Doncaster Free Press Daily Bulletin with Stephanie Bateman - Wednesday, October 25, 2023
Transcript
00:00 Good morning everybody, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Wednesday, October the 25th.
00:04 Here are the headlines this morning for you. Our monthly roundup of the most wanted men and women from South Yorkshire Police went online yesterday.
00:15 That's doing very well this morning. There's 20 people on that list who the police are trying to track down for a number of criminal charges.
00:26 So that's doing really well today. Then last night, in the space of about an hour, I put up a couple of road traffic collision stories.
00:35 One with regards to an RTC on the M18 motorway. I understand that two lanes were closed last night while they dealt with the collision.
00:49 Still waiting to hear back from the emergency services about what that entailed. I'll update you on the details of that when I get more information.
00:57 Also, a little bit close to the city, another road was closed. We have a couple of pictures that people have sent in.
01:06 Another collision with a vehicle and a first responder ambulance apparently. Again, we're just waiting to hear more about that.
01:14 Hopefully there's no serious injuries in either of those incidents, but we'll update you when we can.
01:21 What else have we got? Following on from Storm Bobette, obviously we had some more severe rainfall yesterday.
01:30 We've had a warning from the British Pest Control Association for people to be aware that when floods occur, it tends to flush out rats onto the streets,
01:42 which is very unpleasant, I'm sure. So just a warning about that and some preventative measures. So that's worth a read as well.
01:51 So for all those stories and for anything else that's happening in Doncaster today, just visit the website, which is www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk.
02:00 And of course, you can keep up to date on X and Facebook throughout the day. Hope you have a great Wednesday.
