00:00 G'day, I'm Paul. Today we're checking out this thing right here. It is called the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV.
00:05 It is the SUV version of the recently released EQE sedan, and being an all-electric vehicle,
00:11 this is where Mercedes-Benz is heading in the future with both its design and also the intentions on the EV platforms.
00:17 We're going to be checking out this one here, plus in addition to this, the AMG version of this car,
00:22 which I think will excite a lot of people because they've been after
00:25 something quick in the electric space from Mercedes-Benz.
00:28 Now, if you do want to skip ahead to other parts of this video,
00:30 you can use the time codes on the screen, or if you're on YouTube,
00:33 you can scroll down and use the chapters below.
00:35 And if you haven't done so already, subscribe to our channel and press the bell icon as well.
00:39 That way you'll find out every single time we get a sneak preview of something like this.
00:43 Now let's talk about the design. So this looks kind of familiar.
00:48 It's a similar design to the EQS, but it is smaller than the EQS.
00:51 And if you have a think about the dimensions, which I'll run through in a second,
00:54 it is similar to something like a GLE in terms of its size.
00:57 So that is how they're positioning these things. Now down the front here, I love this.
01:01 This is an option that's available on these vehicles,
01:03 and that is the Mercedes-Benz star wrapped around this grille section.
01:06 If you have a think about stuff like the BMW iX, this is the design they're moving to.
01:11 It is blocking out this front grille because the cooling elements are all down the bottom.
01:15 So it doesn't really need to be open.
01:16 But then if you think about something like a Tesla,
01:18 it's a little bit strange looking when it doesn't have a grille on the front.
01:21 So that's why they've chosen to go down this path.
01:23 You have a big Mercedes-Benz logo here.
01:25 This is going to be available with an LED backing on it.
01:28 Unfortunately, we can't get that sort of stuff in Australia.
01:31 I hope that we do one day, but I think it really just gives the car a little bit more flavour.
01:34 In this instance here, there's actually a radar as well with some demisters behind it
01:38 to make sure you don't get any sort of ice or anything building up on that.
01:42 Above that, you've got this LED strip that runs along the top there.
01:46 And then on an aero standpoint, the EQS sedan actually holds the record for being
01:50 the vehicle on the market with the least coefficient of drag.
01:53 And that means it's able to cut through the air without any sort of real air resistance
01:57 in comparison to other vehicles on the market.
02:00 This has a higher coefficient of drag, but they've followed the same philosophy by trying
02:03 to extract as much as they humanly can out of this when it comes to air resistance.
02:09 And that means if you look along the side here, you can see air runs through this section
02:12 here and spits itself out to the tyres.
02:14 And I'll show you a wheel design as well that helps also with that aero system.
02:18 Over here with these headlights, it comes with the option of digital LED headlights.
02:22 These have 1.3 million micro mirrors in each headlight cluster.
02:26 They also allow the vehicle to project things onto the road ahead of it.
02:29 And this comes in handy if you're approaching roadwork zones or if there's any obstructions
02:32 ahead it can warn the driver by projecting something out onto the road.
02:36 It's a really cool design and something that's unique to the segment.
02:39 Coming into the side here, I'll show you the wheels.
02:41 So down here, this car's fitted with 22-inch alloy wheels.
02:44 And these wheels have a unique design that is basically here to prevent air turbulence
02:49 that is going to slow the car down and increase drag.
02:53 And when they do think about things like this, especially in an EV, they're trying to extract
02:57 as much as they can to make sure that you're not using electricity to get the car moving
03:01 more than you sort of necessarily need to.
03:03 And I like the design as well.
03:05 You've got that sort of shadow chrome on the outer edge there, piano black on the inside.
03:08 And it kind of has that turbine look to it which really serves a purpose there.
03:13 Up the top here, you have some wheel arch cladding.
03:15 Now, this little bit here, this is designed so that you can put your washer fluid into
03:20 the car.
03:21 And the whole reason is they don't have the bonnet openable.
03:23 Well, it is openable but only by service people.
03:27 And the whole, I guess, concept behind that is it's not like an old car where you have
03:30 to open the bonnet and do the work on it yourself.
03:32 There really isn't anything under there that you need to look at.
03:34 If you do open the bonnet, it does have a HEPA filter for the cabin, but that is about
03:38 it.
03:39 And that's why they've moved your washer fluid reservoir to here.
03:42 Up the top here, you've got EQE badges.
03:44 Recently, we tested the EQS SUV.
03:47 This obviously has EQS, and if they do other electric models, that is where they'll have
03:51 that designation.
03:52 There is some cool tech with the climate control as well, and we went through this in a bit
03:55 more detail in our EQS review.
03:57 But this little section up the top here helps the car decide how much airflow needs to be
04:02 going through the car.
04:03 Now, this is especially important if you're sitting on the side of the car that has the
04:06 most sun on it.
04:07 This is able to then redirect more of the cool air over to your side as opposed to the
04:11 driver.
04:12 So, it's a really clever feature, and it's good to see that they're thinking about that
04:15 sort of stuff that a lot of other manufacturers don't even pay any consideration to.
04:19 Over on our wing mirrors, we have piano black up the top there, indicator built into this
04:23 section, camera on the side, and then an LED that projects onto the floor there on the
04:27 side.
04:28 Now, have a look at this running board.
04:29 This may look like, you know, just something you find on an SUV to help you get in and
04:32 out, but it actually serves an aero purpose as well.
04:35 So this not only gives you that sort of SUV appearance, but helps reduce the amount of
04:39 drag as the car's cutting through the air.
04:41 Door handles are kind of unique here as well.
04:43 They sit flush with the body, they have LEDs around them as well, and then when you do
04:47 want the door handle to pop out, you just swipe your hand across it and then it jumps
04:51 out like that.
04:52 You've got Mercedes-Benz writing on the top there as well, so it's a pretty cool and unique
04:55 design, something a little bit different.
04:57 And then to open the door, you just pull that handle and it closes like that.
05:01 Piano black here on the side, you've got privacy glass, and then come around to the back, you
05:05 have more of this aero design.
05:07 So this little section here helps prevent turbulence around the back of the car, so
05:10 as the air cuts along there it hits this and then dissipates.
05:13 You also have these 3D taillights built into here as well.
05:17 This looks fantastic at night and it's, I guess, unique to this vehicle, so when you
05:20 do see it driving down the road you'll know exactly what it is, and just a bit of fun
05:24 trivia, this actually points down here in the EQE and points up in the EQS, just as
05:29 a point of difference.
05:30 Now this car doesn't have any badges on it, but I suspect it'll be similar to the EQS
05:33 where it will have badging on either side.
05:36 You open the boot by pushing the Mercedes-Benz logo just there.
05:39 A little bit further down, this design's a little different to what we've seen in these
05:43 other products, because this is like a matte black finish just there, and then these covers
05:47 here that signify where exhausts used to be.
05:50 So, nice sort of cohesive design there, and then a little bit of this rose gold down the
05:54 bottom there as well.
05:55 Now let me quickly run you through the dimensions, just so you can get a visual of exactly how
05:59 big this is.
06:00 It comes in at just under 4.9 metres long, a little under 2 metres wide, and just under
06:05 1700mm tall, and to put that as a visual representation, it's sort of around the same size as a GLE.
06:12 But here in person it actually has some pretty decent dimensions, and I think, to me, I prefer
06:16 the size of this.
06:17 It doesn't feel as sort of big when you see it in person as the EQS.
06:22 Now let me know what you think about the design in the comments section below.
06:25 Do you think this looks good?
06:26 Do you prefer the EQS SUV?
06:28 I'm keen for your feedback, let me know down there.
06:30 So we are inside the EQE SUV's cabin.
06:33 I'm just going to call out really quickly, in terms of the actual specs of this vehicle,
06:37 we don't have them just yet.
06:38 The vehicle is still being homologated at the time that we filmed this, but if the EQE
06:42 sedan is anything to go by, there'll be an entry level rear wheel drive variant, and
06:45 then also two AMG variants as well, and a 43 and a 53.
06:49 So we'll keep you updated at Car Expert when more information is available.
06:52 But this is what the key looks like.
06:54 So you have the lock button up the top there, unlock, boot, beautiful metal around the outside
06:58 there and then it's blank on the back.
07:00 This is a proximity sensing key, so you can grab the door handles and then once you're
07:04 inside the car you have a push button start here.
07:06 I'm going to show you a really cool feature when we get to the AMG in terms of the doors
07:10 and how they open, but for the moment I'll focus on this.
07:13 This is what we call the Mercedes-Benz Hyperscreen and this will be available as an option for
07:17 EQE SUV.
07:18 I'll run you through how that works in just a second, but I really like where Mercedes-Benz
07:22 is heading in terms of design.
07:24 So this interior is going to be available both with leather and non-leather products,
07:28 including the steering wheel as well, which has always been a bit of a challenge for manufacturers
07:31 to get right in terms of being non-leather.
07:33 But I just love the look of this, this sort of light brown material that's used along
07:37 the top there mixes in really nicely.
07:39 It flows all the way down to the doors.
07:41 You've got these LED lights that surround the cabin.
07:44 You can configure those colours to whatever you want as well.
07:47 This centre section is really nice too, so woodgrain and then it continues that Mercedes-Benz
07:51 star pattern just there as well.
07:53 So it is a very schmick looking interior and look, to be honest, when you look at this
07:58 parked next to some of the other SUVs on the market that are EVs as well, this really just
08:03 takes it to another level.
08:05 The EQE is built on its own dedicated EV platform.
08:09 This isn't an internal combustion swap job like some of the other European SUVs that
08:15 are EVs in this segment.
08:16 Now typically this is where we would do touch points, build quality, all that sort of stuff,
08:19 but given this is a pre-production car, I'm going to skip all of that and jump straight
08:23 into infotainment.
08:24 Let's talk about the hyper screen.
08:25 So I went into a whole lot more detail when we reviewed the EQS SUV and if you do want
08:29 to watch that, check out that video.
08:31 There is a link in the description below, but today I'll run you through the basics
08:34 and it all centres around this centre section really.
08:37 So this is almost 18 inches in size.
08:39 It is enormous, so it goes from there to there and there to there and then this is all one
08:44 piece of curved glass all along here as well.
08:47 It's formed at like almost 700 degrees Celsius, so it is a really impressive setup.
08:52 The top layer as well is fingerprint resistant, so it means that when you are sort of using
08:56 the screen and flicking around and touching things, that it isn't going to hold your fingerprints
09:00 like a lot of other screens do on vehicles that are sort of interactive like this is.
09:05 In addition to that, this also has haptic feedback, so as you do click on this stuff,
09:08 you feel a response in your finger so that you know that something has actually happened.
09:13 I like also down here that you have a HEPA filter menu, so the reason you can't open
09:18 that bonnet like I mentioned before is because that's where the HEPA filter is and the HEPA
09:21 filter is enormous.
09:22 I remember when I changed the filter on our Tesla, it was tiny.
09:26 This takes up virtually that entire space under the bonnet there and it actually shows
09:29 you your external and internal air quality, so it's a really cool feature and it's nice
09:34 to see that that is available with the car as well.
09:37 Turn to the other tech that you have here, both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are wireless
09:42 and Apple CarPlay literally takes up that entire screen.
09:45 It's a really cool setup and it just shows you how far this technology has actually come
09:50 in cars, which I think is pretty cool.
09:52 You have audio streaming as well available to you, so it really is quite a comprehensive
09:55 setup there.
09:57 In addition to that, you have a screen ahead of the driver.
09:58 It's a 12.3-inch display.
10:00 This has no touchscreen functionality, but you do control it here on the steering wheel
10:03 and then you can also change the views there.
10:05 You can customize it to look however you like and give it your own sort of look and feel
10:09 as required.
10:10 You'll have noticed this as well.
10:12 There is a screen on the passenger side.
10:14 When there is someone sitting in the passenger seat, you can actually flick that on and play
10:17 with the settings.
10:18 You can move some of the content from here to that screen as well and then you can kind
10:23 of dictate what appears there.
10:24 You can also watch television and movies there too.
10:27 Now I know what you're wondering, what happens if the driver then starts watching the movie
10:30 that you're watching?
10:31 Well, there are a set of cameras here just atop this cluster that keep an eye on what
10:35 the driver is doing and if it does find that they are distracted by this screen, it'll
10:39 actually turn that screen off and it can tell the difference between the driver looking
10:43 at that screen and the wing mirror when they want to change lanes.
10:45 So there is enough tech in there to know exactly what you're doing.
10:49 So this is an awesome setup and I think this is the best integration of this multi-screen
10:54 setup I've seen in a car.
10:55 So it really just suits the high-tech presence of the EQE SUV.
11:00 Now moving on to practicality, I just love both the storage in this car and also the
11:05 connectivity.
11:06 So I'll start off up the top here.
11:07 You have two USB-C ports in here as well.
11:10 You have a wireless phone charger.
11:12 This centre section here where you store your drinks, you can retract those drink holders
11:15 if you want to increase the space or remove the drink holder entirely should you so desire.
11:21 In addition to those USB ports down there, you have two USB-C ports down here, stacks
11:26 of storage down there as well.
11:28 Centre console has another two USB-C ports and a massive centre console as well.
11:34 And in terms of the glove box, you've got a sort of modestly sized glove box down there.
11:39 But they really have capitalised on basically using the EV architecture here that they are
11:45 afforded by not having an internal combustion platform hangover.
11:48 That means you get all of this storage that you wouldn't otherwise get in a platform like
11:52 this.
11:53 So it is seriously impressive.
11:55 Now what about your comfort?
11:56 So keep in mind this car is pre-production, so some of this stuff will be standard, some
12:00 won't, yada yada.
12:01 But I'll run you through what I see here in front of me anyway.
12:04 So dual zone automatic climate control with that enormous HEPA filter.
12:07 You've got heated steering wheel, heated seats for the front row with cooling as well.
12:11 The seats are really fantastic to sit in.
12:14 So obviously we haven't driven anywhere but they are supremely comfortable.
12:17 They hug you in nicely, they've got perforations there for the cooling.
12:20 And then in addition to that you have seat memory on the door for the driver and front
12:24 passenger.
12:25 Seat adjustments come in the form of forwards, backwards, you can move the base forwards
12:29 and backwards, backrest forwards and backwards and then headrest up and down as well.
12:34 It's all fully electric for both the driver and front passenger.
12:37 Steering wheel also offers electric adjustment for both tilt and reach.
12:41 And then on the reach test, when we drive the EQS SUV, all of this stuff was really
12:45 easy to reach while you were driving.
12:47 So second row of the EQE, what's it like?
12:50 Look, knee room is excellent, toe room is really good and headroom is excellent as well.
12:55 You'll notice down here flat floor, so EQC was like their first sort of SUV electric
13:01 vehicle and as you can see the flat floor here means there is no driveline hub or anything
13:07 like that from an internal combustion platform.
13:09 While we're down here though you do see two USB-C ports.
13:13 In addition to that this is where your third and fourth zone of climate control are with
13:16 air vents here.
13:18 Map pockets as well.
13:19 In terms of children, you have ISOFIX points on the two outboard seats and three top tether
13:24 points as well.
13:25 Centre armrest here with two cup holders, they are there.
13:30 And then finally you can store things in the doors as well if you want.
13:34 I'm really impressed with the amount of space back here, they really have utilised as much
13:38 as they can and even though this is shorter than the EQE sedan, it doesn't actually feel
13:42 that much smaller inside the car.
13:44 If anything it feels a bit more spacious, so yeah, pretty impressed here with the second
13:48 row.
13:49 Now let's talk cargo capacity, so you crack the boot by pushing that guy in.
13:52 Now you have a little over 500 litres of cargo capacity here in its standard form.
13:58 Then if you look under the cargo floor you have a little bit of extra storage there too,
14:02 which I think most people are going to find useful.
14:04 It would be nice if there was a little bit more storage in here, if you think of something
14:07 like a Tesla Model Y for example, you get a lot of depth to the storage, whereas this
14:11 is just that sort of low level just there.
14:14 You can expand this space a little bit more though by dropping the second row.
14:18 EQE isn't available with the third row, that's limited to the EQS SUV, but when you do drop
14:23 the second row that expands the space to a little under 1700 litres.
14:29 And have a look at this cool feature here, so you give this little button a flick and
14:34 have a look what pops out here.
14:36 Toe bar, it means that you're not going to be destroying anybody's shin in the car park
14:40 by leaving it open like everyone in Australia does.
14:46 Now before we go and have a look at the AMG, let me run you through charging.
14:50 So for the Australian market we're going to get a Type 2 plug and a CCS Type 2 combo plug.
14:55 You'll also get DC charging there as well.
14:57 On the AC front it'll charge it up to 11 kilowatts, but you will be able to option this with a
15:01 22 kilowatt three-phase charger, and then on the DC front this will charge it up to
15:06 170 kilowatts peak.
15:08 So those numbers are pretty good and typically what we see with the Mercedes-Benz product
15:11 is they'll hit the peak and sit there.
15:14 Some other brands advertise these miraculous peaks, they'll hit them and then very briefly
15:18 hit them and then start going down from there, so this is going to hold that a little bit
15:21 longer.
15:22 Now in terms of the battery size, the battery that's fitted to this is just over 90 kilowatt
15:26 hours, so it is a pretty decent sized battery and that's going to mean you actually get
15:29 decent driving range.
15:30 They're talking about driving range of between 500 and 600 kilometres, the car's still being
15:34 certified at the moment in terms of power outputs.
15:37 Once we know those things we'll get a better idea of exactly how far you'll be able to
15:40 drive on each charge.
15:42 Welcome to the red room, it's kind of like a scene out of Total Recall.
15:46 Now this is the EQE SUV, you want to be driving if you need to put hair on your chest and
15:50 I could definitely do with some of that.
15:52 This is the EQE 53 AMG, so this is a proper AMG-fettled electric car, so it should mean
16:00 that it actually drives pretty well given they've put the AMG badge on it, literally,
16:04 so you can see that badge there on the front, I think that looks really cool.
16:08 Mechanically this is actually different to the standard EQE SUV as well, so it doesn't
16:12 come down to simply being a different set of software.
16:15 Yes it does have different software but the motor's different, it also has active roll
16:19 stabilisation.
16:20 The motors will spin up to 18,000 RPM which is pretty high for an electric motor and that
16:26 also means that it can be optioned with a top speed of up to 240 km/h, so that means
16:31 it can actually mumbo-jumbo if you are fortunate enough to live in a country that allows you
16:35 to drive properly.
16:36 Now visually what are the differences?
16:38 So down the front here you'll see a different grille and I refer to it as a grille even
16:41 though it's all closed off, but you see these vertical slats here, you have an AMG badge
16:46 there as well, this enormous Mercedes-Benz logo there too, more of that rose gold finish
16:51 along the top and bottom sections there and then the black highlights here around the
16:54 aero elements, they of course dart off to the side there as well to give you that aero
16:58 advantage.
16:59 Similar headlight treatment, so you have that LED strip that runs along the top there and
17:03 the digital LED headlights with those 1.3 million micro mirrors built into them.
17:08 Come and have a look at the wheels, I think these look sensational.
17:11 So look at this design, it looks so cool, it kind of reminds me of the turbine design
17:15 on some of the Tesla cars and they really have gone to a lot of effort here to give
17:19 this a lot of visual appeal.
17:20 I probably wouldn't want to be cleaning this, there are a lot of spokes in that but it does
17:24 actually look pretty cool.
17:26 So 22-inch alloy wheel, top section there is like a bit of a polished metal look and
17:30 then down here you have a matte black finish.
17:32 Now this section here, it does look like a single locking nut but it's actually a plastic
17:36 finish there, I think if that comes off it just has your standard arrangement in the
17:39 centre there.
17:40 The tyres, so Michelin Pilot Sport EV, the first time we actually checked these out was
17:44 on the Tesla Model Y, it's available as an optional tyre and they are fantastic, both
17:49 in the wet and the dry.
17:51 You have your eco advantage there with less rolling resistance but you still have that
17:54 sporty element to it.
17:55 And for a car like this, it's not designed for the racetrack but it is designed to be
17:59 driven quickly and frequently quickly as well and I think that that tyre is going to help
18:03 achieve that.
18:04 The other cool thing as well is that you'll be able to get carbon ceramic brakes and you
18:06 can see them hiding there just behind the wheels so that should mean that this has some
18:10 pretty serious stopping power.
18:12 In addition to that it'll regen over 200 kilowatts of power in its strongest setting.
18:16 Up the top here you have 4Matic+ because that is what Mercedes-Benz terms all of those all-wheel
18:21 drive systems they fit to these sporty models.
18:24 This also has that same cap as the other car for filling your washer fluid.
18:28 Now come around to the back here, I want to run you through something else.
18:31 So the EQE SUV standard can come with the ability to turn the rear axle at up to 10
18:37 degrees, so that not only reduces your turning circle but gives you a bit more of a dynamic
18:41 drive when you're out on the road.
18:43 The AMG version on the other hand will only do 9 degrees and that is because it has wider
18:47 tyre here that doesn't allow it to tuck in as much.
18:49 So you still get the advantage of a tighter turning circle and that kind of thing but
18:53 you are limited a little bit there in terms of how far it can actually turn in.
18:56 And then whip around to the back.
18:58 So around the back here it does look similar to the non-AMG version but you get your AMG
19:02 badge there, you get more of that rose gold element down there and piano black through
19:06 here which was a matte finish on the non-AMG model and then EQE 53.
19:11 Now a couple of things I want to point out, so you're asking where is the 63?
19:15 Well Mercedes-AMG says that a 63 comes with a promise that it's able to be driven at the
19:21 track so they are still working on developing battery tech that is going to be strong enough
19:25 for durability at a racetrack.
19:27 So you probably could take this to a track if you wanted to but it is not designed for
19:30 that.
19:31 How about your power outputs?
19:32 Well the 53 which is the one that we're most likely going to be getting in Australia, 460
19:37 kW of power, 950 Nm of torque, when you do a race start that bumps up to 505 kW of power
19:45 and 1000 Nm of torque, it's just a crazy figure, and it will do 0-100 in 3.5 seconds.
19:51 So it is some mammoth performance credentials there and I'm really excited to actually have
19:56 a drive of this.
19:57 Beneath the skin as well there are a couple of other changes too.
20:00 So this actually has a system in both cars that allows it to mechanically disconnect
20:04 the front axle to reduce friction and that means instead of just telling the front motor
20:09 to stop doing stuff, you are mechanically disconnecting it from the driveline and it
20:13 means that you do get less friction and as a result of that slightly more range.
20:17 In terms of the range here it is still to be confirmed for the AMG models but I suspect
20:21 with the tyres that they have fitted and the wheels it is probably going to be a little
20:24 less than the top spec version of the EQE that is a non-AMG model.
20:28 In addition to that you have a 310 kW motor on the rear axle and 174 kW on the front axle,
20:35 so pretty healthy numbers there.
20:37 The other thing that I found out today that I thought was really interesting and I've
20:39 never actually thought about it this way, but to achieve maximum acceleration and continuous
20:44 repeatability of that acceleration, you actually need to have the battery capacity at above
20:48 80% in terms of its state of charge and the reason for that is the formula that we keep
20:53 referring to which is P=VI and when the battery gets lower you have less voltage and as a
20:57 result of that it can't create as much power that can be drawn through those electric motors.
21:02 So there is a fun fact and that is why you should have your EV fully charged if you do
21:06 want to have maximum acceleration.
21:08 So let's jump inside the car and I'll show you what it looks like here for the AMG version
21:12 of the EQE.
21:13 So we're inside the EQE 53, the AMG version.
21:16 Before I show you this have a look at this cool feature on the door.
21:18 Now keep in mind this is a pre-production car so it may not make it to the final version
21:22 but it has a little motor on the door that when you come to a full stop it actually holds
21:27 the door so if you do get any wind it will stop that from closing the door on you but
21:31 you can also automatically close the door like that.
21:34 It's a bit like a Rolls Royce which I reckon is pretty cool.
21:38 OK so have a look at this.
21:39 This looks familiar, it is the hyper screen, we've seen it in the standard EQE but this
21:43 is unique to the AMG.
21:44 There's awesome looking steering wheels so it's got the Alcantara on the edges there,
21:49 carbon trim up the top, that carbon trim continues here in the centre.
21:52 You get these buttons as well that allow you to customise different functions of the car
21:57 and something I learnt today as well which I think is really cool, you can actually set
22:00 your own custom shortcuts for these buttons so when you push and hold that for example
22:05 it allows you to bring this menu up that allows you to then add other functions in here as
22:10 you go.
22:11 So you don't have to be limited to what Mercedes-Benz has for you, you can change that as you go
22:15 which is pretty cool.
22:16 So in addition to that you get AMG seats and if they are leather you get the AMG crest
22:21 up the top there and being a performance version of the AMG you do get some custom menus in
22:27 here so if you go to the AMG performance menu, have a look at this, so you've got your energy
22:31 flow menu which is sort of pretty straightforward but when you go to the drive menu it will
22:34 actually tell you how much torque and what RPM the electric motors are spinning at which
22:39 I think is remarkable stuff, the voltage and the current running through them, the temperature
22:43 as well, it really is a cool setup, you can see your suspension working there and you
22:48 can also see what your electric motors are doing as well, this is so high-tech and cool
22:53 and then finally have a look at this, you have an IWC watch there that also acts as
22:57 a timer as well so there's a pretty awesome setup there what you can do and look outside
23:02 of that the interior here is quite similar to the EQE SUV so it does mean that if you
23:07 do want all of that performance punch you are getting your custom displays here with
23:11 all of the details, you're getting all of these AMG touch points as well but comes with
23:15 all the benefits of the standard EQE SUV in terms of space and I guess the roominess inside
23:20 the cabin so I am pretty impressed with how this looks and I genuinely cannot wait to
23:24 drive it.
23:27 So that has been your first look at the new Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV and also the AMG version
23:32 of the EQE SUV, look I'm a bit of a tech person so I'm actually pretty excited to see how
23:37 these drive given they are now on a dedicated EV platform and it means that Mercedes-Benz
23:42 has been able to craft all of this and then AMG has been able to come in and do some of
23:46 their own work to this as well, I'm hoping that it's comfortable yet sporty at the same
23:49 time and I'm also keen to see what happens when they roll out eventually a 63 version
23:54 of their EV product.
23:55 Now we don't know our full details yet, the car has only just been revealed but we will
23:59 have more information when we get it at carexpert.com.au.
24:02 Now let me know in the comments section below what do you reckon about these cars, are you
24:05 excited for the AMG version?
24:07 I definitely am, I'm keen for your feedback so let me know down there.
