00:00School may be out but the slashers are in. What's inside the horror pack? The monthly horror movie subscription service.
00:14If I am looking at my expired calendar correctly, it is telling me that it's June. It's also telling me as well that now school is out.
00:20Kids that have been going to school this last year or so are all now planning to see what they're going to be doing this summer.
00:25Maybe going away to visit family, maybe going to camp. For the rest of us though, it's just like every other day.
00:30We're still going to be going back to work though at the beginning of the week and that's just going to continue until the day we retire.
00:36Don't retire yet the idea of collecting physical media. Oh no! What you could do instead is subscribe to the horror pack.
00:42What exactly is the horror pack? Let me break down the 4-1-1 to you.
00:46Every single month, deliver to your doorstep a selection of four titles. Four. Sometimes there's more but for the most part it's four.
00:54Either horror DVDs or horror Blu-rays. You can also opt as well to have both.
00:59I always tend to say that but sometimes there are DVDs after all that have yet been released in a Blu-ray or 4k format.
01:05Can you think of any? Let me know down below. I'm thinking of Witchboard 3.
01:08Witchboard 3 has not yet gotten a Blu-ray or 4k release and I probably am the only one that has any interest in Witchboard 3.
01:15What I do also have interest in is reaching off to the side here, going through my pile of garbage and grabbing over here Chet Cunnington.
01:22No, it's not Chet Cunnington. He's retired. Speaking of retired, Chet retired a long time ago.
01:27This is McCutcheon's. McCutcheon's my new knife.
01:29We're going to slice carefully the side of the bag and we're going to release the contents inside.
01:35Let me know down below in the comments section.
01:37Oh, I almost poked myself.
01:38Let me know down below in the comments section if you've now obviously finished up school what your plans will be for the summer season.
01:46And also let me know down below in the comments section if you have been out of school for a while and you're just planning to go back to work.
01:51Just dreading the whole idea that Monday's going to roll around again and you're going to be going back, packing up your lunch, packing up your stuff,
01:56kissing your family goodbye as they celebrate the summer season and you'll be trotting your way back to work.
02:01That's going to be me.
02:02The first item we have inside this bag is Pig starring Nicolas Cage.
02:07I'll tell you right away, I've not seen this movie, but I've heard good things of it.
02:11It's brutal, it's elegant, and it's captivating, says Chicago Sun-Times.
02:15On the back of the package, back of the case here, a truffle hunter played by Nicolas Cage who lives alone in the Aragonian.
02:25It's probably the first and might be this the last time I'm ever going to say that word.
02:28Wilderness must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she's kidnapped.
02:35According to this, it's the best work Nicolas Cage has ever done.
02:40That's a tall feat to say.
02:42I mean, considering the works that Nicolas Cage has done.
02:44Vampire's Kiss is pretty high on his works.
02:47But have you seen Pig?
02:49Pig also includes bonus features.
02:51Nicolas Cage cooks the three mushroom tarts Pigeon and Pomme Anna.
02:55Anna? Anna?
02:56It says Pomme Anna.
02:58There's also deleted scenes.
03:00This was released in 2021.
03:02The runtime for this is digestible.
03:04It's only 92 minutes.
03:06Have you seen Pig?
03:07Let me know down below.
03:08The next title we're going to pull out happens to also have a slip.
03:11It is The Call starring...
03:13Oh, I wanted to see this one.
03:15I wanted to see this one.
03:17And not only did I want to see this one, but I'm happy to see as well that it actually has itself a slip cover.
03:22It stars Lin Shay from...
03:23Obviously, you guys know her from the Insidious film.
03:25She was also as well the teacher from the original Nightmare on Elm Street.
03:29Tobin Bell, we all know from Saw.
03:31And Chester Russian.
03:32I have no idea who that is.
03:33An eerie throwback to 80s horror.
03:35I'm a little bummed by the idea.
03:37It's got a little crease on the corner.
03:39But the fact it does actually have ourselves a slip.
03:41Oh, I'm already excited.
03:43From the creator of Final Destination, Lin Shay and Tobin Bell star in this terrifying tale of death from the fall of 1987.
03:51After a tragic accident, a group of small-town friends must survive the night in a home of sinister couple.
03:57One by one, the worst nightmares quickly become reality as they enter the realm of The Call.
04:02I feel like it has something to do with answering a phone.
04:04By also the fact that there's a guy down below.
04:07I'm guessing this is Chester Russian.
04:09He's actually answering the phone.
04:10Tells us nothing.
04:11Nothing at all about this movie.
04:13It says,
04:14Four friends.
04:15One phone call.
04:1660 seconds.
04:17Stay alive.
04:18Special features include the answering of The Call.
04:19Or answering The Call.
04:20Deleted scenes.
04:21Edith needs medication.
04:23Edith needs medication.
04:25High school is so cool.
04:27The run time for this is 97 minutes.
04:30The release date for this is 2020.
04:32So we're tracking back like, what?
04:34Four years ago.
04:35The Call.
04:36And it also comes included with a slip.
04:38Looking forward to that.
04:40The next title we have inside is,
04:42The Girl Who Cried Her Eyes Out.
04:44It's a horror pack.
04:45Limited edition.
04:46Blu-ray.
04:47These would be one of those titles that I would hope wouldn't be misleading.
04:50If this girl hasn't cried at all her eyes out during this movie, I'm going to say that the movie was misled.
04:55On the back,
04:56It says,
04:57When a group of friends sneak into a state park for a night of drinking and partying,
05:00a cruel dare brings Maddie, played by Mary Blake, face to face with the disturbed spirit of young Caroline Woodman,
05:07played by Haley Ruth Jacobs of Poker Face,
05:10the forced legendary girl who cried her eyes out.
05:15None are safe, as one by one they suffer the wrath of Caroline's vengeance.
05:19Time is running out and the bodies are piling up.
05:22How do they stop a 300-year-old spirit that cannot be killed?
05:27Hmm.
05:28Seems very interesting.
05:29These special features include the behind-the-scenes video clips,
05:34666,
05:35a short film,
05:36theatrical trailer,
05:375.1 surround sound,
05:39and 2.0 stereo sound.
05:41Now, see if I can actually find where this was released.
05:45Hmm?
05:47Hmm?
05:48I don't see anything.
05:50You see anything?
05:51Probably would be easier to see if I had my finger out of the way.
05:54No, I don't see anything.
05:56So I have no idea.
05:57I have no idea when this was released.
05:58If you know, let me know down below.
06:00And the last title we have in what has already been a pretty decent horror pack.
06:05The last title we're going to pull out here happens to be
06:09Blood from the Mummy's Tomb.
06:12Hmm.
06:13Interesting.
06:14This is a Hammer production.
06:15A severed hand beckons from an open grave.
06:18Just recently, in fact, I had a look at the Trick or Treat Studios,
06:21the Dracula,
06:22and we also looked at the Curse of Frankenstein creature.
06:25So that's right up my alley.
06:26On the back.
06:27Now, this probably was recently released.
06:29No, 1972.
06:31This actually kind of looks like a fairly new image,
06:33but it's 1972 and a running time of 94 minutes.
06:36I have to kind of back it back a bit.
06:38Very engaging, quite fulfilling.
06:40It pulls you in,
06:41and you can't help but find yourself entranced by all.
06:45A British expedition in Egypt discovers the ancient sealed tomb of an evil Queen Tara.
06:50But one of the archaeologists steals a mysterious ring from the corpse severed hand.
06:54He unleashes a relentless curse upon his beautiful daughter.
06:57Is this voluptuous young woman now a reincarnation of the diabolical sorceress?
07:02Or has the curse of the mummy returned to reveal a horrific revenge?
07:07Starring Andrew Keir of Quartermass and the Pits,
07:10and the beautiful Valerie Leon.
07:12Now, I'm not saying that.
07:13That's actually what it says here on the back.
07:15From the spy who loved me.
07:16Starring the supernatural shocker based on Bram Stoker's classic novel,
07:20The Jewel of the Seven Stars.
07:23Special features include presenting in two aspect ratios,
07:261.66.1, or 1, and 185.1.
07:31New interviews with sound recordist Tony Dawe,
07:36so it would be Dawe, I think it would be Dawe,
07:38and camera operator Neil Binney.
07:41A new audio commentary by author, film historian Steve Haberman,
07:46The Pharaoh's Curse, Inside Blood from the Mummy's Tomb.
07:49Interviews with star Valerie Leon and writer Christopher Wicking.
07:53The optical trailer, TV spot, radio spots, and still gallery.
07:57Makes no sense at all to point out the fact that this was already released in 1972,
08:01because I had already said that,
08:03and you'll be happy to know as well,
08:05it's a very digestible 94 minutes.
08:09What a good selection of titles this time around.
08:12Looking through these backwards,
08:13the last one we got was The Blood from the Mummy's Tomb.
08:16Have you seen it? Let me know.
08:17The Girl Who Cried Her Eyes Out,
08:19and I hope there's going to be some substantial crying.
08:22The Call.
08:23And we also got ourselves Pig.
08:26If you guys are interested,
08:27perhaps not being able to get the chance to get these titles,
08:30but certainly if you guys are interested,
08:31and would like to get a selection of four horror titles every single month,
08:35thrown to your doorstep,
08:36casually placed on your doorstep,
08:38then you can click the link down below in the video description.
08:40If you guys though did have seen any of these movies,
08:43any of these movies at all,

08:46and which one of these are good.
08:48If you guys also as well enjoyed this video,
08:50I want to throw it a like.

08:52And also, hey, if you guys did want to stick around for more,
08:54we are also going to be doing some other stuff on this channel for the remainder of this week.
08:58So making sure you're coming back for regular stuff.
09:00That stuff may involve you hitting that subscribe.
09:03It may also involve you turning on the bell notification.
09:06Those two things will ensure at least that the person behind the camera
09:09that's throwing these things up regularly,
09:11you're going to be the person on the other side of the screen,
09:13catching it with your butterfly net.
09:15And hopefully I'll hope to catch you guys here again.
09:18As always, thanks for watching.
09:19See you guys next time.
