00:00 And we go now to our correspondent Noor Hazen, who's at the Rafah border, with the latest
00:05 updates from the region.
00:06 Let's listen.
00:07 So, we are actually at the front gate of the Rafah border between Egypt and Gaza.
00:14 And even though Egypt said that they will reopen the Rafah border today, Friday, to
00:19 allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, however, the border is closed until now.
00:29 This has happened before.
00:30 During the week, Egypt repeatedly said that they will be opening the Rafah border to allow
00:36 medical supplies and food supplies to enter the Gaza Strip.
00:41 However, until this moment, the border is closed.
00:45 We're talking about around 20 to 30 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid for the people
00:51 of Gaza, especially that the Gaza Strip is suffering a dire need of especially water,
00:59 canned food, milk, flour, bread.
01:01 And also the hospitals are actually suffering the lack of medicine and medical supplies
01:07 that they started to treat people on the floors of the hospital.
01:15 They started also the doctors to just treat people with only moderate to serious injuries.
01:22 Those with minor injuries, they just do some stitches and some bandages, and that's it.
01:28 There is actually no one here but media crews, let's say, and journalists.
01:35 There's no people, there's no workers.
01:39 It's totally quiet here.
