00:00 Sports professor Rick Harrow, inside the $1.3 trillion business of sports with your Daily
00:05 Numbers game.
00:06 How about Netflix?
00:07 Fresh off of Drive to Survive and Full Swing, even the Netflix Cup, they're mixing the participants
00:15 in these golf and racing series with golf tournaments, and they're doing it live and
00:20 they're streaming.
00:21 And their president says this is the wave of the future, and they're going to bid for
00:26 rights.
00:27 What is next?
00:28 The in-season tournament, some say, and ESPN had an example of a 63% increase in one game
00:34 compared to another regular season game.
00:36 What the NBA might do, should do, is to carve out the in-season tournament game rights as
00:42 part of its TV package after the 2025 rights fees kick in.
00:47 After all, they want about $50 to $75 billion, and Netflix, as a willing and capitalized
00:53 outlier, may just do the trick.
00:56 I'm Professor Rick Harl, Daily Numbers guy.
00:58 you
