The Nelson Mandela Memorial in Princes Park has been vandalised. Mandela8, who organised the installation, called it "a deliberate act of racism." They've said one of the memorial stones awaiting installation was daubed with offensive graffiti, and another was pushed into the water. The incident has been reported to police.

Merseyside Police has again been graded as outstanding for its approach to tackling serious organised crime. The independent report from the HMICFRS said the Force's Intelligence Bureau is pivotal in "directing the force's resources in the fight against organised crime.

The BTR Liverpool Santa Dash pop-up shop has opened in St. Johns Shopping Centre – ready for thousands of Santas ahead of the big day. This year's event on Sunday, 3 December, will be the 20th staging of 5K.
