00:13 >> I mean, it's just how it is.
00:14 We're just playing football.
00:15 I mean, nothing's personal out there.
00:17 It makes practice a little more intense, so I kinda like it.
00:19 But other than that, it's nothing personal.
00:21 >> We talked to Adkins yesterday.
00:22 He mentioned that you're getting more comfortable in offense,
00:24 knowing the whys.
00:26 How's that transition been to understand the offense?
00:28 You didn't get a 33 yard catch last week, so how are you growing in offense?
00:32 >> I think, just like he said, I mean, just being able to really understand why
00:36 we're doing this stuff really helps you transition what you're doing on the field.
00:39 Cuz if you understand why you're doing it,
00:40 then you can really realize leverages and stuff like that.
00:43 It all starts to click and flow a lot better.
00:45 >> It seems like a lot of tight ends don't get the opportunity to make catches down
00:49 the field like that.
00:49 Is that something this offense kinda brings?
00:53 >> For sure.
00:53 I think over, I mean, we've seen over the past games,
00:56 we've had some pretty significant catches down the field.
00:59 So I think definitely this offense features a tight end that way very well.
01:03 >> Seems like pass blocking has been a real strength of the offense
01:06 the last few weeks.
01:07 What do you think's improved as the year's gone on?
01:09 >> I think just getting everybody on the same page and
01:11 comfortable with everybody's running the exact same play.
01:14 Cuz that's been a little bit of an issue for us in past games,
01:17 was everybody wasn't on the same page.
01:19 So when we get everybody on the same page,
01:20 then everything just flows a lot better.
01:22 >> When you and Jakee started games together,
01:24 what kind of different look does that give the defense?
01:26 What do you guys kinda bring together on the field?
01:28 >> Yeah, I mean, I think we both do both jobs really well.
01:31 I mean, actually all three really, we can pass it in the run game and
01:35 in the pass game, both of us can.
01:37 So that's hard for defense to scheme up against when we can both go out on
01:40 out routes or we can stay in and run block.
01:43 It brings a lot of different dynamics to the game.
01:45 >> Looking forward to going up to pit, have you been able to look at much film of
01:50 them yet?
01:51 >> We have, yeah.
01:53 >> What have you seen from their defense?
01:54 >> I mean, they're a solid defense.
01:56 They play some different looks at defensive end and stuff.
01:59 So we're getting used to that right now in practice.
02:01 But just like every other week, we see what we got, we prepare for it, and
02:05 then we're ready on Saturday.
02:06 >> Coming from an EU school, being able to go play in the NFL stadium,
02:10 what kind of, how exciting is that for you?
02:12 >> Super exciting, I'm super pumped, ready to go up there.
02:14 It's gonna be a cool experience.
02:15 >> Have you been there before?
02:16 >> Never been there, no.
02:17 >> What, obviously, I think the Steelers played Thursday.
02:20 So what have you guys talked about having what that field's gonna look like when
02:24 you get up there?
02:24 >> Yeah, there's been a little bit of talks.
02:26 We got some different cleats on for practice today and stuff.
02:29 So we're preparing and getting ready for it.
02:31 >> Coach said he hasn't mentioned once probably rankings or
02:35 the playoffs and stuff like that.
02:38 But he knows you guys will see stuff.
02:40 Will it matter to you whatever you guys are ranked?
02:42 The college will want rankings to come out?
02:45 >> I think, I mean, it's a good thing to have in mind, but
02:47 it's not gonna affect how we approach the next week.
02:49 We take it week at a time and that's all that really matters,
02:51 just getting that win on Saturday.
02:53 >> What was it like seeing all the Florida State fans up in Winston-Salem?
02:57 >> It was so cool.
02:58 I mean, just going out there and running out in the stadium and seeing that whole
03:01 side of the stadium just filled with Florida State fans.
03:02 I mean, the love is real.
03:03 And it's cool how everybody travels.
03:06 >> Do you guys like it when you guys, when the situation happens where
03:10 the student section kind of left after the first half and come back?
03:13 Do you guys like it when the student section is just completely silent and
03:15 they're there?
03:16 >> Yeah, I mean, I think it's cool,
03:17 especially when you're in a visiting stadium like that.
03:20 And you make plays and it just goes kind of silent, on their side at least.
03:24 I mean, that's cool and you're doing good when that happens.
03:28 >> You guys were down three receivers last week.
03:30 Did the tight end room feel like they kind of had to pick up for
03:32 the guys that weren't there?
03:33 >> I don't know if it was as much that, but it's just like we knew we had to go out
03:37 there and do our job, whether we were incorporated more because of that,
03:40 was another thing.
03:41 But I mean, we just got there and do our job every play, that's really it.
