00:00 >> I think this is the sixth time you guys held an offense to one touchdown or
00:03 fewer.
00:04 How close are you to consistently playing at kind of a level you guys think you can
00:07 be at?
00:09 >> Yeah, I mean, that's just part of our standard on defense is obviously holding
00:13 those scores as tough as possible.
00:15 But yeah, I mean, I think today, I mean, obviously we had a decent game.
00:21 Scoreboard said what it said, but I think honestly,
00:24 there's a lot we could have done better today.
00:27 And a good thing is we'll be able to go back and fix that.
00:30 But right now, the defense is operating at a very high level.
00:33 And we have a very high standard that we've set for ourselves.
00:35 So that's just us coming out and executing the standard.
00:39 >> Is he gonna get a contribution on the box score for that interception?
00:42 But is it simple as a hurry or do you guys account for
00:46 it some other way when you walk a guard all the way back to the quarterback?
00:49 >> Yeah, I mean, I don't know what the official stat line on that is or was.
00:53 But that's just us doing our job.
00:57 It is big plays like that are important.
01:00 And we talked about again, last week we left a lot of strip sacks on the board.
01:07 We could have had a ton more getting the ball on and stuff like that.
01:10 So this week we really emphasized it.
01:12 And then this came out, I was able to push the tackle right into the quarterback and
01:17 ball went up and Steve made a play on it.
01:19 So I don't know what the stat line is, but it was a big play and
01:23 we got the ball back, so that was all that mattered.
01:24 >> Walk us through the strip sack later.
01:26 >> Yeah, so I mean, Tatum is actually funny.
01:30 Tatum, Teodio and I were on the same side and
01:32 we ran a quick little pass rush game.
01:35 And I'm glad I taught him how to do that when I coached him in high school,
01:38 cuz it worked perfectly.
01:39 Nah, I'm kidding.
01:40 But yeah, no, that was a quarterback, I came around the corner,
01:44 quarterback was hanging on the ball still.
01:46 So again, just reach for the ball, get the ball out.
01:50 The QB hits are cool and all, but when you can get the ball out and
01:53 change the game, that's the most important thing.
