00:00 Hi, I'm Pat Egan, Regional Officer for the United Union. We're here in the street at
00:17 Alexander's Venice Limited for the next few weeks. There's rage talks going on since April,
00:23 we're no further forward and the guys are just very, very angry. So they're wanting
00:28 something done. It's a cut in real terms and the guys have decided to take action and they're
00:34 on up to Christmas. It's a big sacrifice that these people are making and United stand by
00:39 them throughout. And this is a salary and wage negotiations for '23 and '24? It was
00:46 for '23 and back to April. As I say, it should have been sorted long before now, but the
00:51 same last year, it went away in October and the company just shouldn't be dragging their
00:55 heels on it. If you want your heels done quick, sorted, then get a happy workforce going in
01:00 there. And is there communication with the company? Not at the minute.
01:22 Dom Pritchard, GMB full-time official. And Dom, what are the objectives for GMB today?
01:28 The objectives for GMB and their members today is to try and force the company into giving
01:34 their members a decent pay rise. And leading up to Christmas, that's not a good time of
01:40 year to be losing out on wages. It's a very big sacrifice their members are taking and
01:45 it's one that they don't take lightly. And what are you calling on the company to do?
01:50 I'm calling on the company to get back round the table and improve their pay offer.
