00:00 I talked earlier in the season about the importance of deep throws,
00:03 certain accuracy, last five, six games.
00:06 Your deep throws have been on point, the touchdown that you had to Troy at ASU and
00:10 that really tight window.
00:12 You're making some really elite throws right now.
00:15 What's been different the last five, six games in that way?
00:17 >> Well, I think the preparation's been really good.
00:19 I think we've been practicing at a high level.
00:21 And then I just think I've hit a really good rhythm at the right time.
00:24 And all year we've been putting together something and
00:29 we've been trying to be really accurate and really efficient with all of our throws.
00:33 And when they're open, hitting them and
00:34 I feel like we've done a really good job of that here lately.
00:37 >> A lot of these guys said they've thought about that loss last time every
00:40 single week.
00:40 Is that the same for you?
00:42 >> Yeah, that the lost column, that one next to it.
00:48 It's been with us all year and I think it's really turned our season around.
00:50 I think we've responded really well because of it.
00:52 >> I feel like you guys are playing your best football offense to defense.
00:57 >> Yeah, I do.
00:58 I think we've hit our stride.
00:59 I think we're playing really good.
01:01 I think we're playing really well together.
01:03 I think we've put together a rhythm and
01:05 I think we have just gotten a lot better as the year's gone on.
01:09 And week by week we've been making improvements and
01:12 we've put ourselves in a good position.
01:15 >> You personally, what areas from the first Washington game are you looking to
01:18 improve on?
01:18 Are there certain aspects that you feel like maybe you could have performed better?
01:21 >> Yeah, I just think the whole, I think,
01:27 operation as far as making explosive plays and
01:30 staying on the field on fourth downs and just getting those moments and
01:34 making the most of them.
01:36 When they're the big situational moments,
01:39 I think that's where ultimately we lost last time.
01:42 And I think we have been more prepared now.
01:47 I think the season's allowed us to play good situational football at the end.
01:50 And I think we're ready to regroup and go out there and
01:54 play again and not put ourselves in those situations.
01:58 >> Can you talk about the situation in particular?
02:00 You don't have to say what it is, but how much different or
02:03 how much more is there available to you guys now in some of those spots,
02:07 play-wise, scheme-wise, than maybe six weeks ago?
02:09 >> Well, I just think we found ultimately what we're good at and
02:13 we're kinda in stride with that.
02:15 We're in tune with that.
02:16 Coach Stein is putting us in a really good spot to succeed and
02:20 he's calling the right plays at the right time.
02:22 And unfortunately, the first game we just missed a few opportunities and
02:27 it comes down to really just a few plays.
02:29 And I think that in these kind of games,
02:32 that's usually what it comes down to is just a few plays.
02:35 >> This second half of the season, Tez has had just an unbelievable year.
02:39 Just what do you feel like has allowed that to happen?
02:41 What is he doing differently?
02:42 What are you seeing within the hitters, right?
02:44 >> Well, I think he practices extremely hard, as well as Troy and
02:48 those other guys.
02:49 And when you practice hard, when you work hard,
02:51 I think good things happen and the ball just naturally finds you.
02:54 And I think also we've gotten really good situations and
02:59 gotten match-ups and been able to exploit those.
03:02 And he's just really come on as the year's gone on.
03:06 He's really become a very good one B to Troy.
03:13 I think he's been available and he's been at practice,
03:19 he's been available in all the games.
03:21 And when you play as much as those guys have, the ball finds you and
03:26 they just get open, they have a knack for getting open.
03:28 And I think he's just doing a really good job of that right now.
