00:00 and it's kind of just up in my ear,
00:01 like, ready for you to come back and need you.
00:04 So I'm glad I'm able to do that today.
00:06 Has there been any games this year
00:08 where all of you guys were healthy?
00:10 And how good could you be if all of you guys were healthy?
00:14 Because all of you guys have been dangerous at one point.
00:18 Yeah. I think when you come in,
00:20 especially as a running back position as a freshman,
00:22 even if you come in the spring or the fall,
00:23 you're probably not healthy the rest of your career.
00:26 So, like you said, everybody in that running back room
00:29 is very talented, and Coach Sims does a good job
00:31 of having us all ready.
00:33 So I think that's probably the biggest thing.
00:35 Yeah.
00:39 What was working so well for you today?
00:40 Obviously, you had a big day, eight carries, 100 yards.
00:44 What was working there, obviously,
00:46 with the whole senior year?
00:47 What were you seeing from the NBCF
00:48 that you guys could rely on that?
00:50 Yeah, I think it was more of our offensive line.
00:51 You know, we had a great week of practice.
00:53 I think they were kind of up there just moving guys
00:54 and creating those big holes, like you said.
00:57 We did a lot of what we've been doing all year,
01:00 and, you know, today kind of just those holes were big,
01:02 and we were able to hit them.
01:04 Brian, what do you do as a leader on this team
01:07 to make sure guys know what eligibility left,
01:10 keep everybody locked in,
01:11 and keep running with the same order of senior?
01:13 Yeah, absolutely. Like I said earlier,
01:14 that comes with being a leader.
01:16 You know, there's going to be guys
01:17 that might not want to finish the year
01:19 for that exact reason, not being bowl-eligible,
01:21 but there's a lot of other leaders in there, like me,
01:24 guys who came back for their extra year,
01:26 like Keanu Belief and Juwan.
01:28 You know, we kind of have this Bearcat council thing,
01:29 and we'll take a good look at it tomorrow
01:32 and, you know, figure out the best plan of action,
01:34 you know, kind of keep everybody together.
01:37 Behind the scenes, how tough has this been on you,
01:39 kind of experience in those seven in a row?
01:42 Yeah, absolutely. I mean, you know,
01:43 what Bearcat football has been in the past couple years,
01:46 it's been really difficult, frustrating, you know,
01:49 hurts, you know, but not about me.
01:54 So I'm going to make sure I'm there for the younger guys
01:55 and, you know, giving everything I got to them
01:57 so that they can take this program back to where it was.
02:01 Ryan, how would you define success for us?
02:05 Yeah, I think success for us the rest of the year
02:07 would just look like giving everything we have,
02:09 kind of like we have all year.
02:10 You know, we put up numbers that would, you know,
02:13 otherwise say we're winning games, but we haven't.
02:15 So I don't think that's going to be success
02:17 as far as the numbers.
02:18 I think success is just going out there
02:19 and putting on a product that we're proud of as far as effort.
02:22 Coach, Tadezo started talking about how he seemed as upset
02:25 as you've seen him.
02:26 Was he as upset as you've seen him
02:27 as a first-team conqueror?
02:28 Yeah, you know, he takes it to the score
02:30 of all the players on that team, you know,
02:31 because, you know, he's our leader, number one up top.
02:34 So everybody looks to him and looks to him
02:36 for that leadership.
02:37 He was pretty visibly upset, you know,
02:39 especially for seniors like myself
02:41 and some other guys in there.
02:42 This is how we pictured it.
02:44 You know, so he really showed that he felt that for us.
02:48 Thanks, Ryan. Welcome to the conference.
