00:15 Our Wangkang Festival will be held on the 1st January to 11th January 2024
00:25 in conjunction with our visit Melaka year 2024.
00:30 The highlight of the whole festival will be on the 11th January whereby we will have the grand procession of our Wangkang Bajj.
00:41 This grand procession will start from 8.30 in front of a temple, going through the whole Jalan Parameswara,
00:51 then turn into Bukit Sejuang and then Jalan Laksamana Ceng Ho, Jalan Munci Abdullah,
00:58 before we cross our river to Jalan Hang Tua and then we will reach Jalan Gajah Berang.
01:06 We will go through the old town, that is Jalan Kampung Hulu and Jalan Kampung Pantai,
01:12 then we will go through Jalan Laksamana and then Jalan Kota in front of our A.F.Amoza before coming back to our temple in Jalan Parameswara.
01:25 So we will have a total of 22 stops.
01:30 The idea or the significance of this ceremony is actually to invite all the wandering souls,
01:37 or we call them our Ho Hiati, to come up on Wangkang Bajj and to serve as a navy to our goddess Ongya.
01:51 This whole procession will be almost 9km long and we anticipate that it will be concluded within 5 hours.
02:02 And at night, beginning 7 o'clock, we will be taking the second route, that is the Wangkang Sendoff Route,
02:13 whereby the whole route will be about 2km, so we hope our Malacca people as well as Malaysian public can also seize this opportunity to be with us.
02:23 Bless.
