00:00 And like, oh, because a couple of times, you know,
00:02 Nick, you know, chasing yards down field,
00:04 and we got drinks, dudes, and I'm like,
00:06 we just got out of here, man.
00:07 It's only a two plays, but, you know,
00:09 and Dylan's definitely in a groove and that, you know,
00:11 always happens, you know, when, you know,
00:13 we're doing a good job protecting him
00:14 and blocking for him as well.
00:16 But it was great, 'cause, you know,
00:17 I think best quarterbacks in the country.
00:20 And, you know, as long as we give him
00:21 the amount of time to do that, he can showcase it.
00:23 I mean, eight total touchdowns, 400 something yards.
00:26 I mean, that's who he is.
00:28 That's DG, and he's a leader.
00:30 He corrals us, you know, something bad play happens,
00:32 you know, flush it, move on, get the next play.
00:35 And, you know, even if he has, like, you know,
00:36 you said he missed a couple of throws.
00:37 He goes out there each and every possession and drive,
00:41 you know, like it's a, like, again, like it's a new drive.
00:44 Doesn't, you know, think about it too much.
00:46 He's a leader.
00:47 He leads us.
00:48 I got nothing.
00:49 DG is him, man.
00:50 He's a good dude.
00:51 - How much of a tone setters is the offensive line
00:54 for a big game like this?
00:55 I mean, he's lost a couple in a row.
00:57 How important do you guys take to kind of set the tone?
00:59 - I mean, it's, I think it's one of the most important
01:02 things, I mean, each and every game, especially today,
01:05 you know, they go down and score and then we come right,
01:08 you know, come on the field for our first possession
01:09 and we score and then we continue to score.
01:13 And I just think, you know, just everyone just,
01:15 that just, you know, invigorates and everyone else
01:18 is defensing that.
01:19 And I mean, the way, I mean, the way defense was playing,
01:22 you know, I mean, we were on the field just constantly,
01:24 but it was, that's what we want, you know,
01:28 you know, we're driving down the field and, you know,
01:30 that's what, you know, Beaton Bowe,
01:32 that's what he coaches, that's what he preaches,
01:34 to be like a dominant offensive line.
01:36 And, you know, there's been some games
01:38 where we haven't been like that.
01:39 Like I said before, I think this is something that we just,
01:42 we were consistent.
01:43 We were consistently dominating the defense
01:46 and we just have to keep that up.
01:48 - Walter, it seems like you're trying to,
01:49 like Coach Beaton Bowe is still coaching us
01:50 harder than ever, you know, we're good in pass pro,
01:53 we need to be good in the run game too,
01:55 because if we're good in the run game
01:56 and we're good in pass pro, then, you know,
01:58 I think we could be unstoppable.
01:59 And I think that really showed today
02:01 of what, how complete we can be
02:03 and how consistent we are with the run game
02:05 and just constantly just, you know, you know,
02:07 giving the confidence to the running backs,
02:09 to DG, the coaches that you put the ball on the ground,
02:13 like we can get, like we can get yards with it,
02:15 you know, and that's, and that's who we want to be
02:17 as an Oklahoma offensive line.
02:19 - I know Dylan's not a stereotypical running quarterback,
02:21 but when he can get going a little bit on the ground,
02:25 what does that add to this offense?
02:27 - I mean, it's just, especially when DG gets going,
02:30 'cause, you know, I think defense is like,
02:31 you know, he's not stereotypical running,
02:32 but like he's got some sneaky speed and some quickness.
02:35 And when he gets out there in space and just like,
02:37 go Dylan, go, like, go man, go.
02:40 And it's just like, it just, you know,
02:41 it just gets the extra, extra pump for the team.
02:44 And especially, you know, when Dylan is getting yards
02:47 or, you know, he scored a touchdown
02:49 or getting the first down on one of our pool plays
02:51 or our counter plays,
02:52 when he was able to get into the end zone.
02:54 So anytime that happens, it's like, man,
02:56 it's like, it's just, you love to see that
02:57 for your quarterback and, you know,
02:58 just it hypes up the rest of the team.
03:01 - You happy for Levy at all?
03:03 Caught a lot of, caught a lot of flack the last two weeks.
03:05 That play callers do, right?
03:06 - Yeah, I mean, I think Coach Levy is an amazing coach
03:11 and I'm, you know, you know, along with Coach Levy,
03:15 Coach Beedamo, Coach Lee, like, you know,
03:18 me personally, I came to Oklahoma
03:19 because I believed in what they were saying
03:21 and what they could do for us.
03:22 And I have always, even with our two,
03:24 the two losses we had in the close game UCF,
03:26 like I've never lost belief and faith in them.
03:29 And, you know, you're gonna get criticism, you know,
03:33 when we don't win games or whatnot.
03:34 'Cause I think it would have been entirely different,
03:35 you know, it wouldn't be as much if we had pulled,
03:37 we were able to pull out those two wins against, you know,
03:38 Kansas, Oklahoma State.
03:39 But the fact that, you know, you know,
03:41 Coach Lee, the thing I love about Coach Levy is that,
03:44 you know, he, you know, I think, personally, I think,
03:48 you know, we have to be able to execute
03:50 whatever the coaches put out there,
03:52 but he's also, you know, takes accountability for himself,
03:54 but I don't think he needs to do that.
03:56 But as a coach, him doing that, you know, just, you know,
04:00 I think, you know, he's an amazing coach, amazing person.
04:04 And he still comes in here with the same amount
04:07 of enthusiasm, enthusiasm, and, you know,
04:11 the work ethic as he did against Arkansas State or Texas.
