00:00 Good morning everyone, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Wednesday November the 22nd.
00:05 Just bringing you some headlines today. We have a story that we put out late yesterday afternoon
00:12 following the huge funeral of Jason Gaskin, better known as Big Red. There were hundreds and hundreds
00:19 of mourners, they came from all over the UK apparently, to say their final farewells to the
00:25 gentleman who was unfortunately murdered in Balby in the early hours of the morning earlier this
00:33 year. We have lots of pictures from that funeral and the mourners, so if you'd like to take a look
00:41 at that. It has been very, very popular in the last 12 hours, we've had lots of people visiting
00:46 that and taking a look at the cortage. On a better note, we have a piece that a Doncaster Fish and
00:55 Chip Shop has been doing its bit for the homeless. They sent out 50 portions of sausage, gravy and
01:03 chips to the homeless in the city, which is a fantastic gesture, so you can read all about that
01:09 this morning. Also, and another story about a fish and chip shop, one that's just down the road from
01:14 Doncaster has been shortlisted in the awards for the best newcomers in the fish and chip trade,
01:21 so you can find out about that and if you fancy going along and trying them out.
01:25 So for all those three stories, for anything else that's happening in Doncaster today,
01:30 you can obviously visit the website which is www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk
01:34 or Facebook or X. I hope you have a lovely day.
