00:00So I'm Dave from Riverside Festival, I'm Mark, I'm one of the promoters of Riverside Festival,
00:06and we got this summer's closing party this big weekend with a fantastic summer weather.
00:13With the backdrop of the architecturally superb museum, let's show you around the site then.
00:19So I think we start off here, we're on the river, so this is probably quite a good thing to point
00:25out to folk, it's not the sexiest part of the site by any stretch of the imagination,
00:28but this is the second toilet block, which is, some people might find quite difficult to find,
00:34so it does exist here and it's over beside the river. You always end up at events and the main
00:39toilet block could be busy, but not everyone realises there's always somewhere else,
00:43so these are important facts. But you've got this lovely panorama as well man, right down
00:49the river, and the thing that everyone needs at a festival is plenty of bars as well,
00:55because when the sun's out you feel like a cider or a beer.
01:02So this is what is called bar two over here, so this is the one that backs into the dock area
01:08over beside the river. So coming around here, this is the main entrance and the main exit
01:13to the site, this is more of the big feed food areas all around here, and this is where you
01:18start to come around into the main area now. It is a vast site isn't it? I mean as Dave was
01:24saying, we've got the Danley sound system, which was getting our road test yesterday, and it packs
01:30a punch as always. This is what we call our front house position, where all the light operators and
01:37sound desks go that monitor the main stages, and this is a delay stack here, so for anybody beyond
01:43this point you can still hear the music nice and loud. And at this point in the build, all the
01:49signs go up, so this will say exit, this will say toilets, this will say bar, and it's the kind of
01:55finishing touches. The main thrust this week has been building this giant screen, there's 100 square
02:01meters of high definition LED screen there, so the show is going to be incredible. And because we've
02:08got a, usually we do the festival in May, we've got an extra hour of darkness, so we've got some
02:12lasers planned and lights, moving lights and loads of strobe. Some of the audience get to go
02:18behind the DJs and get a real view of what's going on, and this platform at the back will be full of
02:26people dancing, as well as this whole area here. Doors open at 4pm, we've got a last entry at 6pm,
02:34so we just really encourage folk to come down as early as possible, make the most of the day.
02:39We've still got a few tickets left for skin on skin Ketama, so make the most of this sunshine,
02:43this could be the last real chance to enjoy Glasgow's summer. We have been praying a lot,
02:49we have been praying a lot, because we've been to a few wet events ourselves this year, so
02:55such a relief to get this.
