00:00 Sam's bobbing his head, so somebody's breaking the rules.
00:04 Here's your spooky spot on the Royal Bobble's Trick or Treat Unmasked Sam Bobblehead.
00:09 [music]
00:28 [paper rustling]
00:42 Trick or Treat, Sam wants something good to eat.
00:45 Add a touch of terror to any space with this officially licensed Unmasked Sam Bobblehead.
00:51 I have a sneaking suspicion that Sam wants a little more than just candy from Mr. Krieg.
00:56 Before we get a closer look at the Unmasked Sam Bobblehead, let me send out a big thank you to the folks over at Royal Bobble's.
01:02 They did come through and provide this sample of the Unmasked Sam Bobblehead that we can have a look at during the month of Spocktober.
01:08 Before, of course, we bring in the other Trick or Treat Bobbleheads we've already had a look at.
01:12 We've already looked at two, now this is being the third.
01:15 First thing I obviously did want to do, though, as well, is measure off just the top of this, just to show you guys how tall the bobblehead stands.
01:21 It's going to be a little bit shorter than some of the other bobbleheads we've looked at from before.
01:24 Sam only stands about six inches in height, or the figure's 15 centimeters tall.
01:29 And what a better way to celebrate the spooky season by having a whole bunch of Sam Bobbleheads on display.
01:35 Here's what the Unmasked Sam Bobblehead looks like, along with the partially masked bobblehead.
01:40 This was the lollipop slashing Sam that we looked at in the earlier review.
01:44 We also looked at Bagwell, the kid with the bag.
01:47 And in this case, again, like you can see, they're all going to be about the same size to one another.
01:51 And why are you freeing up space, humbled reviewer over here?
01:54 What's going on over here?
01:56 Well, I did also want to let you guys know that, once again, these bobbleheads are going to be a little bit shorter than your regular bobblehead we've looked at before, case in point.
02:02 Here's what the three bobbleheads look like.
02:05 More importantly, the one that we're going to be looking at, the unmasked version of Sam, looks like next to this shape.
02:10 I call that other Sam lollipop slash. It was actually lollipop stab.
02:15 And while I avoid all the villagers with their torches and pitchforks, included inside the box, along with the unmasked Sam, we got ourselves a couple of advertisements here.
02:24 First of which, you can create your own bobblehead in three easy steps.
02:27 Go to www.bobbleheads.com, choose your type, standard, pre-made, body, or fully customized.
02:32 Upload your photo and check out.
02:34 Proof of approve your order, and then your bobblehead ships fast within two to three days service.
02:39 Also, as well, some advertisements, some various other bobbleheads, not necessarily of the spooky season.
02:44 There's one, of course, there's Michael Myers behind the, of course, the little grating there, the post, what do you call that?
02:51 The guard railing, guard railing, I guess that would be.
02:54 There's also It, Pennywise, and also there's Ghostface.
02:57 And if you're also into more of the presidential run of things, or just elections, and again, like all that kind of stuff, I mean, obviously there's these ones as well.
03:04 The political, political, it's right over there.
03:06 Ah, my chalice of blood, where is it right now?
03:09 Moving that to the side, though, let's get a closer look, though, at Sam unmasked.
03:13 It really isn't that much different than the earlier looked at a lollipop stab version.
03:18 Now, this display stand is going to be the same shape, sure, but it is going to be slightly different from one another.
03:23 The original Sam, at least the one that we looked at here, had more of a floor boarding here, for at least the thing that he's going to be standing on top of.
03:29 And, of course, the bottom of it did have the royal bobbles sticker with, again, conveniently placed in the corners there, some rubberized feet to prevent scratching on surfaces.
03:37 This version of Sam does things a little bit differently, though.
03:40 This one actually does have him, though, amongst some fall foliage, some fallen leaves.
03:45 Leaves of various colors, I mean, this one actually looks like it's gone a little bit more moldier, but there's some yellows and some nice, really reddish cranberry colors in there as well.
03:54 And you also got yourself a nice little jack-o-lantern.
03:56 The jack-o-lantern does look quite good, and it's a nice little accompanying piece.
03:59 Adds a little bit of flair to the already pretty cool looking display stand of Sam here.
04:04 The one thing I will say, though, about this is the fact that this is an unmasked version of Sam that does have his bag in his hand and does have, then, the broken lollipop in his other hand.
04:12 But being the fact that this is an unmasked version of Sam, I almost would have even flipped the two around and maybe even instead used the fall foliage version of the display stand with this version of Sam.
04:23 Because, again, he's got the burlap sack back on, and I maybe would have used being that this is the unmasked version, would have gone maybe with the floor boarding instead.
04:30 Not that it really matters. I mean, I think both of them actually look so good together on the shelf.
04:34 It doesn't really necessarily matter for me, at least.
04:37 The fact that they are using different ones are flipped around different display stands.
04:41 The same stand, actually, same rules apply, at least.
04:43 There's a sticker on the bottom of it for Royal Baubles, www.royalbaubles.com.
04:47 And, again, gifted to the corners, there's some rubberized feet to prevent scratching on surfaces.
04:52 Well, we just move this one out of the way because I just feel like it's a bit of a distraction.
04:55 Closer look, though, at least, of the head sculpt for Sam.
04:58 I've already taken precautionary measures of removing, again, that little foam strip that's actually dividing the neck to the head to allow the head to fully bobble.
05:05 Now, these are hand-painted resin bobble heads, so along goes with that the caution of -- or the cautionary tale, at least, of how you're going to be handling these bobble heads.
05:14 You will want to be careful, of course, putting them on the shelf.
05:16 The last thing you'd like to have any of these things happen have is to have them falling off the shelf.
05:20 Because, again, like anything on this could be potentially breakable.
05:24 But head sculpt-wise, if I can just actually hold the spring, getting a closer look at both Sam's head and, again, like the rest of his body, all very meticulously sculpted and well-painted as well.
05:34 And while we only really got a glimpse of it when we looked at this earlier, Sam, only just part of his face was exposed with the canvas sack, the burlap sack was just ripped away.
05:43 Now we get the full frightful features of Sam here, looking, of course, like a jack-o'-lantern himself.
05:49 I love the way that the eyes have been sculpted.
05:51 Something that also I never really draw attention to is the fact that if you look at his eyes, his eyes have the little criss-cross stitching that he also would have had for the button.
06:00 See that? I thought that was always kind of cool about that.
06:03 I really like the darker colors that they've used for the recessed sections of the eyes.
06:06 It isn't quite black, it isn't quite brown, it's sort of more like a reddish brown that they've used.
06:11 Both that and as well the way they've painted the lips here in that same similar brown, and the cavity of what he has left behind of his nose has been painted that same brown as well.
06:20 The wash that they've added to the head sculpt, just to spin this around,
06:23 now obviously being a bobblehead is going to be a little bit bigger of a head and slightly smaller of a body to accommodate the fact that this does move back and forth.
06:30 But again, the attention to detail, so well done here by Royal Baubles.
06:34 The colors, of course, continue on down to the rest of the figure's body.
06:38 Now to look at his, his onesies versus the one that we looked at before,
06:42 I can't help but draw the attention to the fact that these ones look a little bit brighter of a color of orange,
06:47 where this one actually looked a little bit more darker and grimey-er,
06:50 where he'd actually had the broken lollipop in his one hand up like he's going to be slashing somebody.
06:55 This Sam actually just so casually is carrying it to the side.
06:58 Now I would imagine if he's going to have it this close to his onesie that he's probably getting hair and debris all over it.
07:03 I don't know if he really cares all that much, most of us at least, I know I would be at least,
07:07 if I ever dropped a lollipop, that thing would never get thrown in the garbage.
07:10 I'd just run it under water and just had to get the hairs and everything else that's fallen onto it.
07:14 That thing's still good, why are you going to be throwing it away?
07:17 The other thing that's neat about this one is the fact that he is dragging behind a bag.
07:20 Now it looks to me like there's something inside, almost looks almost like a human head.
07:24 Probably there's a few little smashed pumpkins he's carrying around with him.
07:27 Who knows really what he has all inside that bag,
07:30 but it does look like it's got a little bit of staining happening here,
07:33 and it really does look like he's been dragging this around all night with him.
07:36 All in all though, it's a really nice, just to spin this around, really really nice looking bobble head.
07:41 The texturing and the way they've sculpted the way the, of course the pajamas drape and bag on the figure's body,
07:46 really again look just as good.
07:48 I mean I would imagine like looking at the two, they look like they're probably using the exact same body,
07:52 and I can't fault them for doing that either.
07:54 I mean yes, they would have done a completely different base when it comes to the two,
07:57 but I mean just to use the base alone, maybe use just the same body alone,
08:01 I can't fault them again for that.
08:02 I mean it was a good body in the first place when we looked at this one,
08:05 it's just as good of a body when we're looking at this one right here.
08:08 Now again like this is a bobble head, so of course inside,
08:11 and hopefully you guys can able to see that,
08:13 attached to the top of the neck for example is a spring,
08:16 and then glued on the inside of the head is actually the part where the spring attaches to the head,
08:20 and between those two, again like you really get yourself a nice little bobble head.
08:24 These would not be the type of bobble heads you'd want to have attached inside your car.
08:27 I had a friend in fact that actually had a couple of bobble heads attached onto his dashboard,
08:31 and he really wouldn't want to have something like this.
08:33 So kind of considered more to be a higher end collectible,
08:36 you really wouldn't want something like this to be moving around in a car while you're driving.
08:40 First of all it's a distraction,
08:41 second of all there's always the risk that that could be potentially breaking,
08:44 but all in all though it's a really nice looking Sam.
08:47 Once again to bring back in the other Sam's that we've already had a look at,
08:50 there is again that also sitting Sam,
08:52 which we haven't yet looked at here on this channel,
08:54 but I certainly would like to pick up at some point from,
08:56 "Hey why not, another excuse to go to my spirit Halloween."
08:58 As all of these are shaking their heads,
09:00 you can really see again the attention to detail that Royal Bobbles puts into all of these pieces.
09:05 Whether you're a Sam's for example,
09:07 or you're just the bagged kid Bagwell,
09:09 carrying around, walking around in his 50 pound rice bag.
09:12 I still don't understand how somebody could eat 50 pounds of rice.
09:15 But all in all though again,
09:16 like if you guys are celebrating the spooky season of Halloween,
09:19 or why not even have these displayed all year round.
09:22 They're great little pieces to be putting on the shelf.
09:25 Whenever I am hitting the spirit Halloween store,
09:27 which I'm disappointed this year,
09:28 in fact I'm actually only counting on one hand the number of times I've hit the store,
09:32 and being that we're well now into October,
09:34 that number should have at least been doubled.
09:36 If I go by the records of my earlier years,
09:38 I've gone to at least the other Halloween stores,
09:40 spirit Halloween last year probably like,
09:42 I think 12 times,
09:43 it might have even been more than that.
09:45 I had the benefit that spirit Halloween was so close to my house,
09:47 I literally could have just walked there if I wanted to.
09:50 But only counting sadly on one hand this year,
09:52 the things that I always check out though in spirit Halloween stores are in this order,
09:55 the latex masks always at the back of the stores,
09:58 always usually like the back left hand corner.
10:00 I check to see what they have for new offerings for Ghostface,
10:03 and also as well for Michael Myers.
10:05 But on the way there,
10:06 as I'm heading to the back of the store,
10:08 I always go to like the mid area,
10:09 it's just kind of usually behind the cash register.
10:12 They have a wall,
10:13 I don't know why I'm like I'm picturing this all in my head right now,
10:15 but just behind the cash register,
10:18 they usually have like about a four foot high shelf,
10:20 and then displayed along the top of it are all the Royal Bobble Bobbleheads.
10:24 In the earlier years,
10:25 in fact like last year for example,
10:27 I grabbed the Pretty Woman Leatherface,
10:29 and I also as well grabbed the Ghostface.
10:31 I'm not sure what else they're going to still have there,
10:33 because of course it seems to be always the case that the Bobbleheads are the ones that sell out right away.
10:37 The Michael Myers are the ones that always seem to sell out the first,
10:40 and then of course from that it always seems to be the same.
10:43 Whether in fact they will have this version of Sam,
10:45 time will only tell.
10:46 I will be going to Spirit Halloween,
10:48 in fact the day I'm shooting this video,
10:50 I will be going there this afternoon.
10:51 I'll see if they still have this Sam available,
10:54 but I would at some point,
10:56 I'd love to be able to get myself a masked version of Sam,
10:58 so I can have the various stages of degrade when it comes to his mask.
11:01 A regular canvas mask or burlap sack mask Sam,
11:05 then the one that's partially ripped for the lollipop stab,
11:08 and then this one, the unmasked version of Sam,
11:10 would like to have these all out for Halloween.
11:12 Now of course we can't also forget about a Baghead,
11:15 or what was it, Bagwell Bobblehead,
11:17 the paper bag kid,
11:19 that's also going to be displayed on the shelf as well.
11:21 The thing I really like again about the Bobbleheads,
11:23 is the quality of care,
11:24 the attention to detail that they put into all these Bobbleheads.
11:27 They're made of course of resin,
11:28 so along with that you're going to have the cautionary tale of,
11:30 handling these with care.
11:32 You don't want any of these to be breaking potentially,
11:34 but I mean really if you get the chance to grab one of these,
11:37 it's really a spectacular thing to have on display,
11:40 especially for Halloween.
11:41 Last year in fact,
11:43 I had a Michael Myers,
11:45 and I had a couple of other things,
11:46 I have to say like my my mantle last year,
11:49 was very modest when it came to displaying anything,
11:51 really Halloween related.
11:52 I had a few little lights,
11:53 I had a few little smaller Jack-o-lanterns.
11:55 I plan to up the ante,
11:56 I think when it comes to displaying things this year,
11:58 by putting out not only this Sam,
12:00 but the other earlier looked at Trick-or-Treat Bobbleheads,
12:02 we also looked at in the earlier reviews as well.
12:04 What do you guys think though of unmasked Sam?
12:07 Let me know down below in the comments section,
12:08 and have you been collecting any of the Royal Bobbleheads?
12:12 And another question,
12:13 if you don't mind me throwing it out,
12:14 I'm throwing all these questions in this video.
12:16 If you don't mind me also asking,
12:17 if you have a Spirit Halloween store in your area,
12:20 how many times a minute,
12:21 how many times this year,
12:22 have you already checked out the store?
12:24 I'm on sitting on three right now,
12:26 I'm going to be going for my fourth this afternoon,
12:28 but how many times have you gone to Spirit Halloween?
12:30 Let me know down below in the comments section.
12:32 Once again though,
12:33 a big thank you to the folks over at Royal Bobbles,
12:34 that did come through and provide the sample,
12:36 of the new Trick-or-Treat Unmasked Sam Bobblehead,
12:38 that we had the chance to have a look at this review.
12:40 If you guys enjoyed this video,
12:41 I want to hit with a like.
12:42 If you guys are loving the content,
12:43 you guys are seeing,
12:44 and don't mind,
12:45 if you want to certainly stick around for more,
12:47 I'd like to think that you will be,
12:48 hit that screaming subscribe button down below,
12:50 I'd like to,
12:51 hopefully it's not screaming.
12:52 Sorry, what?
12:53 Charlie, the ghost was just whispering something in my ear.
12:56 Yes, yes, Charlie.
12:57 In fact, we will be looking at more spooky related videos.
13:00 Hey, thank you for reminding me.
13:02 It's all,
13:03 you all know how to read the script there, Charlie.
13:05 But yeah,
13:06 we will be definitely looking at some more spooky related videos,
13:08 in the coming weeks,
13:09 of course,
13:10 leading up to the end of October or spot-tober,
13:11 as we certainly like to call it here on this channel.
13:13 So it's definitely gonna be a lot more spooky related videos coming your way.
13:15 But if you are wanting to still get a fix,
13:17 when it comes to Royal Bauble,
13:18 Bauble heads,
13:19 popping up also at the very end,
13:20 this video will be a playlist of other things I've looked at from Royal Baubles.
13:24 Of course, as always, guys,
13:25 thanks for watching.
13:26 See you guys next time.
