00:00 John, as you know, Jameson Williams have been steadily improving the last two
00:03 weeks for the Detroit Lions. What do you make of that being the case for the
00:06 second year wide out? Yeah, being a real good effort by Jameson Williams
00:11 since his return. I think that when you look at it, the Lions coaching staff is
00:16 frankly said it just needed time on task. He needed more opportunities to
00:19 practice. I think the game that he had against the Chargers where he showcased
00:24 that awesome block for David Montgomery, I think really showcased
00:29 what he's about a selfless player that is all about winning. Every time the
00:34 media has tried to ask about individual goals, he harkens back to and reflects
00:39 on the team winning, indicating that, you know, he's a team guy first. And
00:43 yeah, I do think that he is aware that people are paying attention to his
00:47 statistical numbers still less than 160 yards receiving on the season, but
00:52 against the Bears had an impactful touchdown. I think that when Dan
00:57 Campbell said, Look, Jameson is now part of the herd. He's one of the guys.
01:01 He's respected. He's putting in the work. He's working hard. Jameson
01:04 himself seems like he's steadily maturing, understanding that he's
01:08 important for this offense in a game where the Lions needed a quick score.
01:13 They went to Jameson Williams and they target him. Dan Campbell said there is
01:16 more options for him to be part of the offense in the screen game and
01:20 intermediate passes and things like that. So for a player like Jameson
01:24 Williams, who I think maybe had really high expectations early in his career,
01:29 I think right now he's understanding that he's part of a team winning team
01:33 and that while the targets may not be there being the primary or secondary
01:37 target when he works hard, he'll find opportunities to be that deep threat
01:43 and find opportunities to help out the likes of Aman Ra Saint Brown, the
01:47 running backs and Sam Laporta. He understands that. Oh, if I go deeper in
01:51 these routes, that opens things up because I draw attention based on the
01:55 threat of me going deep. So he understands that he's valuable. He's
01:59 working hard and not only is he doing great work on the field, but away from
02:02 the field as well, doing good work in the community in Metro Detroit. So all
02:07 in all, Vito. Now, if we can start to see Jameson Williams secure more
02:11 touchdowns in a game that will bode well for the Lions. I think you're
02:14 starting to see what Brad Holmes and the front office really liked about
02:19 this young white out.
02:20 John, thanks for all the time.
