00:00 It's stage four breast cancer that spread into my bones.
00:04 Shannon Doherty shares a heartbreaking health update
00:07 with fans.
00:09 Sharing my story and being so sort of open and honest,
00:13 it helped me.
00:14 I'm very blessed.
00:15 The Beverly Hills 90210 alum reveals to people
00:19 that her eight year battle with cancer has progressed,
00:22 spreading to her bones, but she's not giving up the fight.
00:26 We're on a really good regimen now
00:28 and it's working well for me.
00:33 So day by day, month by month, year by year.
00:37 Shannon's health battle began in 2015
00:40 when she revealed her breast cancer diagnosis.
00:43 I'm doing well, I think, for the most part.
00:45 You know, there's good days and there's bad days.
00:48 In 2017, she announced that she was in remission.
00:51 Then in 2019, she shared that she had metastatic stage four
00:55 cancer, meaning the cancer spread from her breast
00:58 to another part of her body.
01:00 Everybody's terminal.
01:02 I might live a lot longer than somebody
01:04 who's perfectly healthy.
01:05 You have no idea.
01:07 In June, the actress confirmed the cancer spread to her brain
01:10 and she underwent a procedure to remove the tumor.
01:15 Look, that's the hard part, Shannon.
01:17 So now we're going to get going, OK?
01:19 Now Shannon hopes to become a part of clinical trials
01:22 and isn't letting anything get in the way of raising
01:25 awareness or working.
01:27 People don't know a lot about cancer.
01:28 I think they just sort of assume that it means, you know,
01:33 you can't walk, you can't eat, you can't work.
01:36 People put you out to pasture at a very early age.
01:39 You're like done, you're retired.
01:41 And we're not.
01:44 Like, we're vibrant and we have such a different outlook
01:50 on life.
01:51 We're just so grateful for every second, every hour, every day
01:55 that we get to be here.
01:57 And all that echoes what she told ET back in 2021.
02:02 Work is so important to me.
02:03 And especially as somebody with cancer,
02:08 you want to constantly put it out there
02:10 that you're still hireable, you're still employable.
02:13 And oftentimes for people like myself,
02:17 it's the work that helps drive us.
02:22 It's the work that--
02:24 like I wake up in the morning so excited to go create and do
02:28 my job, which is a job that I actually love.
02:31 Now Shannon is giving the world a closer look
02:34 at the ups and downs of her life with her new memoir style
02:36 podcast, Let's Be Clear, which she promises
02:40 will drive home one of her biggest life lessons.
02:43 It doesn't matter how many times you fall,
02:45 it's about how you get back up.
02:47 I'm not done with living.
02:49 I'm not done with loving.
02:50 I'm not done with creating.
02:51 I'm not done with hopefully changing things for the better.
02:57 I'm just not-- I'm not done.
