00:00 On Thursday, Congress released the second list of candidates for the upcoming Madhya
00:05 Pradesh election.
00:06 The election in the BJP-led state is scheduled on November 17 and with the issue of the list,
00:12 the Congress Party has declared all of its candidates for elections to the 230-member
00:16 assembly.
00:17 The Samajwadi Party or SP has also announced its third list of two candidates for the upcoming
00:23 Madhya Pradesh assembly elections amid strained ties with its India-grouping ally Congress
00:28 over the formation of an alliance in the state.
00:31 The SP brought out the list on Thursday night.
00:34 With this, it has announced 33 candidates for the November 17 polls to the 230 assembly
00:38 in the BJP-governed state.
00:40 "The list that you have released in Madhya Pradesh, Congress is saying that they have
00:47 no land.
00:48 Look, who is saying Congress or any party, India-grouping, we must have got confused.
00:53 If we are sitting in those meetings, we must be confused.
00:57 That's why the person you are talking about, I don't know who is talking about this kind
01:02 of a person from the Congress Party.
01:04 I thought that when the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh was there, he called a meeting
01:11 and asked the SP.
01:13 We told him our entire performance, at what time the SP's leaders won, sometimes one
01:20 won, sometimes two won, sometimes five won and at what place we were at number two.
01:27 The whole discussion took place and the SP's leaders were awakened till 1 am and they discussed
01:34 the whole thing.
01:35 They looked at the whole figures and assured that we will think about six seats.
01:41 But when the result came, the SP was not listening."
01:45 With less than a month to go for the polls, in Chhattisgarh, Union Minister Amit Shah
01:54 has accused the Congress government in the state of multiple scams and diversion of central
01:58 funds allegedly to help the Congress Party in Delhi.
02:01 Calling the CM Bhupesh Bagel's government the ATM of Congress, Shah said that the state
02:06 and the government exchequer are being used as a money-vending machine.
02:09 The upcoming election in Chhattisgarh stands unique this poll season for many reasons.
02:13 Of the states going to polls in November, Chhattisgarh is the only state to have a schedule
02:17 for two-phase election while the others have a single-phase voting.
02:20 In Mizoram, the ruling Mizo National Front or MNF has announced the name of candidates
02:26 for all the 40 assembly seats.
02:28 The MNF list of candidates includes two women and 15 new faces.
02:32 Mizoram is all set to witness an intense electoral contest between the ruling MNF which is led
02:36 by CM Zoram Thanga, opposition party Zoram People's Movement or ZPM and the Congress.
02:41 They may get one or two seats, the Congress, and at the same time they may be nil also.
02:51 There is that possibility.
02:53 The biggest challenge is ZPM, Zoram People's Movement.
02:59 And, well, I do not know.
03:02 I think, I wonder whether they will cross ten or more.
03:08 They may be less than ten also.
03:11 So, it will be round about those.
