00:00 your body that better, that stronger, how has it changed for you?
00:03 >> It's changed very good for me, but I'm still improving.
00:07 At the same time, just me being able to, a lot of people really want to see
00:12 how I play the run, how physical I am with blockers,
00:16 just getting blockers in and moving them out of the way.
00:19 It has been a good transition for me, especially in the spring,
00:22 cuz that was one of my main goals in the spring.
00:24 Just look totally, even when I changed my number,
00:27 just look totally different from 50 seats.
00:30 You never know, just like a different player, a better player.
00:32 That's what I feel I've been trying to do.
00:34 >> With regards to being physical player on the field,
00:36 you said you feel like it's been a constant improvement in the season.
00:39 >> That's right, every week I feel like I've been getting better from there.
00:45 Unless you go to the ball, watch your field, watch myself on the field,
00:49 you look like I just play better, play harder, play faster.
00:52 Cuz at the beginning of the season, it was more of just sort of,
00:55 I started to get ready to make plays, where you kinda get away from just playing
00:59 hard, cuz that's what's gotten me the direction.
01:02 I was just playing hard, and just make the plays when they come to me.
01:05 That's what's been helping me, just playing hard.
01:07 >> What do that mean in particular, offensively?
01:10 >> They do a lot of trying to run the ball a lot, like every team in college.
01:17 They're gonna try to establish the run early, and
01:19 they feel like they can establish it, they're gonna keep doing it.
01:21 If they can't, we make them one division,
01:23 we make them throw the ball every play, make a let out the line rush.
01:26 And people let out the line rush, so it's gonna be very hard for people.
01:31 But they have a good team, despite their record and stuff.
01:36 >> Coach called today's practice feisty, but controlled passion.
01:39 What are you trying to bring today in down?
01:41 >> Just me being passionate about football.
01:44 I've been playing football since four years old, so it's like,
01:47 you're gonna lose a couple of reps, you're not gonna win every record.
01:51 All these guys with a scholarship, too, they were saying they got here the same
01:55 way you got here.
01:55 Everybody had a different path, but everybody here.
01:59 And that's just us being physical.
02:01 We had a week eight of the season, and we're still out there getting fights.
02:04 We're still out there trying to push each other to be great.
02:07 But we're never gonna need that once it comes Saturday, and we all become one.
02:10 And out here, we're not divided, but we divided out here.
02:14 >> You really don't like losing matches, though, man.
02:16 What is it about like- >> It's always been like that with me.
02:20 It's just playing the games, playing anything.
02:23 It's just like losing never has set well, because really, my high school career,
02:28 I never made it past second round of playoffs, really.
02:31 So it's like I got so used to it, really.
02:35 Never won a state championship, nothing, so I just get tired of it.
02:38 >> And when you watch the college football,
02:40 how do you feel about that?
02:40 You're running out to the state, and that's that one.
02:42 >> It's like, I don't know.
02:44 It's good for us to be ranked where we ranked, but
02:48 at the same time, it ain't gonna matter to us.
02:51 I mean, this season, when it's time for the 14th play, they gonna hire the 14s.
02:55 It don't matter who ranked what right now,
02:57 cuz whoever ranked this right now could lose if he ranks on that play.
03:01 So it really feels like that.
03:03 >> Coach said that you guys don't look the number next to your names,
03:06 defined who you are.
03:07 But you committed to this team when things didn't look all that great, man.
03:11 So I mean, is there any kind of enjoyment in that tonight?
03:14 >> I remember my first year, I had my first ever interview.
03:19 And one of the things they asked me, which one do I floor the state?
03:22 I always said, my first thing I said was,
03:25 just try to be a part of bringing Florida State back.
03:29 Me saying like 10 years down the road,
03:31 when we have a, God willing, have a national championship on that wall,
03:36 I could be like 10 years from now, I'd be like, I had a big role in that.
03:39 Everybody had a big role in that, but
03:41 I know I played a triple and contributed to it.
03:45 >> Will you check social media to see where you guys, I mean,
03:47 I know you're not gonna watch it, but
03:48 will you check Twitter or your Instagram to see what's going on?
03:51 >> No, yeah, you go see it.
03:53 When you look on Instagram, Twitter, you go see it.
03:55 It's cool to see it, but it's nothing really.
03:58 >> What's going down for Halloween, man?
04:01 You got a costume picked out or anything?
04:03 >> Nah, I'm practicing tomorrow.
04:04 >> [LAUGH] >> There's a little girl,
04:06 we're working on something, I'll be ready for that.
04:09 >> Candy corn?
04:10 >> No. >> You don't like candy corn, y'all?
04:11 >> No. >> That's right.
04:12 >> Little Twix sneakers, I bought it at Big Man.
