00:17 is one of the flagship programs of the government
00:20 that was started last July in Tondo.
00:22 It will continue until the middle of next year.
00:26 According to DSWD Undersecretary Eduardo Punay,
00:30 the data they get from the program is of great help,
00:34 especially when they are addressing the primary needs
00:37 of Filipino families.
00:39 The program has an allocation of P3,000 per family.
00:43 Half of it can be used to buy carbohydrates
00:47 like rice and bread.
00:49 The remaining amount
00:51 is for buying food with protein, fruits, and vegetables.
00:55 Punay added that even though P3,000 is not that much,
00:58 DSWD is willing to help
01:01 so that the beneficiaries won't just pass through the program.
01:05 The government has limited resources.
01:08 This is just a supplementary meal.
01:13 We only provide one meal per day to DSWD
01:16 in this program
01:17 because we cannot provide three meals in a day.
01:21 And we don't do that because that would
01:23 We have anti-medicancy.
