00:00 How did it feel to have a career high five stops, particularly against that team in that center?
00:04 I felt great. You know, I was definitely needed. It was a big game.
00:08 All the outside noise and everything, so I felt like it was my time to step up and everything.
00:14 So, you know, I gave my best and showed effort.
00:17 What did that win mean to your room, given two years ago and given what those two games were?
00:22 Two years ago.
00:23 Yeah, it meant a lot. You know, that game is based off who wins the line of scrimmage.
00:27 You know, I felt like we definitely won a line of scrimmage, stopping the run and everything,
00:32 then having the perimeter guys coming up to step up as well.
00:35 Cal runs a significant amount of RPOs. How difficult is that to defend from your position?
00:42 That's always difficult to stop RPOs because, you know, you don't know what you're going to get.
00:50 I feel like our scout team is giving us the best that we could get.
00:54 So, you know, just every day in practice, watching film and trying to see the best advantage we could get.
01:00 What do you make of Jay Nott, too? I'm not 100% sure of the player, but what do you make of him as a player?
01:05 Um, explosive. You know, be able to be patient.
01:08 Runs with square shoulders. You know, could get on the second level really fast.
01:13 Do you guys feel like the defensive run put on film is some of its best work?
01:18 And is that maybe a measuring stick going forward of living up to that standard?
01:22 Yeah, I definitely feel like we haven't really reached our mark either.
01:25 There's a lot of room to improve, you know, within the pass game and the run game.
01:30 So I feel like we could take the next level and improve it each and every week.
01:35 You've trained with Brandon in the offseason the past couple of years.
01:39 What's different about him this year where he's even more disruptive on a consistent basis?
01:44 Just him watching film a lot more.
01:47 You know, he always be telling me that he'd be doing that, doing the extra stuff.
01:50 Um, just putting in the work.
01:53 You know, he's an older guy, so he's already familiar with the scheme,
01:57 the formations and all that.
01:58 So he's really taking it to another level.
