Sheffield Wednesday left ruing more missed chances in Millwall defeat.

00:00 So another miserable evening for Sheffield Wednesday, well miserable afternoon should
00:04 I say. It feels later now that the cold and the dark is creeping in earlier and it feels
00:10 like some badness is creeping in at Sheffield Wednesday as well. You know where Wednesday
00:14 are. They're just struggling. I think you look at today's performance and they started
00:19 brightly, they really came out of the blocks well, started creating chances, were playing
00:23 with a bit of a confidence of Irv and it just didn't amount to anything. There was a big
00:29 chance for Anthony Massaba which felt pivotal in the game. They missed it, Massaba hit it
00:34 into the leopards lane after being fed by Bannon and after that it was just, it all
00:39 changed. They conceded about a minute later I think it was from a corner, really avoidable
00:46 from a Wayne's perspective. Don't want to be annoyed at the way they conceded and after
00:51 that the stuffing was just completely knocked out of them. The confidence, the organisation
00:58 they did have, it all just kind of fell away. They started making mistakes, there was loose
01:02 passes all over the place. The second one went in and obviously that largely put the
01:08 game to bed just because Wednesday haven't scored enough this season. Three big changes
01:13 at half time, one of which was obviously Bailey Kadamachere, a teenager coming on for his
01:17 first league appearance. But yes, seven minutes into the second half they were 3-0 down, another
01:23 avoidable goal and just a difficult, difficult afternoon for Sheffield Wednesday here at
01:27 Hillsborough. Forgettable in so many ways. But just a word on Bailey Kadamachere who
01:33 I thought did well. He was a bright spark in a dull second half, a gloomy second half
01:41 should I say. Wednesday did create plenty, they created lots of chances in the game and
01:46 I think just the way that Millwall were so clinical was the difference. Wednesday probably
01:51 had as many clear chances as Millwall did but they just didn't take any of them. Bill
01:57 Kowski made a couple of really good saves and just from a Wednesday perspective they
02:03 weren't able to maximise on what they did create and it's been the tale of the season
02:08 I think. There was a chance for I think it was Massaba who missed from almost a yard
02:15 out, it was given offside so it wouldn't have made a difference anyway but it did kind of
02:18 sum up where Wednesday are at this season with the chances that they're not taking.
02:24 Big international break now, it's always a little bit longer when you go in there on
02:28 the back of his feet so we'll have to see what happens. Plenty of things for Danny Real
02:33 to work on that's for sure. We spoke to him afterwards, he did confirm that Michael Smith
02:36 was missing due to an injury. Lee Gregory was just a selection issue, he decided that
02:41 Bailey Kadamachere was the one to go for for this one instead. We'll have plenty of fallout
02:46 on the start at Koda UK so keep it locked on there and I'll speak to you guys soon.
02:50 Take care.
