00:00 Let's go.
00:01 Let's go.
00:02 Let's go.
00:03 Let's go.
00:04 Okay, all right, hold on.
00:05 You got your instructions in the dressing room.
00:06 This is a ten-round fight for the USBA title.
00:07 I want you to protect yourself at all times.
00:08 At all times, I want you to obey my command.
00:09 Touch gloves, back to your corners.
00:10 We always talk about belts don't matter, but when it's a regional belt, Tim, it gets you
00:25 closer to your world championship dream.
00:27 And that's what Keyshawn Davis feels he's ready for in his tenth professional fight.
00:32 Absolutely, and he's a match tough.
00:35 Wu is not a slouch.
00:36 He has came into this match with some good fighters on his record.
00:44 And the last guy he faced was Carlos Balderas.
00:50 And you know, he's on a run of competitive and tough fights.
00:53 He upset Balderas, the Olympian.
00:56 He beat Esquiva Falcao, Steven Falcao, who is 11-0.
01:00 He lost to Jermaine Ortiz, who was 14-0-1.
01:03 Ortiz gave Lomo all he could handle.
01:06 He beat Michael Deutschhofer, who was 15-1.
01:08 His last five opponents are 69-3-1.
01:11 And now they say, all right, take on the kid who many believe is the future of the lightweight
01:17 division.
01:18 And here he is in against Keyshawn Davis.
01:21 Wu doing that stab jab down to the body.
01:25 Right hand over the top.
01:27 Just wait for it.
01:28 You know, right now, Keyshawn is not choosing to throw it just yet.
01:31 He's still trying to find his range, calculating that, trying to adjust to the speed of Wu.
01:36 But sooner or later, there was the right hand right there.
01:38 Just missed off the mark.
01:39 A little double flick with the right hand from Keyshawn Davis.
01:42 You see the speed.
01:44 There's power behind that as well from the Tokyo Olympian silver medalist.
01:52 You see the pink and white trunks that Keyshawn is wearing.
01:56 They're in honor of his grandmother, Jackie, who passed away from breast cancer.
02:01 So he's bringing that to light in her memory.
02:04 It's got quotes from the members of his family and what Jackie, his grandma, meant to all
02:13 those young men and women who she raised.
02:16 See the speed.
02:19 Once again, just quick hands from Keyshawn Davis.
02:23 Nice left from Nahir Albright.
02:25 Albright's getting off to a quick start.
02:31 He's not slitting back on allowing Keyshawn to get comfortable.
02:34 He's trying to make him uncomfortable.
02:35 And he's not allowing him to counter.
02:38 He saw the right hand was going to come and Woos did a great job just stepping inside
02:43 the pocket to cover himself.
02:52 This is a great step up fight for a fighter like Keyshawn Davis because he's in there
02:58 with an athletic fighter who's got quick hands as well, who has an answer for everything
03:04 that Davis wants to throw.
03:06 But that overhand right from Davis found a home on the chin of Albright.
03:17 Good exchanges here early on in the first round between Davis and Albright.
03:22 A lot of respect for each other's speed and power as this fight opens up our fight card
03:31 as we lead into our middleweight main event, which will feature a world title unification
03:38 between the Boogeyman, Zanabek Alimhanala and Vincenzo Gualtieri, newly minted IBF champion.
03:45 He won his title against the Southpaw.
03:47 Tim, what do you expect from tonight's main event?
03:48 Look, I'm just going to tell you this.
03:50 Just because you are a champion doesn't make you a great fighter.
03:54 You know, I studied both these men tonight and I can just tell you this.
03:58 One of these fighters tonight is full gold and we're going to find out.
04:03 Middleweight is supposed to be one of boxing's glamour divisions, fellas.
04:08 Obviously, it's not.
04:09 But by the end of tonight, you'll have a unified champ.
04:12 The question is, can he become a star?
04:15 Zanabek's going out about this the right way.
04:18 I'm not just going to knock him out.
04:19 He says, you're here for the knockout of the year, fellas.
04:23 And here on the ring, we have on our Gennady Golovkin, the former unified champion,
04:28 the last middleweight to unify the belts.
04:30 He's 41 years old.
04:32 Canelo Alvarez and Demetrius Andre are now up at 168.
04:36 Jermall Charlo is inactive.
04:38 An opportunity for either Zanabek Alimhanala or Vincenzo Gualtieri to become the new face
04:45 of the middleweight division in tonight's main event.
04:49 See, Wu is hard to read.
04:52 A nice jab.
04:55 He's changing levels with the jab, coming up and also downstairs with it.
05:00 But see those subtle feints right there as the young Keishon Davis, a little tentative
05:08 and not sure when to punch.
05:10 And you see the physical strength of Nahir Albright, bringing down Davis, standing his
05:16 ground.
05:17 What do you have to do against a young fighter with the skill and the moxie of Keishon Davis?
05:25 Yeah, you don't want him to get comfortable.
05:27 You want to keep him uncomfortable all the time.
05:31 You know, and if you can get him defensive, he's not throwing punches, then how the heck
05:34 is he going to be able to win rounds?
05:35 You can't win rounds just with defense.
05:37 You saw Keishon Davis take a peek up.
05:41 There's a giant screen behind us.
05:44 Fighters have a tendency, Tim, of wanting to look at themselves, do what they're doing
05:49 in the ring.
05:50 Ooh, nice right hand over the top right there.
05:52 Just beautiful timing right there, catching Wu as he was stepping right onto his front
05:55 foot to engage.
05:56 A nice short right hand over the top.
05:59 Another one from Keishon Davis.
06:01 The reason that Nahir Albright is nicknamed Wu is because when he was in the gym and fighting
06:05 in the amateurs, he would do stuff that left people saying, "Woo!"
06:09 So that's how he got his nickname.
06:12 The businessman Keishon Davis, his nickname is because he's all about making money in
06:17 the ring and becoming the next American superstar at lightweight, which is loaded with talent.
06:23 Well, Keishon is all about control, too.
06:26 He likes to control every scenario inside the ring.
06:29 He fights when he wants to fight.
06:30 Just because Wu is fighting doesn't mean that he has to fight.
06:33 He's just taking his time right now.
06:34 He has a ton of rounds to work, you know, still his back.
06:38 But at the same time, you don't want to get Wu confident and getting off to a quick start.
06:45 Keishon loses these rounds, these early rounds.
06:47 Good right hand.
06:48 >> Right hand has been there for Keishon Davis.
06:51 He's created the openings for it to land.
06:55 When you spar a fighter like top pound for pound, number one in the world, Terrence Crawford,
07:00 that's going to toughen you up.
07:02 Iron sharpens iron.
07:03 And then when you spend time like he did with Floyd Mayweather and gets advice for himself
07:09 from his team, he says, "All that knowledge, all that love I get from some of the best
07:14 in the game, it makes me a better fighter."
07:17 And he's showing that tonight.
07:20 >> Right hand.
07:22 Now you see Keishon starting to pick his pockets now.
07:25 He's got the timing down.
07:26 He's got the range down.
07:27 Wu has some fundamental flaws.
07:30 He does.
07:31 He does a jab.
07:32 He goes back on his back foot, puts his head back there.
07:34 Tried to turn his shoulder.
07:35 The right hand, there it is again, over the top.

08:49 reflux problems that I've had since I came back from the Olympics."
08:53 And he said, "Now I have a chef.
08:55 This camp, I didn't have to take it slow."
08:58 He said, "I had one sparring session that gave me issues, and then I went in there,
09:03 I trained so hard, and I could give it my all because I didn't feel like I was going
09:08 to get sick anymore."
09:09 Bringing in that chef changed his outlook, his output, and his performance.

09:25 Doesn't look like he's doing much, but he is.
09:28 He's reading Wu right now.
09:31 And as the rounds continue, he's going to start landing clean shots.
09:35 Wu is already starting to break down.
09:38 And when I say break down, his technique is not the greatest.
09:42 >> We had a warning from James Green to Keishon Davis to keep those punches up, but it didn't
09:49 really seem like they were low, and that's kind of the expression that Keishon gave to
09:54 the referee.
09:55 We've seen him deduct points tonight, as you see the commissioner signing off on Vincenzo
09:59 Gualtieri, the IBF world champion's gloves that he'll be using in the unification bout
10:05 tonight against Zanabek Alemhanoula, a pair of unbeaten champions stepping in the ring.
10:12 Either he takes the belts back to Germany, or Zanabek takes them back home to Kazakhstan.
10:20 So Kazakhstan finishing up the wrapping there.
10:22 Russ Amber, he's 14-0 with nine knockouts, the boogeyman of the division.
10:28 You'll have a chance to prove it tonight against another champion.
10:35 How rare is that?
10:36 >> Well, this is the first unification at middleweight since Gennady Golovkin was able
10:41 to do that, and you'll see it in tonight's main event.
10:45 >> That jab from Keishon controlling the range.
10:51 >> He controls the range.
10:53 He controls everything in there.
10:55 Everything.
10:56 You know, Wu's doing a good job using his jab, sticking and moving.
11:00 He's had success, but it won't continue.
11:02 Soon as Keishon starts to find his mark, and what he needs to do is he needs to start attacking
11:08 Wu's body to slow him down, to keep him in front of him.
11:14 >> The reason, Tim, is a lot of guys can take a head shot, but when you get hit downstairs,
11:19 it's a different type of pain, and if you're capable of inflicting that type of pain, you
11:26 become a complete fighter.
11:27 >> Well, the thing is, is Wu is slippery.
11:29 You know, his head is always moving.
11:31 He moves his head up off the line pretty quickly, so if you go down to the body, you're going
11:34 to hit something.
11:35 >> Wu actually hit the body there on Davis.
11:40 Trying to slow down a very efficient Keishon Davis.
11:44 >> I'm Tiana Tulumacalot, and I'm a top right knockout.
11:45 I think a top right knockout to me means having a community.

22:45 - Nice uppercut in the inside short.
22:56 And Wu anticipated that through a left hook down to the body.
23:01 (crowd cheering)
23:04 - I got you, I got you.
23:05 There he goes.
23:06 All right.
23:07 - Keyshawn is just stalking at this point.
23:16 Feet planted, looking for that shot.
23:19 - Yeah, but see, that's the thing.
23:20 He'll use defense.
23:21 He'll let you expand some energy or expense energy,
23:24 make you miss and then lure you to sleep.
23:26 Boom, he'll hit you with a shot.
23:30 - You know, when a guy's standing in front of you,
23:31 you really can't really hit him like you want to hit him.
23:34 Keyshawn is slippery in there.
23:36 Small little subtle movements,
23:37 moving his head, slipping outside and underneath.
23:40 Good jab.
23:44 - A power jab from Keyshawn Davis.
23:47 Sets up that one-two.
23:49 That's high praise, but also huge expectations
23:58 to be able to do what Andre Ward did at his peak.
24:03 - Absolutely.
24:04 One of the best I ever do.
24:07 - Round six is in the books between
24:09 Keyshawn and Nahir Albright.
24:12 Zhanibek Alemhanullah, seven knockouts in his last eight wins
24:17 looking to make history, unifying this belt for Kazakhstan.
24:21 (upbeat music)
24:24 - Get ready for hosting at the Home Depot
24:26 with free delivery on over.
24:28 - Here's where legends are born.
24:31 And every match is a spectacle.
24:33 - Blackhawks Avalanche, Thursday, 10 30 on ESPN.
24:36 - The Little League World Series champions.
24:43 (upbeat music)
24:45 - Aces, Liberty.
25:00 We're all about the WNBA finals.
25:02 - UFC 294, fight on ESPN plus.
25:06 - Vincenzo Gualtieri wants to take the two belts
25:09 back home to Germany.
25:11 And he brought Chef Boyardee, his Cuban trainer,
25:14 Frankie Aldama with him with that beautiful hat.
25:18 Tim, we're gonna buy you one of those hats.
25:19 I don't know if they make them in your size.
25:20 - They might do.
25:21 I think they do.
25:23 Come on now.
25:24 - Pull down on Davis.
25:29 Albright goes down.
25:30 You see the total punches 93 landed out of 203.
25:33 And although Albright has thrown 30 more punches,
25:36 he's at the halfway point of what Keyshawn
25:39 has been able to land so far.
25:40 One of those punches from Keyshawn though,
25:42 did cause a cut over the left eye of Albright.
25:46 - Keyshawn starting to find his mark now.
25:51 Trying to get a little bit more consistent with his work.
25:56 - Seems like a slight abrasion.
25:59 Let's see if it doesn't become bigger.
26:02 Mark, what do you have on that?
26:04 - The cut, Mike Bobani just told me small cut, no problem.
26:09 We got it under control.
26:11 Don Clifton, I asked him, Albright's training,
26:15 what do you do to change the course of this fight?
26:18 Change its rhythm?
26:19 He goes, I need my guy to pick up the pace.
26:21 I need him to jab more, not just once,
26:24 but two and three times.
26:25 - That's a tall order against a fighter who can counter
26:30 as well as Keyshawn does.
26:32 - Exactly.
26:32 And that's what's happening right now.
26:33 He's shutting him down.
26:35 Every punch he throws, he's getting hit with something.
26:38 Something's coming back.
26:40 - See that feint, trying to drop the levels.
26:43 - It is a nice little joust, a little probe,
26:45 and right hand over the top of the jab.
26:47 - Tim, you mentioned the eyes,
26:48 and I think that shot gave us a perfect illustration
26:51 of how Keyshawn keeps control based on his eyes
26:55 and he anticipates what you're gonna do.
26:56 - Yes.
26:58 Everything you do, and he fights on his terms only.
27:00 Just because you're throwing a lot of punches
27:01 doesn't mean that he's gonna throw a lot of punches.
27:03 He's gonna tie you up, he's gonna step inside,
27:05 he'll allow the ref to do his work.
27:07 He'll move when he needs to.
27:09 He'll come back to the center of the ring,
27:10 but he fights on his own terms.
27:12 - Off his neck, off his neck, break, break!
27:15 - Mark Regal was mentioning the fact that
27:17 Mike Labonte feels he's got the cut under control,
27:20 but now it's starting to actually bleed.
27:22 - Yeah.
27:24 - It's not causing a lot of trouble yet.
27:26 - Yeah, I don't know if it's a beating
27:28 in his vision just yet,
27:30 but it is starting to drip down.
27:31 Again, you see the technique right there,
27:34 and you see the punches that were thrown.
27:37 Those are arm punches thrown right there by Wu.
27:39 Not fully committed with his shots.
27:42 - Break! - Let me have it,
27:45 let me have it, let me have it.
27:46 Break clean, break clean.
27:48 - I like how James Green actually,
27:50 when he stopped him, he set the tone for the rest of the fight.
27:54 He was not gonna allow them to wrestle in there,
27:57 and it's become a different fight, a cleaner fight.
28:00 - Look where Keshaun's going, he's using defense,
28:05 he's letting Wu get off, but he's not hitting anything,
28:08 so he's letting him gas out a bit,
28:09 and just, he's looking for counters just like that.
28:11 Clean, effective punching.
28:13 (bell dings)
28:16 - Time!
28:16 (upbeat music)
28:19 - Only five bucks, swap for junior times two,
28:21 double the juniors, that's Cherokee.
28:23 (upbeat music)
28:26 - Aces, Liberty.
28:30 We're all about the WNBA finals.
28:34 - Knowing how filthy Sid's wrister is,
28:37 means knowing why goalies lose.
28:38 - Pro football has gone international,
28:40 and the world's most fun and lively city should be next.
28:43 (upbeat music)
28:46 - The holidays are coming to the Home Depot,
28:51 with free delivery on over two million items.
28:54 - So cool, crazy.
28:55 - Yes, guys!
28:56 - UFC 294, buy it on ESPN plus.com.
29:03 - Between round six and seven,
29:05 Nahir Albright asks his team,
29:06 "Hey, I can't see, let's listen to it."
29:09 (upbeat music)
29:12 - Relax, relax, breathe.
29:16 (upbeat music)
29:19 - The eye, I can't see.
29:21 (upbeat music)
29:23 - It's the eye, I can't see.
29:24 It's a very small cut, but Nahir Albright,
29:29 in his career, he's only been cut once,
29:32 against Sidney Mackow, it was also the left eye,
29:35 that was in March of 2018.
29:37 That's not the reaction you wanna hear from a fighter.
29:41 - No, it isn't.
29:42 And you know, you gotta take those type of actions serious.
29:47 You really do, because you don't know
29:48 if you really can't see or not.
29:50 You know, you can get hit in the right spot,
29:53 and it can deter your vision.
29:57 So, as of right now, he's doing very well
30:01 by trying to stay close,
30:02 if he really can't see out of that eye.
30:05 - And that's been one of the targets for Kishon,
30:12 with that overhand right,
30:13 especially when Albright lets the jab go.
30:16 - You know, this fight was supposed
30:19 to be challenging for Kishon.
30:21 It is actually a simple fight,
30:22 easy fight for Kishon.
30:23 Completely different skill set here.
30:27 - But he does wanna impress,
30:28 and he does wanna send a message
30:30 to the rest of the lightweights,
30:31 because when you look at 135,
30:34 Devin Haney is still the undisputed champion.
30:36 Lomachenko's there, Tank Davis, Shakur Stevenson,
30:41 William Zapata just had a great performance.
30:44 Pitbull Crews, Frank Martin is there.
30:46 So, he really wants to prove that
30:50 once those belts are vacant,
30:52 he deserves to go and fight for one of those.
30:55 - Good shot, two punch combination right there from Wu.
31:00 (crowd cheering)
31:02 - I mean, it's that urgency that
31:06 Nahir Albright is feeling with the blood,
31:08 with the issue, with his vision.
31:10 - Break, I got it, I got it, break!
31:18 Break, break, break, clean, break, clean.
31:19 - You can't box, rough it up.
31:20 - It's all part of the plan.
31:24 - Stop pushing, stop pushing.
31:29 (crowd cheering)
31:31 - Nice take from Albright,
31:32 both were landing the jab simultaneously.
31:35 And Albright finally gets his right hand go.
31:37 - Just waiting on Keyshawn to turn it up.
31:43 You know, I don't know if he gonna wait one more round
31:44 and let Wu weaken a little bit more.
31:47 Right now, it seems like he's taking this round off.
31:56 - For his career, Keyshawn Davis lands at around a 52% clip
32:00 on his power punches tonight.
32:02 He's landing at 43%, not up to his standards.
32:05 That's a nice right hand.
32:07 Albright reels backwards.
32:09 14 seconds left here in round number eight.
32:11 Time is his best ally, but his enemy Davis comes in
32:16 and catches a right hand from Nahir Albright.
32:19 - Her snake is a deadly snake.
32:23 - Great, great play there.
32:26 (upbeat music)

32:49 And every match is a spectacle.
32:51 - Blackhawks Avalanche, Thursday, 1030 on ESPN.
32:55 (upbeat music)
32:58 (upbeat music)
33:00 (upbeat music)
33:03 - Pro football has gone international
33:08 and the world's most fun and lively city should be next.
33:11 (upbeat music)
33:14 - Aces, Liberty, we're all about the WNBA finals.
33:21 - Blackhawks Avalanche, Thursday, 1030 on ESPN.
33:24 - Keyshawn Davis has been landing all night,
33:27 but Tim "Nahir" Albright had an answer there
33:30 at the end of the eighth round.
33:32 - Yeah, I mean, you know, you gotta understand
33:34 that Albright, a hurt snake is a deadly snake.
33:39 You know, Keyshawn right there running into that shot.
33:41 Albright was sitting on that right hand,
33:43 waiting on him to come in.
33:44 As you see, he tucked his head down
33:45 and he came over with that looping right hand,
33:47 catching Keyshawn Davis on his way in.
33:50 Perfect setup.
33:52 - It just goes to show you,
33:56 you can never take anything for granted
33:57 in this ring and Keyshawn, after hurting Albright,
34:00 maybe he thought, "Ooh, he's mine."
34:03 And guess what?
34:04 That's what Pacquiao thought
34:05 when Juan Manuel Marquez landed that right.
34:07 - Exactly.
34:08 - Mark, we're in round number nine.
34:11 What's your score after eight full rounds?
34:13 - 80-72, I still have a shutout by Keyshawn,
34:17 despite that rather impressive punch by Wu.
34:20 I mean, Keyshawn's making a pretty good fighter
34:24 look ordinary here.
34:24 - Ordinary.
34:26 - But he's not bad.
34:27 - And that is what great fighters do.
34:31 Esteban Falcao, 11-0,
34:33 Nahir Albright upset him.
34:36 Jermaine Ortiz gave him some trouble at 14-0-1,
34:39 although Ortiz is his last loss in February of 2022.
34:43 Balderas, an Olympian in 2016,
34:46 thought, "This is my step-up fight."
34:48 Well, he got beat July 28th,
34:51 and that got Nahir Albright this fight
34:53 because the promoters thought it would be Balderas
34:56 against Keyshawn Davis.
34:57 Olympian versus Olympian, not the case,
35:00 because Albright comes in with a mindset to win.
35:03 - Break!
35:06 I got you, I got you.
35:07 Let me have a break, please.
35:08 - See that right hand as Keyshawn
35:12 was stepping straight back.
35:14 Wu came in with a jab,
35:15 and a nice right hand right over the top
35:17 by Keyshawn.
35:20 Keyshawn buys his time.
35:22 He allows his opponents to wear themselves out.
35:25 He allows them to throw and try to catch him,
35:27 and then he'll turn it up later in the fight
35:30 and land something significant and try to hurt him.
35:32 See, all defense.
35:34 Lot of defense from Keyshawn.
35:36 But he's looking to place that one kill shot
35:41 to get his man in trouble.
35:45 - I don't know if Keyshawn's corner said,
35:51 "Hey, you got this, just box."
35:55 No, this is Keyshawn.
35:57 He likes to break you down mentally.
35:59 He takes his time.
36:02 Again, he fights on his own terms.
36:03 Just because you're swinging
36:04 doesn't mean that he has to.
36:06 - That rare ability to fight off the ropes,
36:11 gets off the ropes, turns Nahir Albright,
36:15 and Albright responds with a nice right to the body.
36:23 Albright stepping on the gas right now,
36:26 showing he has heart.

37:04 (upbeat music)
37:06 - Here's where legends are born.
37:24 And every match is a spectacle.
37:26 - Aces, Liberty, we're all about.
37:29 - Gotta give Nahir Albright a lot of credit
37:33 because other fighters, just out of frustration,
37:37 Tim, would have folded, but Albright has countered
37:41 with right hands on Keyshawn Davis
37:43 over the last two rounds and found some success.
37:45 - He just brought up the intensity.
37:50 That was it.
37:51 The tempo, letting his hands go.
37:53 You know, he's having a hard time landing.
37:56 If he throws combinations, something will eventually land.
38:02 - Nice left from Davis.
38:04 Albright tries to counter himself.
38:07 - Albright just gotta be careful
38:08 he don't walk into something.
38:09 Keyshawn trying to set him up right now,
38:11 playing peekaboo.
38:12 He's here one minute, go on the next.
38:15 If Albright gets a little bit too relaxed,
38:17 he's gonna run into something.
38:18 - You see the footwork, head movement of Keyshawn Davis.
38:25 The influence of Terrence "Butt" Crawford
38:30 as well as Shakur Stephenson.
38:33 This young man has a crew around him
38:37 in a good sense that looks out for him.
38:41 And it all starts with his mother, Wanda, who's his manager.
38:43 His brothers are also fighting.
38:45 They call themselves the DB3, the Davis Brothers 3.
38:49 Keyon is gonna make his pro debut soon.
38:52 And we just saw Kelvin Davis earn his 10th professional win
38:56 tonight as well on our ESPN Plus undercard.
38:59 So this is a fighting family
39:01 and this is a moment for Davis to take over.
39:05 - Keyshawn doesn't wanna mess around
39:19 with referee James Green.
39:21 - Keyshawn's not feeling well.
39:28 I'm just gonna let you know that right now.
39:30 I mean, there's so many opportunities
39:32 for him to be able to land counters.
39:34 And you see, he's just trying to go
39:35 through the motions right now.
39:37 Could be issues again with his stomach.
39:39 - And has been a lingering issue since the Olympics
39:42 that Keyshawn Davis has been dealing with.
39:44 He said he hired a personal chef to be with him
39:47 this entire camp, felt better than ever.
39:50 But then come fight night,
39:51 you never know how your body's gonna react.
39:55 Oh, nice counter from Nahir Albright,
39:57 taking it to Keyshawn Davis here in Brownsville.
40:00 - It is, letting them hands go.
40:01 I told you, you gotta fight it with good defense.
40:04 You let your hands go, especially if he's slipping
40:06 and trying to avoid bobbing and weaving.
40:09 Something will eventually get in.
40:11 And right there, you see an Albright
40:13 having success just letting his hands go.
40:15 - You have to say, great finish from Nahir Albright
40:21 over the last three rounds,
40:22 getting those hands to land on the chin of Keyshawn Davis,
40:27 who proved tonight that he does have some whiskers
40:30 because Nahir Albright has seven knockouts and 16 wins.
40:34 This fight comes to an end, they go after the bell.
40:37 Nahir Albright proved to be competitive.
40:40 Keyshawn Davis showed exactly why
40:44 he is considered a blue chip prospect.
40:47 Now, top-ranked boxing on ESPN is presented by AutoZone.
40:53 Get in the zone.
40:55 And in part by Geico.
40:57 You know what?
40:58 It's easy to Geico.
41:00 What's not easy is to hit Keyshawn Davis.
41:05 - It's not. - Nahir Albright
41:06 was able to do it late.
41:07 - Oh, he's able to do it late because again,
41:10 you know, Keyshawn Davis, I tell you, something was wrong.
41:13 You know, he wasn't letting his hands go at the end,
41:14 but look at the beginning of the fight.
41:16 This was all about counterpunching,
41:17 taking his time, setting up.
41:18 This is quintessential Keyshawn Davis.
41:21 This is the way he operates in the ring.
41:23 He fights when he wants to fight people,
41:25 but he's so dang good at it.
41:27 You know, superb fundamentals, technique,
41:29 excellent footwork, great back foot counters,
41:32 front foot counters, as you saw
41:33 with the right hand right there.
41:34 Good chopping right hands, left hooks.
41:37 You know, he's a total package.
41:38 Good footwork, great defense moving forward.
41:40 I can't wait until he fights Pedraza.
41:42 He simply won this fight.
41:43 This was easy, hands down.
41:45 He won this fight, no doubt.
41:46 - The CompuBox numbers don't lie.
41:48 - Look at the percentage.
41:49 - The only thing here that usually, Tim,
41:51 the lightweight average is 35.6%
41:53 in terms of power percentage landed.
41:56 Keyshawn landed 51%.
41:58 That usually ends up in a knockout.
42:00 So it's gonna be interesting to hear
42:02 what was wrong with him.
42:04 And Mark, what is your final unofficial scorecard here
42:08 after 10 rounds?
42:10 - I got eight rounds to two.
42:14 Keyshawn, you know, I thought he took his foot off the gas
42:17 a little bit at the end.
42:18 I don't know why, but you know,
42:20 again, he made a pretty good fighter look ordinary.
42:24 - Well, I don't know if he was ordinary tonight,
42:29 but because he came back.
42:31 And when you make a guy look ordinary,
42:32 you completely beat them mentally.
42:35 And that was not the case because Nahir Albright,
42:38 we talked about him having a tough go.
42:41 His previous five opponents had won 95% of their fights,
42:44 69, three and one in 73 fights.
42:46 And then they threw him in against Keyshawn Davis,
42:49 who's as blue chip as they come.
42:51 He held his own in the last few rounds.
42:52 Mark Chinook, what's the official decision?
42:55 - Ladies and gentlemen, after 10 rounds here
42:59 inside the Fort Bend Epicenter,
43:01 we go to the judges' scorecards for the official decision.
43:05 John Basile scores the bout 95-95.
43:11 Robert Hoyle scores the bout 96-94.
43:17 And David Sutherland scores the bout 97-93
43:22 for your winner by majority decision.
43:25 And still, USBA WBO Intercontinental
43:31 WBC USA Lightweight Champion,
43:35 Keyshawn "The Businessman" Davis!
43:40 - Majority decision for Keyshawn Davis.
43:45 It seemed a lot closer on the scorecards
43:48 than it looked in the ring,
43:49 but they were giving credit to Nahir.
