Police are continuing to appeal for information after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Belle Vale on Tuesday 31 October at around 9:20pm. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene. The man, in his 60's was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his hip, ribs and face.

Liverpool Council is expected to go millions of pounds over its budget as it attempts to tackle the ever growing homelessness issue facing the city. Currently more than 900 people are in temporary accommodation and 528 in bed and breakfasts.
