as well, Beto played onside, VAR had to check it,
00:59 but Trippier was the man that played Beto onside,
01:03 and yeah, just like that, Newcastle have suffered a 3-0 defeat.
01:07 They are the second heaviest of the season after that Brighton game.
01:12 Rather than look like I'm hammering Kieran Trippier, I'm just purely reacting to the game,
01:18 the result, his performance. I'm not saying anything about what he's done for this football club,
01:22 because what he has done for this football club during the time he joined is quite remarkable.
01:27 He's a real catalyst and coincided with Newcastle's success since he signed.
01:31 So I want to make that clear, I'm not hammering Kieran Trippier,
01:34 but I'm just judging what he's done today, and yeah, a really uncharacteristic display from him.
01:41 He's probably never done that, he's grabbed in a fault for three goals and probably never will do it again.
01:46 But yeah, collectively, Newcastle just weren't at the races today.
01:50 Yeah, they had a little spell at the start of the second half, but it never really felt like they were in the game.
01:56 They did have chances, admittedly, but in terms of breaking everything down, it was quite limited.
02:00 They were very, very compact, and Newcastle struggled to get in behind their back line.
02:06 But ultimately, the away day struggles continue.
02:09 It's only one Premier League win on the road this season.
02:12 Next up, an away day at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, so Newcastle have to put a lot right between now and then
02:17 to try and get a result at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
