Start Em Sit Em Week 10 Fantasy Football
Transcript
00:00 Michael Fabiano's back with week 10's start sits for every position.
00:03 Let's kick it off with quarterbacks, Fabs.
00:06 Jared Goff is on the road and I'm actually going to start him this week.
00:10 I love the matchup against the LA Chargers.
00:12 Their defense has really struggled against quarterbacks.
00:14 Four have beaten them for at least 24.9 points.
00:18 So Jared Goff on the road in what should be a high scoring game is a stardom.
00:23 I'm also going to start Brock Purdy and I get it.
00:25 The numbers of the last few games for Purdy have not been good, but it's a good matchup
00:29 against the Jaguars.
00:31 Five quarterbacks have beaten them for more than 17 fantasy points this season.
00:35 So start Brock Purdy.
00:38 And as far as who you're sitting, you're not trusting Deshaun Watson despite a good showing
00:42 last weekend.
00:43 And Watson has had 18 plus points in three of his first four full games on the year.
00:48 So he's been pretty good from a fantasy perspective, but this is a bad matchup against the Baltimore
00:52 Ravens over the last four weeks.
00:54 No team in the league has given up fewer points to quarterbacks than Baltimore.
00:58 And going back to that Jaguars 49ers game, I'm sitting Trevor Lawrence.
01:03 I don't know why folks have Lawrence ranked so high.
01:06 He's averaging 15 points per game.
01:08 Now the Niners defense has been bad over the last three weeks where they've gone 0-3, but
01:14 overall they're still allowing an average of fewer than 14 fantasy points per game to
01:18 quarterbacks.
01:19 So I am sitting Trevor Lawrence in his glorious locks.
01:23 You just sat both my Scott Fishbowl quarterbacks.
01:26 I'm going to try not to cry about it.
01:27 Let's move over to the running back position.
01:29 You say there is hope for Najee Harris.
01:32 Yeah, Najee Harris is certainly a player that has been, well, let's just say less than reliable
01:38 from a fantasy perspective.
01:40 But look at the numbers lately, three straight games, double digit fantasy points.
01:44 He's starting to get into the end zone and the Packers have been bad against running
01:47 backs.
01:48 So I'm playing Najee Harris as an RB2 flex.
01:50 I also like Javante Williams.
01:52 Maybe we're starting to get the breakout season for Javante Williams that some of us predicted.
01:57 He had 27 rushes in a game before the bye week, which means what?
02:01 He is getting more of the workload, which means less for Jaleel McLaughlin and Samadji
02:05 Pirine.
02:06 And the Bills defense, although it's tough overall, you can run against this team.
02:11 So Javante Williams is a nice RB2.
02:15 The New York Giants have fallen on some tough times and it seems like there's only one player
02:18 you can trust in that offense.
02:19 But you say actually, uh-uh, not so fast.
02:22 Beware Saquon Barkley.
02:24 Right.
02:25 Beware Saquon.
02:26 I know you got to play him.
02:27 I get it.
02:28 But the Giants offensive line is shot.
02:30 Their quarterback situation is shot.
02:32 Their offense is shot.
02:34 And they're playing the best defense in the National Football League in our beloved Dallas
02:38 Cowboys.
02:39 I think Barkley could struggle.
02:40 In fact, Jen, I'm trying to trade Saquon Barkley now before it gets worse.
02:44 I'm also going to fade Gus Edwards.
02:46 Gus Edwards has been awesome.
02:48 This guy has been getting into the end zone at a really high rate.
02:51 In fact, he has scored six touchdowns over his last three games.
02:55 But he's got the Browns this week.
02:57 Their defense has allowed the fourth fewest fantasy points to running backs.
03:01 Only three touchdowns allowed all season long.
03:04 So if you start Gus to bus, you may want to temper your expectations.
03:10 The Niners are back from bye.
03:11 That's exciting for a lot of us.
03:12 And also there's a new quarterback in Tennessee.
03:16 So you like their receivers.
03:19 First off, yeah, let's start off with Brandon Aiyuk.
03:21 His numbers haven't been great lately, but I think he's going to put up a very good stat
03:24 line and what could be a high scoring game for the Niners against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
03:28 They've been awful against perimeter receivers, allowing the fourth most points to the position,
03:33 including 77 catches.
03:34 So Brandon Aiyuk's a good play.
03:36 And New Hopkins was a bit of a disappointment last week.
03:39 Only had 10 points.
03:40 But did you see what the Houston Texans did to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week?
03:45 I mean, that was incredible.
03:47 So New Hopkins with Will Levis starting for the Titans looks like he'll be the guy the
03:50 rest of the season.
03:51 I like that.
03:52 From a Tennessee standpoint, New Hopkins is a very nice wide receiver too and a plus matchup.
03:57 Your first sit on the wide receiver list is breaking my heart.
04:00 Go ahead.
04:01 Deliver the bad news.
04:03 Here's what I hope.
04:04 That Devontae Adams, who is the sit of the week at wide receiver for me, is reverse jinxed
04:10 back into fantasy relevance.
04:12 Hey folks, if you looked at Devontae Adams' numbers and didn't look at the name, you would
04:17 not play this player.
04:18 He has had single digit points in four of his last five games.
04:21 He's averaging fewer than 10 points per game in his last five.
04:25 He's got the Jets this week.
04:26 It's a brutal matchup.
04:28 If you've got depth at wide receiver, I know this is blasphemy.
04:31 I would sit Devontae Adams.
04:33 And George Pickens is another player that I don't love this week.
04:36 Since Deontay Johnson has come back, Pickens' targets have really gone down.
04:40 DJ is the wide receiver to start in Pittsburgh.
04:43 And the matchup's not great against the Packers.
04:45 They've only given up two touchdowns of perimeter receivers this season.
04:48 So George Pickens, suddenly a risk in fantasy land.
04:52 And finally, let's get to the suddenly exciting tight end position.
04:56 We got some of this Texans offense on the list.
04:58 Give it to us.
04:59 Yeah, Dalton Schultz had a very good game last week.
05:02 We liked him last week and he was just beautiful from a statistical perspective.
05:07 And now he's got the Bengals.
05:08 And the Bengals have a lot of the most fantasy points at tight ends.
05:11 Dalton Kincaid beat him up last week.
05:13 I think Schultz is a top 10 play this week.
05:16 I also like Trey McBride.
05:17 Now I understand he didn't have a good stat line last week.
05:20 But this is all about the volume.
05:22 He's running a lot of routes.
05:24 He could end up being the second most targeted Cardinals receiver this week behind, of course,
05:28 Hollywood Brown.
05:29 And we're getting Kyler Murray back.
05:30 So start Trey McBride at what's a thin position.
05:35 And two tight ends you're sitting.
05:36 Both had good weeks last week.
05:37 But you're saying don't chase the points with this week's matchups.
05:41 Right.
05:42 Musgrave in Green Bay had a nice double-digit performance last week.
05:45 But he's got Pittsburgh this week.
05:47 They've allowed one touchdown and the 50 was fantasy points at tight ends.
05:51 So beware Luke Musgrave and beware Kate Otten.
05:53 And Kate Otten is sneaky Ben OK.
05:56 He had a huge game last week.
05:58 He's averaging right around nine points per game for the season, which isn't bad at the
06:01 tight end position.
06:03 But the problem here is the matchup.
06:04 All right.
06:05 The Titans defense has allowed only one tight end.
06:08 That's Mark Andrews to score double digits this year.
06:11 And he only had 10.9 points against them.
06:13 So the matchup is selling Kate Otten as a sit this week.
06:19 There you have it.
