00:00 - Good evening, good evening.
00:02 You know, obviously tough loss tonight.
00:04 I thought the crowd, starting with the fans, man,
00:06 that the environment out there was electric
00:09 and it was fun to be out there,
00:10 wish we could have came up with the win for the fans,
00:13 for the guys, you know, in the locker room.
00:16 Defense did a great job again,
00:17 giving the offense a chance, you know,
00:19 we got to take care of the football.
00:20 We said it last week and we'll say it again this week.
00:23 And we didn't make enough plays to win.
00:24 We had a chance at the end, you know,
00:26 again, the ball in our hands
00:28 with a chance to get a first down,
00:30 to really seal the deal at the end of the game,
00:32 despite everything that happened throughout the game.
00:35 So yeah, it was a tough one.
00:36 Give it up to the Bears for, you know,
00:39 make enough plays to win the ball game in the end.
00:41 And obviously by week where guys can get rested,
00:44 rejuvenated and we'll be back, we'll be back.
00:47 We'll look at the film, you know, I'll be better.
00:49 And especially in the situations
00:51 and making sure that we're not playing a defense
00:53 on short fields and we're taking care of the ball
00:55 on offense because it starts with me
00:57 and we'll hit the ground running
00:58 when we get back from the bye.
00:59 Open up for questions.
01:01 - Josh, what do you feel like Chicago's defense did
01:04 to keep you guys kind of out of rhythm throughout the night?
01:07 - Yeah, you know, I thought early in the game,
01:08 their offense did a good job converting on third downs,
01:11 keeping us off the field.
01:12 You know, I think we had three plays in the first quarter
01:16 and our first sustained drive was halfway
01:18 through the second quarter.
01:19 So we weren't able to get in a rhythm early,
01:22 like we like to do.
01:23 And then from there, man, it was like we had opportunities.
01:26 We didn't execute.
01:28 They did a good job at some catch points
01:29 and getting the ball in the air
01:31 and taking advantage of some of those ops.
01:34 And so for us, man, it's be clean, catch and throw,
01:37 despite whatever's going on the other side of the ball,
01:39 we can get the ball on offense, man, go out and execute,
01:42 do what we can do.
01:43 And we do that, like we'll score more than 10 points,
01:47 especially with our defense playing the way that we do.
01:49 And we'll be good to go and put ourselves
01:52 in better positions to win in the end of the game.
01:54 - Obviously every play is different,
01:55 but how do you kind of absorb
01:56 the totality of four interceptions?
01:59 - Yeah, you know, I don't, you know,
02:01 what is frustrating, like I see it,
02:04 because I know as we talked about throughout the week,
02:07 we talked about coming off last week on the road to Denver,
02:09 that turnovers, you know, really control the game.
02:14 And so it starts with me and taking care of the football
02:17 with my decision-making,
02:18 no matter what happens on the other end,
02:20 it's, you know, giving the receiver a good ball
02:22 and throwing, getting the ball to where it needs to go
02:25 based on the coverage.
02:26 So I acknowledge it, man.
02:28 I'm frustrated with myself because it starts with me,
02:29 as I said, and I'll be better from it.
02:32 I'll learn from every single one of them tonight
02:34 and we'll use it to build momentum
02:38 into the next opportunity.
